#on one hand it depends on how similar youtube's advertisting standards are to actual tv standards

Does anyone else remember the whole 'jake Paul exploits and brainwashes children to buy his merch and now the whole internet has to PAYYY' drama in like 2018 that caused coppa to be brought to the spotlight?
Shouldn't aphmau's content count as that?
Considering not only the recent 'Sephora and McDonald's' videos she also uses meemeows and her juice blox in a similar way via shorts. Advertising for kids has always been complex with various loopholes but the one main rule is that if you're making merch or toys you should explicitly make it clear what's advertisement vs the actual show. Think my little pony and their purchasable ponies, while the show does serve as marketing, twilight sparkle isn't outright saying in an episode 'Buy my treehouse kids!' Because that's what ads during commercials are for.
I'm not implying that she needs to make commercials for meemeows, but the live action segments they had during when angels fall would be better (and possibly less illegal and or liable) then what she's doing now.
