#ok. might be a very unpopular opinion. but i don't mind if they become a canon as long as it happened after pimfah graduated.

Dangerous Romance (2023) Episode 6
How are you holding up? Are you feeling any better? I am. I can move my leg perfectly now. I'm not asking about your leg. I'm asking about your heart. Is it feeling better? Look at your puffy eyes. You've been crying, haven't you? Are you Detective Conan or something? You're really good at noticing. Well, I was once a teenager. I’ve been through it all. I don’t know what’s troubling your heart. But… You’ve got my support here.

unpopular opinion maybe (?) but i don't think most people actually hated the ending of got because it was badly done or badly written. the show had been sloppy for years before the finale and most of us were still enjoying it, so i don't think it was really about that. i think we all tell ourselves we hated it because of that, but most of us probably wouldn't have minded it if only we'd gotten our preferred ending. d*ny fans would have been over the moon if they'd gotten an ending with her on the iron throne and jon as her devoted consort, regardless of how badly written, directed, and acted it was. sansa fans would have been equally over the moon if we'd not only gotten qitn but also sansa in a loving relationship with our preferred suitor, whomever that might be, quality of the writing be damned. arya fans would have been beside themselves with joy if they'd gotten their "queen arya with gendry as her lover" preferred ending, no matter how stupidly it was done. and so on and so forth, for fans of every character. the terrible writing certainly didn't help matters, but in my opinion the show's real failure was that it managed to leave literally EVERYONE unhappy and unsatisfied, and feeling that their fave had been cheated in some way.
Well, it’s kinda true for me! I was mocking D&D’s horrible choices and criticizing the show all season eight as I watched it, but if I had gotten Jonsa in the finale I would have definitely posted a “I have never said anything bad about D&D in my life” joke. 😂
This is why, even though I will never watch it again and I won’t watch the spin-offs, I’m not gonna pretend I stopped liking the show back in s5. There was a lot of “y’all thought the ending would be good? The show’s sucked since s4” stuff going around when we were all disappointed with the finale, but middles are hard! Lots of stories struggle there, and I was still caught up in what was happening and wondering where it would end until s7 just…made no sense to me. I was a show fan first so I wasn’t upset about their deviations from the books because I didn’t know about them at the time. I was still enjoying the show through s6. Honestly, s6 was a highpoint for me. Sansa and Jon reuniting, Sansa using LF, reclaiming Winterfell, Sansa finally being safe and happy, Jon becoming king….I understand hating the Ramsay plotline, being upset about Dorne etc, but as a Stark fan, a Sansa and a Jon fan, season six was very rewarding.
It wasn’t until after s7 aired that I started listening to Martin interviews/read the books, and at that point I learned that a) Martin has known the ending for the main characters for years, b) he told D&D, c) he expected the endings would be similar. So, I assumed that D&D had a plan and were working towards his ending and weren’t gonna just… plop his ending on whatever the hell it was they were doing without making it make sense. Silly me 😂
Thinking back though, I didn’t actually need Jonsa to be ok with the ending. The main complaint for most of us is how they wrote Jon. If they confirmed that Jon bent the knee because he had to and was afraid of Dany/trying to manage her the whole time, that he wasn’t disloyal to the North/his family and lying to cover his own ass, I could have eventually reconciled myself to the ending because there are a lot of ideas it’s touching on. I think that’s why I didn’t just drop the show/fandom completely after the show ended because there are so many things that I think one good kick would have allowed the whole thing to shift and settle into stuff from earlier seasons and things from the books and would have, as much as we wouldn’t want it to, worked. Instead it felt like D&D were waging a war of retribution on the fans and just wanted to destroy all the relationships they could. They really should have let Bryan Cogman have more sway in the final season or rewrite their finale script or something. You could feel the love in his episode, D&D’s felt intentionally cruel.
I agree with you though that no vocal part of the fandom (Jon fans, Dany fans, Arya fans…) getting what they wanted, none of the big ships (Jonerys, Jonsa, Gendrya, Braime…) getting a good ending, that’s why the show was so decried by fans and so hated. There was nothing truly redeeming in the ending on an emotional level/for the characters and their relationships, so even for someone like me, a Sansa fan, a character who got the best ending and “won” in a way none of the other characters did, it felt very empty. But, I have to say, I’ve seen a number of fans who are happy with the ending. Some people really liked the fact that the ending was so different from traditional fantasy. They appreciated Jon going beyond the Wall because they didn’t want him or Dany to rule. And with the success of HOTD and fans returning to GOT (indicated by the rewatch numbers on HBO Max), maybe there are a lot more of those fans than I realized.

Hi flooding your inbox please excuse me.. for the ask game! If you want an OC, then Fross.. if not, then how about Aloy?? ◕_◕
No need to apologize!! :D I reblogged those precisely because I wanted some asks to distract myself with! ! I appreciate it! ^^
I'll go ahead and do both! :D
Fross:
How I feel about this character: pkfpgkpfkpfkgppfgkppk my poor little meow meow 🥺❤️😭
All the people I ship romantically with this character:
Kai
[redacted] (<- some OCs might still be in development!)
Verbena (Just as a crack ship I SWEAR)
In the swap AU I also imagine him having a crush on Varl but I feel like that's one-sided so it doesn't count as a ship? But I still think it's cute.
My non-romantic OTP for this character:
I think the relationship between Tess and Fross is very bittersweet... Once again I have a soft spot for single parents in STEM who are busy but trying their best ;-;
There's also Tilda. They have a lot in common, but they butt heads in the right ways, and it makes their potential dynamic interesting to me, haha ^^ But of course I do still want Fross to see their similarities and reach out :')
But, as far as Zeniths go (ha!), the one I want him to interact with the most is Stanley Chen. Not to be dramatic, but I have a feeling he could've become the closest thing to a father figure Fross ever had... if Fross had opened up a bit, put his cynicism aside for a while, and were willing to listen :') But if anyone can get him to do that, I'd bet it's Stanley Chen! (not even Kai!)
And! Just one more! But I insist he'd be great with Sylens. I want to force them into a situation together so bad. (This is funnier if you make both of them Kai's exes)
My unpopular opinion about this character:
Poor little meow meow <3 Yes, he was an accomplice, and, yes, he was a perpetrator, but he was also a victim both of his circumstances and the other Zeniths ok :')
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:
Oh heheheheh >:) I can't wait to know more about Nemesis solely for OC purposes. Canonically, Nemesis would have a digital copy of all the Zeniths' minds, right? The evil AI would have a digital copy of Fross's mind. The evil AI- would have a digital copy of Fross's mind- even after he's dead- >:)))
I'm just saying, if the evil AI wanted to emotionally shatter Artekai... 😳
I highly doubt that kind of scenario will actually make sense in canon, but, until Horizon 3 comes out, I guess we can dream.
my OTP: Frosskai <3
my cross over ship:
Platonically, I kinda wanna see him interact with Ben Gross from Never Have I Ever... He's kinda like how I imagine pre-apocalypse Fross to have been (not A LOT, but just enough for me to make the comparison ^^) and both of them could use some friends their age. But I don't think it'd take off, to be honest, so. Maybe in a better timeline.
I also started writing a little thing where him and Takuto get to interact... He doesn't think much of Takuto either, but I still love to see it ^^
a headcanon fact: hmmmmmm I dunno what to say.... he would never get on a car with a human driver. He would rather just not go anywhere :/
Aloy:
How I feel about this character: I love her!! I love how determined and headstrong and brave and caring and outspoken she is! I don't necessarily love how HFW portrayed her tendency to push people away but I do enjoy it as a character trait also ^^
All the people I ship romantically with this character: After finishing HZD, I was mostly feeling Aloy/Varga, but the more time passes, the more I lean towards headcanoning her as aroace and the less I feel like shipping her romantically. But I do enjoy seeing the pretty ship art ^^
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Artekai... 👉👈
My unpopular opinion about this character: I dunno if it's an unpopular opinion, but I think canon has a bit of a case of protagonist-centered morality... And I think that's unfair to Aloy as a character too.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Well. I mentioned in another ask game that I would've liked if canon took a bit more time to develop her arc. But also! Refer to the previous answer. She should be allowed to be wrong and other characters should be allowed to stay pissed at her for it. She can learn from her mistakes, and that would be good.
my OTP: Refer to previous answers, haha.
my cross over ship: Hmmmm... I guess I'm a bit curious to see her with Samus, haha. I think they could be a power team.
a headcanon fact: I can't think of one :') No thoughts head empty.

I don't think I've seen this anywhere (and if you know of any fics that do have this concept, please link!), but what if the events of MDZS (all media) was actually based on history within a modern AU of MDZS?
So like, as an example, you have people speculating whether or not Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji were lovers or not in the same way people do with some real historical figures today, some theories that say Nie Huaisang orchestrated everything that go mostly ignored by everyone except those in the #NieHuaisangDidIt community because it's Nie Huaisang, who is largely remembered as a relatively harmless sect leader, etc... Some even still think the Yiling Patriarch was pure evil, though the novel, shows, and audio drama have since made this an unpopular opinion to have.
And then there's Wei Wuxian, be it through reincarnation with regained memories or immortality, listening to all of this in the background.
“I'm just saying that you wrote your thesis on him, so of course you're biased,” Jin Guangyao said. “There's no way Nie Huaisang organised all this. Everyone in that period agrees that he was so stupid he could barely do basic additions!”
“I have a phd and I can't count either,” Nie Huaisang countered. “Listen, I tell you, the proof is all there if you just look.”
Of course, they weren’t called Nie Huaisang and Jin Guangyao, not in this life, but Wei Wuxian wasn't good with names. In fact, after centuries of being alive, he was worse with names than he'd ever been. Thankfully, this crowd Lan Wangji and him had become friends with didn't mind at all the nicknames he'd picked for them.
“And I can prove that Jin Guangyao didn't even die, and made a name for himself in Japan,” Jin Guangyao retorted. “There's this Han man who suddenly appears out of nowhere in the Japanese court, claiming to know great magic, and...”
“Yes, I've seen the movie too,” Nie Huaisang yawned, taking another sip of his bubble tea.
Jin Guangyao went red and purple, while Wei Wuxian tried to hide a snicker. If there was one sure way to piss of Jin Guangyao, it was by mentioning that recent movie that had come out, very loosely inspired by a series of blog articles he'd written years ago when he was still a student. The inspiration was loose enough that he hadn't been involved in the process at all, because the scenarist had pretended they just happened to have come to the same conclusion.
It wasn't a bad movie, Wei Wuxian thought. It wasn't a goodone either, but he quite liked the actor who played Lan Wangji in it (Wei Wuxian himself wasn't part of the plot, sadly, on account of being officially dead by then), and the fight scenes were pretty fun. Besides, he felt like Jin Guangyao should have liked it even better than he did.
The actor playing him was the tallest member of the cast after all.
“I hope you choke on your tea,” Jin Guangyao muttered, to which Nie Huaisang answered with a bright grin.
It was about to devolve into a fight (an animated academic discussion, Jin Guangyao would have called it) when Lan Xichen entered the boba place, radiant as always. She ordered her own tea (plain black tea but with extra sugar and the sweetest fillings available, as usual) and sat with them, apparently oblivious to the adoration with which Jin Guangyao and Nie Huaisang gazed upon her.
Wei Wuxian had a bet going on with Jiang Cheng about which man would ask her out first in this life. He also had a bet going on with Jin Ling regarding whether anyone would dare ask her out at all. Wei Wuxian would have tried to help the matter, but Lan Wangji wouldn't allow it, worried for his sibling. A needless worry, Wei Wuxian thought. Lan Xichen was doing well for herself in this life, and so were the other two. Going into academia had been a great way for them to channel their lingering resentment. Their fight had almost never gotten physical in this life.
“I'm sorry for being late, jiejie wanted me to help her order something from overseas,” Lan Xichen apologised, smiling warmly. “I hope I didn't interrupt anything important? You seemed to be chatting, no?”
“We were talking about Guangyao's movie,” Nie Huaisang cheerfully answered.
Jin Guangyao looked about ready to murder him, but Lan Xichen just laughed in that sweet, careless way of hers and in a second both men had forgotten their previous argument.
“Oh, that reminds me, I brought something that might make you laugh,” she said, digging into her handbag. “It's in your field of study... in a manner of speaking.”
She put a book on the table. On the cover were two handsome young men, one dressed in black and carrying a flute, the other in white holding a bright sword. Above them, bold characters professed that this book was called “The Founder of Demonic Cultivation”.
Wei Wuxian's drink went the wrong way, and he nearly died coughing on a tapioca pearl. When everyone was sure that he wouldn't choke so stupidly, they all turned their attention back to the book.
“What's that?” Jin Guangyao asked.
“It's a danmei novel,” Lan Xichen explained, a spot of red on her cheeks. “Jiejie lent it to me the other day, and as soon as I started reading I realised the subject was... familiar. It's about Wei Wuxian. The real one I mean,” she added with a smile to Wei Wuxian who pretended to be fascinated by his bubble tea. “It's, ah... very creative. It takes liberties with some of the events, but, ah, it's very well written.”
“Wonderful, more fiction,” Jin Guangyao muttered.
Meanwhile, Nie Huaisang eagerly grabbed the book and started browsing it with hungry eyes. He had theories about that, too. Mostly, about the exact nature of Wei Wuxian's relationship with Jiang Cheng, which he had once explained to Wei Wuxian with far more details than the immortal would ever have cared to hear... and he hoped Jiang Cheng himself would never hear about it.
In fairness to Nie Huaisang though, his arguments had been very convincing, and Wei Wuxian would have had doubts, if he hadn't been married to Lan Wangji for over a thousand years.
“Oh, Lan Wangji,” Nie Huaisang grumbled, closing the book and sliding it back toward Lan Xichen. “I suppose I see the appeal, but there's really no evidence whatsoever in their case, you know?”
“We know,” Lan Xichen said with an indulgent smile.
“Now, Jiang Wanyin and him, on the other hand...”
“You people are obsessed with romance!” Jin Guangyao complained. “His relationship to Jiang Wanyin was platonic!”
Wei Wuxian distractedly nodded. That was indeed true.
“And so was his relationship to Lan Wangji,” Jin Guangyao added with a disgusted glare at the book.
Wei Wuxian grimaced. That was very much not true.
“From the letters I've read, I think in today's world, the Yiling Patriarch would probably be asexual,” Jin Guangyao argued. “Not that I particularly approve of using modern terminology to describe the sexuality of long dead people, but if you consider everything we know about him, then... are you ok?”
“Peachy,” Wei Wuxian coughed, trying not to burst out laughing. Jin Guangyao's pride was still a delicate thing in this life. “Hey, Xichen-jie, mind if I borrow that book until we meet again? I think Lan Zhan would love it.”
“Sure, I don't see why not.”
Wei Wuxian grinned, and pocketed the book.
Lan Wangji and him were going to have a good laugh that night, as they always did whenever someone wrote a new story about them.

Dear Hawk, you said several times in your posts you believe that Sasuke has a m@sochistic streak. Do you think Itachi could have "a thing for pain" as well?
Tumblr media
No I don't think so. This is an unpopular opinion for many so if you are into passive/victim Itachi you might not want to read this, and if you do keep in mind that it’s my opinion on my blog for which I demand respect. Anyway.
It's a fan thing to imagine that he has, and it's ok to have headcanons but imo in canon he never showed such tendency.
In Sasuke I see it in the way he is reckless when it comes to risking his own life, it's a mix of being goal oriented and having a low self esteem, so he doesn't care if he gets hurt, offended, humiliated, used, as long as he reaches his goal (remember how he didn't mind Tobirama's words or becoming Orochimaru's vessel).
In Itachi I don’t see anything similar. Especially when it comes to physical attacks, he usually stays away from them, being a genjutsun user firstly, and only occasionally he engages in physical and close range combat, and when he does it’s for a short time. He might do it to save energy, but also because it’s not his thing. Only with Sasuke he engages in a closer combat and gets more physical but it’s an aggressive way (ofc, since they’re fighting) and he shows superiority, usually, getting to hit and hurt Sasuke much more than getting hit and hurt in return.
So when I think about him actually I can see the reverse, he might have a thing for inflicting pain, since his attacks are kinda sadistic, both physically and psychologically, think about the way he beat Sasuke very closely and very brutally every time, and think about Mangekyou and how he used it on both Kakashi and Sasuke, to reproduce a longlasting pain, and a painful moment over and over.
I hope this answers your question in a satisfying way Anon.

Mary and/or Thomas for the character asks!
ooooh thank you!!! i was hoping someone would do these two since they're very Controversial(tm) characters, i think
Mary:
do I like them: yes!!! she's a tough character to like sometimes because she can be so stubborn and coldhearted but she is a girlboss and i do just want her to be happy :( (not with henry talbot tho. anyone but henry.)
5 good qualities: oof but the way i can only think of like two LOL, anyway her loyalty (ill never be over how she cared for matthew when he was paralyzed), her wit, her resilience, her surprisingly open mind, and her incredible fashion sense
3 bad qualities: oooof. her spitefulness, her vanity, and her tendency to lash out at others to protect herself
favourite episode/etc: imagine picking just one... uhhh ok 2x05 when she was caring for matthew :)
otp: the only correct answer is mary/matthew obviously (but for her new suitors i'd say charles blake bc he was the only one who met my personal expectations of a suitor for her)
brotp: oooh tough question but i have to go with mary and anna because they are just so <3<3<3
ot3: honestly? mary/matthew/tom. if matthew had lived they would totally be a threesome. however i would also like to direct your attention to this post where i expound on the delights of a mary/matthew/charles blake ot3 :)
notp: i can't wait for mary to divorce henry in the next movie <3
best quote: there are so many quotes but to me the most memorable is "my life makes me angry. not you." knowing her history and contemporary role in society, that quote really hit different
headcanon: the little toy dog she gave to matthew during the war becomes a family treasure of sorts in the future. even though it was always hers and not matthew's it takes on great significance as a concrete reminder of their love for one another even decades after his death
Thomas:
do I like them: not as much as other people on this site do tbh. unpopular opinion but being a well-written, multifaceted character is not the same as being a nice or altogether likable character. i suppose you could say i have very conflicting feelings about him
5 good qualities: mmmm loves kids, cunning (in a good way), ambitious. i can't think of any more sorry, the characters on this show have so many layers lol
3 bad qualities: can be selfish, dishonest, and amoral (i guess is the word?)
favourite episode/etc: 3x10 i think?? its the one where he was at the county fair and saves jimmy
otp: hmmm i haven't watched the movie yet but ik he gets with another guy named richard ellis so him! but if his relationship with jimmy hadn't gone south i would've been invested in that
brotp: he and o'brien are mlm wlw hostility goals
ot3: i don't really have one i guess? him with jimmy and richard i suppose
notp: i've seen a frankly disturbing amount of thomas/matthew in the ao3 tag for downton and i just. Why. No.
best quote: "in my life, i tell you, not many have been kind to me. she was one of the few"
headcanon: hmmmm this might already be construed as canon-ish but he actually does really enjoy dancing. you wouldn't think it by looking at him but he knows a lot of dance numbers and he often practices in the privacy of his room so he can at least pretend at having a partner who returns his affections

Hey this is the same anon who asked the question about Taewoong getting hit at the busking, and yes I wanted to know your opinion on it if you don't mind :3
Of course I don’t mind, I just really wasn’t sure whether you wanted to hear my opinion or a rendition of what exactly happened, sorry. ^^’
There are two main things that I’d like to mention.
1. Let’s start with what I’ve already talked about a little in the previous ask. You probably know that because of the strong Chinese influence (and the belief that basically everything Chinese is the highest form of perfection) up until the 18th century confucianism had HUGE power over all aspects of life in Korea. Since then it’s become less prominent and a lot of other things - science, globalization, various philosophies and religions etc - have found their way into Korean customs but confucianism is just so deeply rooted in Korean society that people still act on it subconsciously. One of the most basic rule of confucianism is: respect your elders. Which sounds nice. Really. Carrying heavy bags or giving up seats for them is common everywhere. But that’s not what Koreans mean by respecting your elders. Sure you have to do those, plus you’re also expected to use a different level of speech, receive things with two hands and bow deeper to them. Ok, fine, sure. Oh, and you also can’t smoke or drink in front of them or make direct eye contact during conversations or basically do anything they disapprove of in their presence. You especially can’t complain or start an argument with them. That’s just unheard of. In the Far East you are taught to be servile, while in the West you are taught to fight for your justice (unfortunately people often take it as you have to fight whether or not you’re right and completely disrespect others while doing so so no, it’s not an ultimately better system if you wanted to take that away from this). In Korea if you have colliding opinions with an elder, they’re automatically right and you’re wrong. End of story. People in higher social status just do not lose to those in lower ones. And the real problem with this system is that elders often abuse their authority. They know that they can practically get away with anything. Some young boys in their twenties are doing something unusual near my shop? There is a group of girls standing around them and they look like they’re about to be really loud! What do I, the old shop owner lady do? I don’t exactly know what they are doing but it’s just not appealing to me so because I’m older, I’m perfectly entitled to stop them - however I want. Pushing one of them would definitely deliver the message! So she does. And everyone just stands there, not sure what to do, how to react. Someone eventually asks her to leave and they continue the event but the old lady gets away with it like nothing happened.
2. And that ties into the second thing I want to mention. This honestly didn’t occur to me till I read that ‘unpopular kpop opinions’ post. What if this happened to another, more popular group? The international fans would be indignant for sure but if I don’t count the online rage, they could actually do next to nothing for the member of said group. How about the Koreans present, you ask? Well, honestly? I don’t think things would be that different. Seriously, what would the fans/staff/members do? Gang up on the lady and idk push her back or what? Because I’m absolutely certain that they would never take legal actions against an old lady pushing some youngster on the street. Talk to her themselves and explain what and why they are doing and why she shouldn’t push them over? Sounds like the best solution but this kind of lecturing is just as unlikely in Korea as calling the police. So no, I don’t think it would’ve played out that differently even with a more popular group  - not to mention that big groups don’t really go busking on the streets to promote themselves.
Finally, let me just say: we don’t exactly know what happened and even though I’d like to believe that after the whole thing the old lady realised that she shouldn’t have done that and apologised, let’s be real, that never happened and I’m sure Taewoong has thought more about what he might have done wrong to deserve that than the lady has thought about apologizing.
So let me summarize this wall of text. My opinion? Elders should learn some manners to deserve the amount of respect they receive in Korea.
I haven’t talked about it with anyone yet so I’m very curious what you guys think. Anyone reading this (props to you, it’s more than 800 words oops), I’d love to read your opinion so tag me/send an ask/message me or idk what else please~
