“Tokyo Rising” takes on synthwave, a genre that combines retro futurism with modern electronica. The  genre  largely  emulates  the  film  scores  of  classic  action  movies, and “Tokyo Rising” is no exception. Tension is created from the onset with a heavily distorted, rising bass line that gives way to entrancing synth melodies.
