Author's Note:

The writings I compose are often a song of struggles that haunt my mind and person. I use the writing to project and give space to the highs and lows that befall me and the people around me. Some fantasy and fiction, some reality: you will find both heavy and happy in my stories.

Directly put, I don’t shy away from heavy themes, and my stories are therefore sometimes pregnant with immorality (I will warn before the story), dealing with themes like: the aftermath assault, sexuality and sexual dysfunctions, death and suicide, jealousy and psychopathy, addiction and aversion.

Headcanons Petra! (Petra Ral from AOT)

Hi! Here is a list of headcanons about Petra! I'm never going to write about those (no time, want, skills) but I feel the urge to put them out so here they are (they're about Petra mainly, but ships are mentioned. I also have HC about the other members of the squad, but not here. this is long enough already haha.) :

1. I see her as someone anxious in general (with an anxiety disorder eventually) and struggling a lot with the idea of being loved for herself. She is the team player, she is there for other and valued about what she can bring to them. What she can do. But then it poses the question : "can I be loved for myself? and not what I can bring people?" I think that even if she is popular she does really struggle with this, people and being friendly. And loved. (And if she survives after the war there'd be a big identity crisis : is she truly who she is or was it forced upon her by the situation? Does she even want to be that teamplayer/people person. Dedicated fully to helping others to the point of losing herself in the process? Does she has a right to not want it/fell comfortable in it. More on the next HC.)

2. If she survived she would have left after the war to travel and help rebuild. It took her years to come, if she came back at all. (In my old rivetra verse she comes back... or she did at first. Now I don't know.). I think the special situation, and who she is as a person, would lead to some complexe psychological stuff. They go from people that dedicated their lives to humanity, basically giving their whole, existing by and through others to... well. freedom. And the country that you know: committed a genocide. And Petra for me is someone that herself would have an identity crisis, and guilt. Who is she? She always was the team player, the people person, the glue of the teams she was on. She was dedicated. Total abnegation.

So now it poses the question: is she truly like that? Is it truly her... does she want it to be her?

But, there's also guilt, a feeling of obligation  maybe. Yes it wasn't her fault, or evene those of most of thr civilians, but still! The world is destroyed. Does she has a right? to be free? To ask those questions about herself? and contemplate the idea to stop, stop giving, stop helping, and take care of herself? doesn't she has a moral obligation to help rebuild?

Does she has a right to not be helping others?

I think there's also trauma, and that's what she's known her whole life : belonging to a higher cause. Existing by and through it.

So yeah. Trauma, guilt, identity crisis. She leaves, to go helping.

3. She is not dedicated to Levi himself but humanity. And Levi is the hope for it, so she follows him as a symbol, but not him as a man. He is just a man. And she is independant.

But I do see her as someone passionate that does need to dedicate herself, get her whole being into something. Like well humanity, or in modern days I see her as a ballerina, or other professions like that that just take you whole.

She needs to belong to something, she has a lot of passion and needs to get it out. But it's a dedication to something, not someone, whatever her ship is.

4. I like her better unattached. Or with women/afab people.

(Also, I used to think Petra might get a kid or two but now I don't really see her with kids at all. 🤔 She is maternal yeah, but I don't see her having her own, or like wanting her own. I actually wrote in the lantern festival some kid thing, but I really changed my mind since then. 🤔 Changed my mind about a lot of things.)

5. She's a good leader. She could have her own squad. She's actually Levi's true second in command I think.

6. She doesn't actually have "a temper". She is calm and mature. But yeah, she can get defensive and assertive and a bit impulsive. But she doesn't "have a temper". She stands her ground and she cares about things and people, she is a passionate person. But she doesn't have a temper. She is patient. And more of a reserved, calm, silent person, observative too. Very observative actually.

(for me, those are my personal HC! and nothing wrong with having a temper. I'm pretty impulsive myself.)

7. Being the team player actually means a lot in terms of skills. It means that one is very observant, but also very reactive and very very adaptable. Lots of very. They don't just have to insert themselves in situations, they have to do it well, and in adequation with the situation and the person they are helping. All of that in urgent situations with very little time to see and decide and act. They also have to know when they are needed exactly, be able to insert themselves, so they need to see where and how they can act but also communicate it to not surprise the other person.

It also means thinking on the spot, very quickly. Then, eventually switching everything in an instant.

So it's also being adaptable and reactive.

So yeah.

Lots of skills with that position. (haven't listed them all I think. Really a lot of skills, when you think about it.)

8. Not a HC but canon I believe, but she loves sweets.

9. Her mother died when she was young. Her father was absent for a while, emotionally I mean, and let her deal with herself, a bit Like Riza in FMA. But contrary to Riza he was never abusive, and he came back. +In FMA it was never said if he always was like that or not I believe. Petra's father was very loving. He just withdrew emotionally because of grief, and I imagine fell into depression. They never talk about it.

10. Her mother was working in wall Mitras, military police. But they lived in a village in a rural, forest, area.

11. In modernAU/our world AU she is scottish

12. modern AU, our world or SNK, she is a ballerina. It just fits her so well I think. The feminine delicate looking, being but also being incredibly strong and determined and disciplined. Also soulful, sensitive bc art, and giving her whole to something. There was more about that but I wrote this so long ago, right now it doesn't come to my mind. but Yeah, that duality inherent to ballet and ballerinas and Petra herself. Also I don't know, it just fits her. I had more to say about this topic that will forever be lost to the bottomless depths of my memory. Lots of things lost there.

14. She had a few dalliance with other women when in training and her first years in the corps.

15. She is around 26/27 when she dies.

16. She loves movement. She just loves moving, that's a part of her. And as sensitive and emotional and soulful as she is, she expresses herself through movement, not words. But she loves to read. She is someone of movements and actions.

17. Don't ask why but I now ship her with Viktor from Tua. Or Hanpeto (masc Hange more). But Viktor more.

My interest and fandom switched, but I can't leave Petra behind fully... So I still have some unfinished Rivetra, and Petra and squad, and some Hanpeto stuff to post. Drawings/paintings mostly but also some writings, to get out. I can't let go of them. Many are unfinished and Idk if I'll be able to finish the written ones. Or maybe I could post them unfinished. But I have some finished OS I just have to edit and post. Some were supposed to belong to bigger stories but well... :(

My interest has dropped. I am battling the idea of not having produced some things I really am proud of and happy with for the fandom, like not having represented the character as I wanted. Not having said and shown the things I wanted to say and show. Maybe I am just too hard on myself. I was proud of things I wrote and painted when I did them.

But anyways interest is not there anymore so eh. I also have ideas I think could be very interesting but never managed to finish and now I don't think I will manage, same reason. My adhd brain is not interested in it anymore so it doesn't see the point and I have so much things I'm not interested in but must do to do already...

Anyways. If you made it here, congrats on surviving my ramblings :) I still have some things related to Petra even Rivetra to post as I said. Just don't know when 🙈 But if there's a few people still into Petra and the squad, eventually Rivetra and some Hanpeto, there is some more to come :)

Hello! I've been trying to work on some of my really old requests (hence my post last week) and this is another I've finished. I'm sorry if it's not really what you wanted, I'm short-ish and curvy and I struggled a bit to write this. But I hope you like some of the ideas I have. ❤️

Levi

Considering Levi’s height, he’s good to talk to if it’s something you’re feeling down about or if people are teasing you. He’s the first to jump to your defence and will always put others in their place if they are rude to you.

He feels you’re the perfect size and makes sure to tell you this.

A part of the ‘small but tough’ club and will extend his hand for you to join.

Helps you to find a horse that’s just right for you, he appreciates the horses a lot of the others ride will be too tall and too broad for you so he takes care in finding you just the right one and one that you have a bond with.

If you were dating - Cuddles are the best, you just slot together so perfectly, neither one is too tall nor too short to comfortably kiss, hold hands etc.

Oluo

Can be a little mean but it’s his way of showing affection as we already know, can it be frustrating, absolutely.

Compliments how much your curves suit you and how attractive you are. But also will make a comment along the lines of being ‘as cute as a button’.

Can be quite protective, it’s okay for him to give you nicknames, but others? Nope, Oluo is not having it – he knows that you know he means it in an affectionate way (perhaps he even has a little crush) but if others are doing it just to be mean or spiteful he won’t mince his words. As Oluo isn’t overly tactful at times, he’d probably just punch them to be honest.

Did I mention cute nicknames? Some of them can be a little cringe.

If you were dating, I could imagine him showing you off a lot like you’re one of a kind. It is a little patronising, but Oluo will listen, if you give him a bit of time and stop. Instead he’d just like holding your hand and subtle public displays of affection.

Petra

Likes going clothes shopping together and picking out items that suit you as well as her. Sometimes you manage to get clothes that you can both wear, nice long dress on you, a short little number on her… it works, somehow.

But honestly Petra doesn’t even notice your height, she just thinks you’re neat just how you are and so your height and body type don’t really come up. If they do and it’s because someone has been mean to you, Petra is very good at reassuring you, being motivational and helping you to love yourself just as you.

Absolutely knows that size isn’t everything and regardless or height or body type you can be just as deadly as the others. Tactics may be different for you, but aren’t they for everyone?

She loves hanging out in cafes with you and drinking hot chocolate with lots of cream and marshmallows, sampling different delights and generally trying to forget about ‘work’.

If you’re dating - Movie nights huddled under blankets and eating popcorn, something about you is just so cosy to her.

Eld

Is really protective over you, he doesn’t mean to be patronising but he can’t help but feel like he wants to watch over you.

You remind him a little of one of his sisters which makes it difficult for him to let go of you.

Suggests a prank where one day you where stilts to be as tall as he is.

Thinks you are perfect just the way you are and will quite confidently and happily say this to anyone.

Eld feels like you complete the group, you’re all slightly different heights and builds and to him this makes for an excellent team.

Encourages you to be the middle of team hugs!

Will lift you up high when celebrating a victory and loves to have a few drinks with you, even though you’re small he knows you can be a fierce drinking opponent.

If dating – Eld loves picking you up and having you wrap your legs round his waist. He holds onto you with ease and loves this position because it’s easy to kiss you.

Gunther

Knows that although you’re small you can be determined and still speak loudly and assertively, it’s one of the things Gunther loves about you.

If you can’t see something that’s ahead or don’t have a very good view (Modern au – like concerts, gigs etc.) Gunther would be the first to pick you up and let you sit on his shoulders.

And if you said anything about the fact you were curvy, and would this be okay he would absolutely reassure you and praise you.

Gunther is secretly (not so secretly) a really good baker so he’ll bring you lots of delicious homemade breads, cakes etc. He knows you have a sweet tooth and thinks you’re adorable for it – after all you need a lot of sugar to convert into energy for all the work you do, whether training or out in the field! He’s very happy to oblige with this.

Also makes a great partner in crime for baking with and generally getting messy in the kitchen.

If dating – Gunther is 100% the big spoon and loves it.

I've ranted this about with moon but still I wanted this to be paid attention or something

First of all bringing this up is not invalidating Levi Squad's death because it happened years back, no, because no matter how old a death scene might be, the characters mean something to us and their death has affected us and besides I lowk loved them

This is about Eren having fingers pointed at him for not dying and being the cause of their death which is not, why? Because

If you're not an ignorant loser and have scrolled down, you can see that Eren wants to fight but Levi Squad isn't allowing him to, tells him to trust them. God why? Since Levi took custody of him, it is their job, their responsibility to protect Eren who is a valuable asset to Humanity as he wields a power like never before, if they let him fight that's them not fulfilling the duty they were assigned to and not only that they're letting Eren die or get taken, if Eren dies or get taken, Humanity has lost its last hope

And also Eren not trusting them hurts their pride, it feels like Eren is underestimating them, when they're the Levi Squad led by Captain Levi who is Humanity's Strongest Soldier and also they're saying that because yeah they want Eren to trust them, to believe them since they are a squad, if there is no trust then the Squad cannot operate smoothly which in the previous episodes/chapters is what they're trying to do for better communication or for an upper hand in controlling Eren

If you wanted this to be prevented you should look at the courtroom scene where if Levi didn't beat the shit out of Eren and was handed to the Military Police but no, the Survey Corps was desperate and Levi had beaten Eren up

So am I saying this is the SC's fault? No. Honestly who wouldn't be desperate to end the Titans and find answers. Am I saying it is Levi Squad's fault? Fuck no, like I said this is their responsibility and fighting the Female Titan is just them doing their job and also avenging their comrades. And God as much as I love Annie I'd say it is her that is responsible for Levi Squad's death

Because if Annie wasn't there then Levi Squad would still be alive even if Eren was with them

I don't know what made you guys think that Eren is at fault here, but I can clearly see some of you haven't read some shit right

Hi again!

I love the OG Levi Squad, haha. It's just sad that we really don't get to spend much time with them before they're killed. So it's a little hard to form an opinion on most of their personalities. Really, I think Petra and Oluo are the only ones we get any, real look at in terms of personality, and it's funny, because they're both obviously enamored with Levi.

But Oluo is especially kind of funny, because he practically idolizes Levi and tries to actually pattern himself after him, but he's completely different from Levi in terms of personality, so it doesn't really work, lol. He's very outwardly emotional and a little silly, and he kind of focuses on making himself into an efficient titan killer to try and emulate Levi, trying to make it a contest between him and the other squad members for who's "most like Levi". One of the funnier moments in the story is when Petra calls him out on it and tells him he acts nothing like Levi, because Levi doesn't brag and doesn't need to brag about his prowess in killing titans. Everyone knows he's the best. So calling him the first Levi fangirl seems accurate, haha.

What's really interesting is that Levi isn't someone I would call charismatic. He's not the sort of person that draws you in and gains ones admiration through his winning personality, lol. He's so blunt and honest that, in fact, it tends to have the opposite effect, and turns people away. So his squad's admiration of him, we have to assume, can only come from getting to really know him, and coming to respect him for who he is. And I think that's sort of the case with everyone who gets to know Levi. He isn't going to charm you, but once you spend real time around him, you realize what a good man he really is, and how much he genuinely cares about others. And I think Oluo's desire to be like Levi really comes from that. He wants to be a hero, and he sees Levi as a real hero, so he tries to pattern his behavior and even his look off of him. I think it must be weird for Levi too, because he probably thinks he's the last person anyone should try to be like, even as we know Levi's actually an extremely admirable, even idyllic man. But it's kind of testament to Levi's authenticity, that once you really get to know him, that's when people start to really respect him and even want to be like him. We see it happen with the 104th too. They're all a bit iffy about Levi at first, but by the end of the story, they trust and respect him more than just about anybody else.

I think Petra must be the same. She has that exchange with Eren early on about Levi not being what people expect him to be. He's known to the public as "Humanity's Strongest", but when you meet him, he's this short little guy with a seemingly bad attitude. People hear his title and probably expect someone like Erwin. This idealized image of a real man, tall and shining and perfect. But then, you don't really see anyone trying to be like Erwin within the actual SC. I think, after a while, it's Erwin who maybe comes across as more unreachable and on a pedestal than Levi, and it's Levi who people begin to connect with and feel closer too. Even Erwin felt that way, opening up to Levi and revealing his true self to him when he couldn't with anyone else. I think people appreciate Levi's sincerity after a while, because they realize it means they can trust him. Charming people are often charming because they're liars and manipulators. Levi's the opposite of that.

So, yeah, I think the OG squad really admired Levi and wanted to be like him because they'd spent probably more time around him than anyone else, and came to know him well as a result. They knew they could trust him and rely on him, and understood that, despite his stoic demeanor, he's actually incredibly compassionate.

Eden had been in charge of ensuring Eren was locked away for the night, before Oruo took first watch. The kid hadn't turned into a titan in his sleep thus far – but they'd continue the ritual, out of precaution. Eden could tell by the look on Eren's face that he had hoped Petra would be the one to escort him to his makeshift quarters; she was far kinder than Eden could ever be. But she got the job done, followed her orders to the letter, and left Eren without extending any pleasantries.

She emerges from the dark and damp room, shutting the door behind her and giving Oruo a look that read, 'have fun down here.' He makes a face at her – which Eden ignores as she ascends the stairs.

Her boots pad along the floor of the castle as she makes her way to find the Captain. Her eyes scan the walls and windows ; Petra's words echo through her mind that at one point, this place must have been beautiful. Now, it was long-abandoned, and served as their headquarters. Still, they'd managed to clean it up nicely ( after several days ) ––  she wonders how long they'd stay quartered there.

Soon enough, she finds Levi in the kitchen ; it appears she doesn't have to announce her presence – he was quite vigilant, after all. So, Eden crosses her arms and leans against the doorframe to give her report. ❛ Cellar's secure, Captain. ❜ She glances past him for a moment, eyeing the teapot on the stove before her attention returns to Levi. ( Perhaps she'll have some, to wind down. ) She's also feeling a bit chatty, it seems ; she didn't bother making conversation with Eren – so she'll strike up conversation with the Captain, if he was in the mood. ❛ You think the kid can get his abilities under control? ❜ It was safe to say she and the others had their personal reservations, but would follow orders regardless.

Oluo has a lot of hair. On his head, his chest, his arms and armpits, his happy trail, his upper legs, his you-know-where. All blonde curls tangled and smoothed.

Hello. Here is in drawing form the follow up for the writing project. It didn't go as planned, started badly and then a week ago my cat died. It disturbed things and that's a euphemism. I still wanted to finish, so I drew and painted the small sketches, I have a sketches for "Celebration" in the making. It'll be late but we'll. it'll be done. I don't know for the written form, I want to finish it too besides in the tradition, the Ukrainian one today goes with Christian timeline and ia in january. I'll see I have other projects I like.

So here all the painted sketches. Each took an element of paganism, celtic and ukrainian.

The first is Eld and the goat (fermented drinks, celtic). Goat Ukrainian.

Then we have Petra and the Mistletoe (Celtic) I redid it a hundred time it's still not good but deal with it. I am done with that one.

Gunther carrying loads of decorations, the music instruments are a reference to the Ukrainin tradition of going from house to house with music instruments singing carols.

Following that tradition usually papier maché suns on sticks were carried during those tours to sing.The ukrainian Koliadà is about he rebirth of the sun and the celtic one is als very light and dark and rebirth of the light. Interesting isn't it?

Then we have the pinecones. Celtic one. Oluo is the one here.

Decoration. Not a specific tradition. Petra and Eld and a pinecone. Yeah he is supposed to be leaning on a fireplace. It's a conceptual abstract Kandinsky fireplace. And her skirt is a very very simplifiedd version of a skirt from Revintaria. Slow fashion indie brand of handmade clothes from Poland. (Her shirt too is inspired by some of theirs. Salem for the cut, in particular).

Now our dear Oluo still braving the cold, with his pinecones on his shoulder, for the tree (Evergreen, celtic tradition). With a Levi because why not them doing stuff together too?

Oak log and Eld. Celtic BUT the ukrainian too has a log thing for the bonfire. Bonfires plural for the ukrainian because they light them several months whilst going on tours to sing carols to people.

Mulled wine. Ukrainian. Yeah fermented goat milk and mulled wine. They're gonna drink a lot.

Feast. Celtic, Ukrainian too. For the dead (I believe the celtic is the same idea of honoring the dead with the feast). Eld and Gunther. yeah they look extra long, they too decided to go into space and became extra elastic as a result. (I don't remember exactly did they go into space or was it a lab thing? for the fantastic 4). a little disappointed by the picture, the perspective doesn't show well. The depth is better in real life, here the blue is washed out quite a bit.

Then Holly, celtic. Oluo sewing, bc lots of brothers and sisters and why not? I HC him as good for sewing, in particular small precise stuff, embroideries, etc. Petra bigger stuff, Gunther knitting (Oluo too!). Eld not so much, basic stitching of humans and rough on tissues but not more. Again the picture washed the colors out a lot and the contrast doesn't show well, on that one it's already not the best irl so here... sorry, not the best.

I believe they are all here. Celebration is missing, I'll do it for tomorrow, I won't paint it in 16 minutes. I wanted to do an after celebration too but meh don't know I have other projects in mind.

I had fun even if the end result is just colored sketches and not very good. But I had fun and learnt a lot and it's a project I finished even if it's not like I first envisioned it.

Last words : I miss my cat. A lot. Really really miss him...

*Koliadà my researches say that yes, today it's in January, because it merged with christianism but it's originally for the witner solstice!

missing eruri hours

HC Levi gets to Hogwarts and he’s weird, intense, and edgy so everyone thinks he’s going to be in Slytherin. But sike! He’s a Gryffindor, but bc he is so stereotypically ~emo and unapproachable~ he doesn’t fit in. He kinda gets bullied (for being poor, for being an orphan, for being seen as an easy target, etc) and he just takes it because he’s emotionally exhausted. And he has no friends…

UNTIL

… he gets (forcefully) adopted as a friend by two bickering Hufflepuffs named Auruo and Petra. Petra sees Levi sitting alone at a meal and purposefully sits with him (despite having to be at the wrong table), dragging her bestie along for the ride. At first Levi is just a third-wheel to their constant (but loving) arguing but that gives him the time to soften. They don’t force him to open up but goddammit they will not let him wallow in loneliness!!! He has been adopted by extroverts.

The circle grows to include a kind Gryffindor named Eld, who was one of the few in the House that was polite to Levi to start with. Eld was out of the picture until now bc he was busy running the Gobstones club. That’s why he originally wasn’t as there for Levi- simply he didn’t have time to breathe- but he learns to time-manage better and now joins the crew. He brings with him a clubmate, a contemplative Ravenclaw named Gunther. And then another, louder Ravenclaw named Hange.

(And across the Great Hall, Levi falls for a Slytherin named Erwin.)

And this crew goes on adventures and gets into soooo much trouble together. It’s a weird group but you *do not* screw with them. People no longer pick on Levi for this very reason: you know you’re about to get fucked up if you see people standing up from all four tables to come at you.
