INTRODUCING SEASONAL MUSE: OLD MAN WINTER

Jack from an AU I built in response to the Twinkpocalypse of 2013. Jackson here lived a normal human life with his wife Katherine before her passing. Their daughter, Emily, was the light of his life. An unfortunate incident on the ice led Jack to make the ultimate sacrifice. He found himself drifting away before a light erupted from him.

This Jack has his memories of being Nightlight. Jack died in his twenties and is an adult. He can, canonically, change his shape and be whatever he wants to be. His dedication as a Guardian is unwavering and he visits his late wife's grave every Christmas.

He tends to work in tandem with Sandy and has a cheeky rapport with Bunnymund.

National Beer Can Day

My favourite stout. A local craft beer called "old man winter". It's a very dark and heavy beer. 6.5% so also strong. It's made by Ribstone Brewery, they do very well in our area for sales and every year they make a can style for the military during Maple Resolve. Canada's largest military training event. Troops from over 30 countries come here to use our training grounds which is the largest in the world, every May. Our little 5600 ish population swells to about 25,000 on average. If you plan to get a hotel room within 300kms in any direction between mid April and mid June, you are out of luck. I work in one and I've called to towns just outside Edmonton and into Saskatchewan to find any room at all for travellers. It gets nuts. Back to the beer! It's dark. It's strong. It's chocolatey at room temperature. I put ice in everything. I let this one come to room temp. Now you can't leave it for long because it will go bad so only do this with intention to drink it.

#Yesterday #morning , we woke up to a couple feet of snow ❄️. I literally shoveled for hours in the front & in the back for my small dogs - the snow was up to their eyeballs & they just couldn't get through. I had to go find them & fish them out if the snow! Also, it's important to knock the snow & ice off your outdoor structures. I had to sweep the snow off the #hoophouse , shovel to get inside the #greenhouse & knock the snow off the roof from the inside. There is a lot of snow on the roof of our house, but not as much as the weather reports predicted. Still, was a lot of snow. #Niagara We haven't had nearly as much snow in years, and not even close to what we would get in our area when I was young. #GlobalWarming is real! And, it was a Southerly wind, not our typical prevailing winds. The #weather is wonky everywhere! My family & friends presently have snow in #Louisiana & #Texas ...and more than just the dusting they occasionally get. Well, my whole day, nearly, involved snow & ice removal. Too Early for Snow

Winter has arrived early in southwestern Ontario. Actually no. Snow has arrived. I still consider it to be Fall. The ground is covered with heavy dense snow, the air is super frigid, and my car doors keep freezing. But there's still leaves on the trees, some yellow, some red, some brown. All frozen. It's quite a sight, betwixt Fall and Winter.

The geese are certainly confused. And of course, no one is ready for snow. We’re all wearing fall coats and riding boots one day, then hats, scarves, gloves and parkas the next. And we’re all scrambling for our snow scrapers for our cars, while holding the rake with one hand and the shovel with the other. How’s Global Warming treating you?
