okkk the daredevil panels. this is from that one arc where matt had to like.fight his seven deadly sins. probably a better way to describe it but thats essentially it. he meets logan in a bar:

already opens up strong. idk. want some of this? logans possessed by a demon, but matt doesnt really know which one. they start fighting.

and they keep fighting. they quite literally tear clothes off of one another, but whatevs.

and then the big reveal….

the “darlin” right before the big reveal? ehahahahaha. yup. matt says some religious stuff and then somehow gets logan into the water (how would he push him? im probably misremembering)

the way theyre sprawled out next to each other…. look ik its supposed to be some sort of play on the term bloodlust, and this is a bit out of context, but. well.

you could read into it. very easily, in fact. especially since this vers of matt is literally a priest.

Honestly, I'm really grateful that my brain isn't wired to jump from hyperfixation to hyperfixation. It has its own unique drawbacks, sure, but I've always found it really comforting that I know what to expect from myself.

I have to type this out before I'll forget about it soon.

Today I dreamed of a Mononoke episode with Detective Conan crossover. One of the Detective allies doing investigation at his hometown, Idk what's the landmark but it's like at a popular shrine spot that secluded from cities. It's regarding a strange-looking sword that he found on the murder scene.

Conan is interested and they went to the detective's hometown, which the case still under investigation. The blood were visible and there's signs of struggle while body had been picked up and sent to morgue, there's no indication of any visible scene it was put in ambulance(I guess, the floor was outlined with white chalk) Detective showed Conan the only object they found. It was a strange-looking sword, in a muted blue color with a strange pommel that resembles Kon's with a slight tweak and two strand cat-fish like thing under its chin.

As Conan and the Detective investigate it with small banters and inner thoughts playing around, they were interrupted by Two MS coming from the same direction, which is off limits towards a nearby forest.

Conan tries to ask the two if they were the owner of the sword, Kon denies and corrects Conan that it belongs to one of their peers. Can't remember what the name said but I don't think it's the main 8 Trigrams....

Kon lifts out his own Taima sword, raises it to the two which made them surprised, the detective with Conan seems like knowing their profession of medicine selling and asks the legitimacy of it or there's something hidden underneath.

Ri slight chuckles look to the other way while Kon outright smirk delightfully.

He responds, "See for yourself,.." Before out of the bush came out many weird variations of the Taima swords, like they were waiting for the word on cue, scurry out and went pass the two vertically, like a flying fish.

The Detective and Conan outright jumped from the scene. After the swords nowhere to be seen (except the ones Detective still holds), Conan smiles and asks of the two about the info of the said wielder and the last time they seen him (remembering back, it seemed the wielder is dead and they're investigating the body)

MS(i think Ri) ask Conan if he's quite used to the gruesome murder, and Conan said yes. My vision hovers to the dirt road and avoids from looking up at something as my mind internally rewinding the sounds of that one episode of Detective Conan, the murder by the mask case (which kind of traumatised me back when I was a child) before looking back up to Conan and MSs.

They continue talking about something, but it becomes more muffled, and the vision fades. I opened my eyes and woke up from the dream.

I don't think I've ever taken in before how much Wicked Act I (and thus Wicked Part I) takes its structure from The Wizard of Oz. It opens with No One Mourns the Wicked, which is an obvious response to Ding Dong the Witch is Dead* (the first song once Dorothy gets to Oz, and only the second overall), and ends with our heroes arriving in the Emerald City (Merry Old Land of Oz/One Short Day). Our hero is then asked to perform a task so that the wizard will grant her heart's desire. Having completed this task, she then discovers that he is a fraud and that he cannot do what he's promised (nor could he have done the task he set her), so she has to make use of the power that was inside her all along to get where she needs to go.

*Bonus connection between these two songs is the little musical motif ("ding dong the witch is") that the movie version of No One Mourns the Wicked uses in its newly triumphant orchestration at the start (roughly 1:01 and 1:19 in the official soundtrack).
