According to Sydney Sweeney series three of EUPHORIA is due to return to filming in two months. Since series two last airdate (February 2022), Jacob Elordi has gotten a lot of work in. One such fruit of his labour is the upcoming Justin Kurtzel (NITRAM, THE TRUE HISTORY OF THE KELLY GANG) Amazon Prime Video mini-series THE NARROW ROAD TO THE DEEP NORTH.

What is it about?

This is just one Elordi project that is in the pipeline - there is of course, the currently in production FRANKENSTEIN, Paul Schrader's OH CANADA and Daniel Minahan's ON SWIFT HORSES where Elordi plays the love interest of Diego Calva (BABYLON)

Of course!

Fyzz and the Twins- Fyzz is a scraped Robo Fizz that was different than the others with new experimental programming (more 'free will' added to the usual 'obey owner' kinda program) that was later deemed a waste and as a result he was set to be scraped and partially destroyed while in the factory since he couldn't be sold, hence his situation, Fyzz was repurposed by Ozzie who took an interest in this 'special' robot and made stronger with better programming to suit Ozura and Fonzarelli as their around the clock (babysitter-) bodyguard whenever they need him until they get old enough to fend for themselves. Fyzz doesn't mind his situation. He loves the kids, but he's kinda scared of the real Fizzarolli. That imp can be very intimidating.

Whitney, Lucas, and Gem-Stone- Whitney and Lucas share the same bodyguard, Gem-Stone since they spend so much time together anyways. Gemmy was actually recommended to their family by Charlie who saw potential in Her unique magic abilities and odd powerful physical strength. Whitney and Gem-Stone get along fairly well but she tends to butt heads with Lucas over his opinions about her brother but little does she know that he may have deeper secret feelings.

Wild-Card and Berry- Berry's been canadate for Wild-Cards bodyguard for a while since her father's literally his mother's bodyguard. A family tradition if you will being kept.

Indigo, Helsing, and Lacy- Indigo is the reluctant bodyguard to Prince Helsing and his younger (adopted-) sister Lacey. Having been trained by both his mother and Jill in combat, Indigo is a force to be reckoned with under that fluffy fur. So far the only other person to have beaten him in combat his age is Berry who he is fairly good friends with.

Lunetta and Maxxie- Despite Maxxie's shorter height, she's a very capable fighter and personal friends with Lunetta as well as her body guard.

Charles and Gossamer- (Alternate next gens) Charles and Gossamer's relationship is...Rocky at best. Gossamer's a capable fighter being the son of a demon slayer and Vaggie, but he only really took up the position of being Charles's bodyguard was to keep an eye on him especially around his crush which just so happens to be his little sister. Charles however doesn't care or mind that Gossamer could overpower him if he oh so pleased.

so i finally went to alberta! and here's how it went :D

flew to calgary yyz to yyc via porter - this was my first time flying porter and i gotta say, i loved it!

got to calgary and waited about an hour to pick up our rental car (toyota corolla) and then another hour trying to figure out what carseat to put in....and then another half hour trying to fit the luggage and stroller into the trunk (part of the stroller had to be put into the passenger seat cause i just couldn't do it!)

went to have lunch at kolachi which was super close to the airport

headed over to the hotel (pocaterra inn and waterslide) and after check in basically esa and i went straight into their pool and had fun

then we grabbed dinner from mcd's and called it a night and slept

sep 8, 2023

woke up the next morning at 4:30 am thanks to esa's "jet lag" (calgary is two hours behind toronto soooo 4:30 am there is 6:30 am here in toronto and that's generally when esa wakes up here)

then went down for breakfast at the hotel

got ready and headed to the gondola ride

met our next door neighbours and took a picture together there

spent the morning there, rode the gondola up sulphur mountain and walked the whole pathway to the very end to see canads's first weather station

after the gondola ride we drove through downtown banff and decided to stop at bow falls

by the time we got to bow falls, esa had fallen asleep in the car and so yasir and esa decided to stay in the car while i went out and took some pictures

i'd been out maybe for 10 minutes when yasir called and let me know that the rental had a FLAT TIRE

oh boy - so we called thrifty to get some help (luckily we had gotten the full coverage protection package) and ended up being on the phone with them for about an hour and a half while someone came by to replace the tire with the spare. ultimately decided we needed to go back to yyc and have the car replaced and there was no thrifty location in banff or nearby and even their sister company hertz didn't have any replacement cars available

so we went back to the airport, replaced the car and managed to get a bigger one (camry) - THIS was the silver lining because dang the toyota was T I N Y

and basically that was our whole afternoon; afterwards we drove back to banff downtown and walked around and spent the night there

then we grabbed dinner again at mcd's and then back to the inn where esa had a HUGE nighttime tantrum because he was so SEVERELY exhausted (huge parenting mistake on my part). calmed him down and eventually put him to sleep and went to sleep myself

the next morning we woke up and had breakfast at pocaterra inn

got dressed and went to see lake minnewanka

we drove down lake minnewanka scenic drive and saw two jack lake and then lake minnewanka and stopped and walked along lower bankhead trail which was where the "bankhead ghost town" is located (old mining site)

after that we drove to johnston canyon and decided to stop and have lunch

after lunch we just decided to skip the hike (this story for another time, but basically yasir was pissed that i had the audacity to ask for a stop to try and avoid esa's meltdown from the previous day and he just did a stupid thing) and go back to our hotel

yasir's anger cooled when we got near banff avenue and so we went back to the base of bow falls and took the hoodoo float tour (which was about an hour long)

after the float tour we went back to the inn and esa played around for a bit (did his puzzles) and then we went to grab dinner and SAW AN ELK right outside our hotel!

got dinner and then came back to the inn to go to bed

this was our last day in banff so we woke up, got dressed, had breakfast at the inn and checked out

then we drove along the columbia icefields parkway and made stops at bow lake and peyto lake (fucking GORGEOUS lake - hands down my absolute favourite but dang the walk is so steep and uphill!)

then we went to do our glacier adventure at athabasca and we took this BIG truck with MASSIVE wheels up a glacier and had some pure glacier water (that esa also contaminated lol) and walked on an 18,000 year old glacier

after that we went to the skywalk - which (fun fact) SWAYS with the winds and people's weight on it! but it was so super cool - it was like a glass floor above the mountains

then the shuttle took us back to the columbia icefield adventure centre and on the way we spotted a BEAR CUB just running along

after we got to the columbia icefield adventure centre, we had dinner and then and went on our way to jasper

right in the middle, we stopped at sunwapta resort because esa needed to go to the bathroom and after he went he decided he was hungry so we stopped to eat yet again - spoiler: esa still ate nothing (smh)

finally we made it to jasper and checked into our next hotel, whistler's inn; basically went straight to bed because it was already super dark by then!

this was a really super tragic day in my life; we got up and all started getting ready....and then i received perhaps the worst call i've ever received from my aunt in pakistan; the call was to tell me that one of my cousin's had passed away.

i spent the next couple of hours just sort of sitting there crying, alerting my family, trying to figure out what to do...i was stunned

esa of course saw me and he was SO PROTECTIVE of me! he pushed yasir out of the way and told him "leave mama alone"; yasir had made a coffee for himself so esa took the coffee and told yasir "give mama coffee" and when yasir tried to tell him that i didn't want coffee and it was for him, he tried to forecefully take the glass and give it to me....esa literally wiped my tears and told me "why you crying mama? don't cry".

in that moment i realized how incredibly emotionally sensitive and intelligent my kid is. i hope to GOD i never break or ruin that in him.

anyway, we finally managed to get our shit together and checked out of the hotel and went for breakfast

then after breakfast we decided to take esa to a local park because he'd been wanting to go to a playground for so long

we stayed there for a bit less than an hour and it was back in the car to go to maligne lake

we drove to pyramid lake and on the way stopped at patricia lake (pyramid lake is called as such because it's right at the foot of pyramid mountain) and on the way out from these lakes we spotted two DEER (one adult and one baby from the looks of it)

then we drove to maligne lake and on the way stopped at medicine lake and maligne canyon

maligne canyon was super cool but on the walk there i sort of twisted my foot

after the canyon we headed to maligne lake and decided we'd have dinner on the lake at the view restaurant....when we were done dinner i realized that slowly but surely the pain in my foot from twisting it had increased and now i was barely able to walk!

on the way back to the car, we spotted yet another DEER at maligne lake

then as we were driving back to jasper (on our way back to calgary) we spotted a BLACK BEAR

on the way out of jasper we stopped and yasir bought and rubbed some voltaren on my injury

then we embarked on our journey back to calgary - stopping along the way to pee but not much else - the drive and views along the columbia icefields parkways really are WORTH every penny you spend to get there (and rest assured - you spend a g-dang PRETTY PENNY to get there!)

when we got to calgary we checked in to the hotel and went straight to bed

the next morning in calgary we had breakfast and checked out of the hotel

then we decided to drive around downtown calgary and grab some lunch and then we went back to the airport, dropped off the car, and took the flight back to toronto

in toronto, my parents picked us up and we went back to their place

and there is the end of our trip to alberta!

i already have a bucket list of items i wasn't able to get to this time around and here they are for next time:

-lake louise

-moraine lake

-hiking the johnston canyon

-emerald lake

-cave and basin

-whyte's museum

-tea at fairmont lake louise

-grassi lake hike

-vermilion lakes

-maligne lake cruise to spirit island

and that's all folks! despite the hiccups here and there - it was an incredible trip and....mountains might be my new favourite scenery!

Money and power talks —-and Danielle Smith who we thought was above this type of politics has succumbed. This is the real time for her to show her bona fides —-PRINCIPLES —-in an election —to persuade the people that a return to the division of powers in the constitution was necessary. Abiding by the Constitution. One wonders whether she consulted with Saskatchewan’s Premier on all this. But it seems this strong Provincial Rights stand was only to appease the more hard core conservatives in the party for leaderships purposes—now with that achieved ???? Now , Alberta has lost the credibility in defending and advancing legitimate Provincial rights and jurisdiction under the Constitution . By this move , now fully declared , the Federal Government of whatever political persuasion ( because it really makes no difference) knows that the Alberta Conservative Provincial Leadership were really not serious about all that provincial rights bluster—it was just a mechanism to achieve the leadership of the Party——and provides the Judiciary in future in difficult federal provincial decisions of jurisdiction the flexibility to side with the Federal Government . AAR - VII - Leaky Faucet

The children run around the area, mostly just getting rid of nervous energy. California mans the radio and Ohio helps set up the generator outside and against an outside wall. California was flipping through radio channels, trying to find anything interesting.

Russia practices walking along the wall, leaning against it.

'I have to do this.'

'I have to get my autonomy back.'

"Hey four-eyes, catch!" Alabama shouts from the floor above.

"ALABAMA! MISSISSIPPI! DO NOT THROW ROCKS AT YOUR SIBLINGS!" America shouts.

A rock clatters on the metal grate. Thumping steps and running rings out above his head on the metal grates. He looks up and smiles at the mischief.

'It reminds me of home.'

Russia finishes circling the building, noting some of the doors along the walls. He makes it over to America, who is sitting in a blanket nest the states had constructed. He blunders forward, his legs sore. He stumbles and falls down into the middle. America chuckles and helps him sit up before pulling him into his lap. Russia stiffened a little before relaxing. He smiles. America kisses the back of his neck just below his hairline.

Russia leans against America and closes his eyes. He listens to the chaos around him. It sounds like the kids were finally able to relax a little. They were safe here, at least for now.

'I'm not used to being held.'

'I like it.'

"Warm," Russia says quietly.

America giggles.

"You like this?"

"...yes"

America tightens his arms a little before letting go.

"I'll have to enjoy your company later, okay?" America asks, "I have to go and make sure my kids know I love them."

Russia nods and moves out of the way. Once America gets up, Russia snuggles into the warm spot of the blankets. He watches America walk around as best as he could, and offer warmth to the states. The states mob him with hugs and smiles. America grins and makes sure to give them each hug and tell them things that Russia couldn't make out.

The states look ecstatic, enthusiastically talking and grouping around him. America laughs and gathers up as many of the states as he can, and hugs them tightly. They talk happily, and the states look so excited, some of them bouncing in place and laughing. After the states calm down a little, America comes back, but he had a weird look on his face.

'He seems uncomfortable,' Russia notes.

Russia gets up and lets America back into his spot. America settles back with a wince.

Russia sits up with concern.

"Okay?" Russia asks urgently.

"Yeah, I'm okay," America mumbles.

Russia is not convinced.

"Let.....me.....seeee......back," Russia says. The last word sounds garbled, but America turns around anyway.

Russia carefully pulled his shirt up to look at his injury. The area looks angry and red, and a little blood drips out from the now red-stained dressings. He gently presses the bloody bandages.

"How.....long?" Russia asks, swallowing the lump in his throat.

"It wasn't too bad. I just...the states may have been a little rough," America says with a pained laugh, "don't tell 'em, okay? I don't want them to be upset."

'These need to be changed.'

"Stay," Russia says.

"So demanding," America says with a laugh, but he doesn't disagree.

Russia stands on sore legs and walks over to grab one of the water bottles out of the pile of things brought into the building and the first aid kit. He focuses on making sure he doesn't drop anything as he waddles back over to the blanket nest.

He nudges America and America stand to follow him outside. They stand outside the doorway and Russia rinses off the blood and carefully rewraps the wound. As soon as he finishes, Russia snakes his arms underneath America's and hugs him from behind.

After a moment, he lets go and takes America's hand, and leads him back to the nest. The states walk around them and questioning them.

"Is Dad okay?"

"What happened?"

"What were you doing?"

"Dad?"

"I'm okay! I'm okay, don't worry about it, okay?" America says, waving off their concern.

The states back off a little but still hover around for a few minutes until they're sure America is okay. Texas is the last one to go, with one last concerned look, he walks off to help supervise the midwest.

Then, Russia could've sworn he heard something in the distance.

It doesn't sound like a car.

"What?" Russia asks. America turns to him with a confused look.

"Russ, what are you talking about?"

Russia points outside the door.

"Som....some...tin..." Russia tries before he growls in frustration.

America gives him a look of pity, and this just makes Russia more frustrated.

"What...out," Russia says, an angry tone in his voice.

"What? Did you hear something?"

Russia nods and points out the door.

"What was it?" America asks.

Russia gives him an annoyed look, and America looks away.

"Oh," America mutters, looking a little embarrassed.

Then, the noise happens again.

'It sounds like loud...stomping? Running?'

Russia couldn't place it, but it's deep, rattling.

"Dat," Russia says. He doesn't like how it sounds, but he decides it's easier that way.

"That's not good," America mutters. Russia nods before turning around to grab a weapon. Canada grabs his arm.

"You need to rest," Canada says.

Russia gives him a confused look.

"Look at your legs, they're shaking," Canada says.

'Oh.'

Canada pulls him away, and Philippines pulls America over behind them. Canada sits him down on the steps, and America is sat down next to him.

'I can't just sit here.'

Massachusetts begins casting wards with Arizona doing prayers next to him. Dixie stands with the states, but something doesn't look right.

Dixie sways.

"..Meri?" Russia says, poking America's arm.

"What's up Russ?"

Russia points to Dixie. America looks up and stands as soon as he sees it. Russia stands up to follow, and he stumbles after America.

"Dix?" America says.

"Huh? Oh, hey Amy," Dixie says; his voice sounds soft.

"Dixie, are you okay?"

"Wha- yeah. I'm fine. Y'all need to go sit down."

"You need to come with us," America insists.

Before Dixie can retort, his eyes roll back and he crumbles to the ground. Russia steps forward and catches Dixie by his arms, but his weight nearly topples Russia over.

"WOAH! Are you guys okay?" Canada exclaims, rushing over to take Dixie, "what happened?"

"I think Dixie just pushed himself too hard," America says, "here, put him in the blankets, and I'll watch over him."

Canad looks between America and Russia before nodding. With a little struggling, Dixie is snug against the edge of the nest, asleep. America sits nearby, looking on with worry in his eyes. Russia reaches out and gently rubs small circles on America's back.

"Do you guys see anything?" America asks, his voice strained.

"No. Not yet," Finland replies, "but the noise is getting closer."

They sit in silence, waiting. Massachusetts casts a green shield around the building. A static-y feeling fills the air. States and provinces alike stand around the door, armed and ready.

Even still, The sounds stop once the ward is put up. They pause, listening.

"Did it work?" America asks.

"Yeah, I think so. Whatever was approaching us is backing off," Massachusetts says with a proud smile.

America grins brightly.

"Awesome kiddo! That's perfect! Thank you," America gushes, and Massachusetts turns a little red.

"It's not that big a deal," Massachusetts insists, rubbing the back of his neck and looking away.

America laughs, gets up, and hugs Massachusetts before returning to Russia's side.

"We're going to need more supplies, especially with winter coming," New York says, getting the attention of everyone else in the building.

"Well, what do you say we do?" Utah asks.

"I need to know everything we need, and then some of us may have to go out to get it."

"Now?! What if that thing is still close?" America interjects.

"I didn't say we'd have to go now, I'd just like to know for when we do have to leave."

America sighs before pulling Russia back into his lap. Russia leans back, relaxing his aching muscles.

'It's going to take a long time to be better. But I can walk now,' Russia thinks with pride.

"I hope I'm doing this right," America mumbles into Russia's neck.

'What are you talking about?'

Russia turns his head slightly and cups the side of America's face with his hand. He gives America a confused look and America chuckles, looking away with an unstable smile.

"You don't want to hear me ramble, Russ. I know you don't," America says softly with a sigh.

"..wrong....tell," Russia says, his voice hoarse, and though he wouldn't admit it, all this talking is giving him a sore throat.

America buries his face into Russia's shoulder and shakes his head.

'Tell me. Please. I want to help.'

"Tell," Russia says, but he feels his voice begin to give out from use.

America chuckles sadly.

"I'll ruin this too," America mutters. Russia shakes his head.

"You really wanna know what's going on in my head, huh?"

Russia nods. America sighs shakily.

"I just feel like I'm not doing enough," America admits with bated breath, "I need to do more, so much more, but I'm so tired. I don't know what else to do and... I mean, just look at Dixie. I'm the reason he's like that right now. He probably hasn't gotten a break since this started."

'You're still recovering from a stab wound!'

"And my own kids are having to protect me. It should be me protecting them! I don't need anyone defending me."

'That won't stop me.'

"And I feel like I can't even parent correctly," America mutters, his voice catching on his words, "I promised I wouldn't leave them behind. I promised myself I wouldn't ever make them feel like they weren't loved. Now look at them, most of them doubt that I even care."

'That's not true.'

"My country is falling apart, and I feel like that's just another thing I should be apologizing for."

'That's not your fault.'

"I'm sorry for clinging to you like this."

'I don't mind,' he thinks, tightening his hold around America's arms.

"I just don't wanna lose you," America mumbles, tightening his hold.

'You won't.'

"I'm so scared. Russ, I'm afraid I'm going to be stuck and watch one of the kids get hurt. H***, I already have. What kind of f***ing parent does that?" America whispers, his chest shaking. Russia pulls away to turn around, and America pulls away like he's on fire.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything-" America stammers out with a hiccup, panic filling his tone.

Russia quiets him by gently grasping his face. He stares into America's eyes, hoping to convey how much he cares without words. America makes a strange gasping sound before he just starts crying. America is curled up around himself, his arms and knees close to his chest, and he doesn't seem to know what to do with himself. The weeping and sobs grow in intensity and he sits there, his whole body shaking violently.

Russia pulls him in, trying to hold him together.

'It's okay. They know you care,' he wants to say, 'we're here, I'm here.'

America buries his face into Russia's chest and clings tightly to him, as if he let go, Russia would just disappear. Then a brightly colored flash catches Russia's attention.

He looks up and sees the states standing around, much closer than they had been. Most of them look worried, and a few looked panicked. They slowly walk closer, concern soaking their features. Philippines leads the group.

"Papa?" he asks, reaching out hesitantly. Then he looks up to Russia.

"What's wrong?"

"Stress..... guilt," Russia says, unsure if he could explain more.

Philippines nods with a sad look and takes a seat nearby, and the states follow his lead. They don't suffocate him, which Russia appreciates. They form a circle around them, and Russia can feel concern rolling off of them in waves.

'They don't want to leave their father alone like this,' Russia reasons.

Russia holds him until his breathing finally calms down. Looking down, Russia realizes that he had cried himself to sleep.

'He looks exhausted. I don't think Dixie is the only one pushing themselves too far.'
