haven't sent an ask in a while, though as one of the blogs that infects my thoughts the most at inopportune times, as well as the man that is at times so reminiscent of oliver reeder, i was wondering what you thought about a thick of it fact about ollie i just learned. was rewatching and noticed for the first time in series 3 episode 5 when emma mentions taking back the wii fit from her flat, she also mentions taking his guitar. absolutely fascinated by the implication that ollie plays or at leats owns a guitar (or guitar hero, which is equally as fascinating). can't stop thinking about when he bought it and why, whether he knows how to play or thought it would make him cooler to know how to play, in the way he probably thinks he'd be cool and skilled and aloof in an indie sort of way. whether or not he brought it round to emma's flat because he's one of those boys that thinks just having/holding it will make women want to have sex with them. what colour it is if not just classic light wood brown, if he put stickers on it, if it's even tuned or he knows how to tune it. anyway, hope you're well xx

hello!! i’m always weirdly affirmed and flattered in equal measure when anyone says i remind them of oliver francis reeder…. as terrible as it is, maybe, haha. and yes, the guitar line!! it is very telling, but i’d never applied such excellent analysis and thought to it as you have. the image of him as a ‘anyway here’s wonderwall’ guy is so compelling. what’s the odds he tried to resolve one or two rows with emma with a half-hearted rendition of some awful love song? and if i may, i’d add that in that same episode, there’s actually a shot of him at emma’s with a guitar— and a wii remote— visible in the background. i’ve always assumed that guitar to be his. it looks like a pretty standard classic wood guitar to me, though i also think he’d be the kind of nerd to have put stickers on it. and i completely agree with your point that he’d think it made him look super indie and attractive, god help us all. i know he liked to think he was jarvis cocker. up at 2am in the flat of the worst spads in the world and one of their boyfriends is saying ‘anyway here’s fall out boy’s it’s not a side effect of the cocaine i am thinking it must be love’
