THAT EAR TWITCHING WAS very distracting (in a cute way), and though Ozymandias had tried to ignore it, he found himself slowly turning his attention back to the other with increased curiosity. Was it a cat? Ozymandias knew cats when he saw one, and it appeared to be very much akin to a cat. If such was indeed the case, it already earned bonus points for just existing around him, such automatically putting the Sun King in the best of moods. Humming with faint intrigue, he reached out, scratching behind that adorable fluffy ear in the same manner he would any feline that earned his favor.

Merlin is one of my favourite people I've ever met on this silly little website, that's for sure! We crossed paths way back when I was in the trenches of my n.aru part ii spiral and dealing with the state of the world and damn if that wasn't something I really needed at the time. From the first awkward 'hello there ^_^' I sent to current day, it has been a sheer joy to interact with and a pleasure to have on my dash and will always been on my must follow regardless of what muse it has.

Merlin has such a beautiful oc in Aviv, I adore him deeply (can confirm I have merch). I love the depth of the lore considered for him, how that applies to different universes and what is non-negotiable. The richness of dynamics is brilliant and I love the range we have from the friendship with Diluc to the parental dynamic with Gilgamesh to the whatever the fuck they are with Tartaglia and beyond. It's always interesting to explore, it always makes me think and never fails to keep me interested. And that's even without considering how up for connections merlin is. If I have an idea it's always heard, it's always considered well and I'm do grateful for it.

When I was getting back into anime rp it would be fair to say that merlin was someone who helped me have fun with it again. To write the silly little ask because we'd talked about a scenario, to throw that muse against that one and see what happened and to not stress too hard about replies and getting them done. And I think how fun merlin is makes it such a great friend to interact with. Whether its kiss and run or mask on mask action, or moving all the furniture 1 inch to the left prank wars some of our interactions have been ridiculous and all the better for it.

And the canon muses are all so brilliant too. I think Merlin has a talent for taking a muse and drilling right down into the details. In particular the body anatomy studies thrill me I find them fascinating to see how detailed they are (and I get to admire their art to which I love can confirm I have multiple pieces!)

So yeah Merlin is my bröther and I think it's really really neat. Whether its introducing me to a new media ( f.go / k.ny / land of the lustrous are all it's fault to name a few) or infodumping to me about a muse or interest, or showing art it's been up to I always enjoy spending time with it and I'm so very glad to have it in my life.

@ofpathos: with a delighted little gasp, aviv rushes over to dormancy (completely ignoring gallagher) and immediately starts stroking its smooth, crystalline surface; as well as peppering little kisses on its... face...? what could only be described as its face, anyway.

"hi babyyy, who's a good boyy? oh you look so handsome today, look at youuu!" is praised with quiet giggles and a scrunched up nose. aviv, you dumb fuck.

There's only the slightest quirk of an eyebrow as the bartender watches Aviv practically sprint towards the looming creature at his side - most people would run away, but not Aviv. Never Aviv.

Lips curve slowly into a smile bearing great amusement as soft kisses are littered upon the meme's face and adoring praise showered upon it - and there is a quiet hum of contentment that rumbles in the man's throat, which is echoed by the happy chitters from the memetic entity, whose head now tilts at just the same angle as Gallagher's.

An observant eye would perhaps make a certain connection here: the synchronicity of both movement and reaction shared between man and meme; the way the bartender almost preens beneath the compliments bestowed upon the creature; and the rather unsettling realisation that Gallagher is smiling with slightly too many pointed teeth.

But, not Aviv, apparently.

A hand catches the halovian's waist; a firm, broad chest is pressed snug to its back. Coarse facial hair tickles against Aviv's cheek as Gallagher leans over its shoulder to murmur, "Thank you," with a voice that seems layered - the smooth tones of the bartender, and a more inhuman echo. "I do look handsome today. Glad someone noticed."

There's breathless laughter that skates across his lips as his back hits the wall, the rough scratch of brick paling in comparison to the grip of the hand at his hip, the touch of fabric beneath his fingers and the ghost of breath against his lips. He leans in again, making them meet, tugging forcefully so there is not an inch of space between them, refusing to waste any time when the Sumerian markets bustle with crowds more than likely to grow any time soon and disturb their hiding spot.

He did not take the long route for his mission, traipsing through a jungle that he only enjoys for the battle it offers and not the oppressive heat, to be interrupted at his first chance of seeing the one he sought.

Fingers loosen from fabric but only to seek the nape of the other, curling around with precision, keeping Aviv close even as he bites at its lips. He might prefer the sting of fangs against his shoulder, the way it draws blood from him with tender violence, but he is not immune to returning the favour.

Only when breath demands his attention does he lean back, dishevelled but smiling as far as those dead eyes will allow. "Surprise, care to take me somewhere quieter? I'll make it worth your while..." He's certain it's a little curious about why he isn't lurking in Dragonspine as the intel ought to say at the very least.
