Hello! I really love your Oshi No Ko x Reader fics! Especially ones with Aqua! Honestly I love the guy, but I can't deny that the man is a major red flag- And that got me thinking, what if:

Yandere!Aquamarine x Reader (who eerily looks like Ai Hoshino)? Plus, she doesn't act anything similar to Ai because all her life she was just compared to the late idol-?

Aqua thought it was strange, or a coincidence to be exact, maybe even a gift sent from above, gracing him with a second chance with his favorite idol.

But to say he was disappointed was an understatement. Your personality did not, in fact, match that of his late mother, but your looks did, so that was all he cared about.

If he couldn't have her, he would just make do. That was what he told himself over and over again countless times whenever he saw your face.

Sure, your star-like eyes and purple hair matched hers greatly, and he did try really hard to separate the both of you from each other.

He knew how much you hated it when he asked AI Hoshino-related questions that would unleash your short temper on him, causing him to groan in annoyance every time you yelled curses at his face.

Although Aqua hated your short temper and how your eyes dulled with the mention of the late idol, how they looked exactly like hers before she died, and how he despised that you were the exact opposite of the cheery, always happy, and pretty idol – the idol who knew how to act around people, but you didn't – he couldn't fathom why you were so upset. He had no idea.

All he knew was that he hated it so much, to the point where he wanted you. He wanted you, the AI Hoshino that he imagined would be you.

And even if he had to go through all that trouble, he'd try. He'd try his hardest to make you the closest thing he had to the idol.

"Ai wouldn't act like that," he blurted, staring at you blankly. It had been mere minutes before he said that that you two had been arguing.

Without even thinking, you raised your hand, slapping him across the face, leaving a red mark on his cheek.

"Just… just how many times do I have to explain to you that I'm not her? Whatever she meant to you, I'm not her. I'm my own person. Can't you comprehend that?" She questioned, staring at him, her hands forming into fists, waiting for a response from her boyfriend. But he just sighed as if this wasn't worth his time.

"Aqua, you know I thought you were different, that you wouldn't compare me to a dead woman! But that's all you do, and I hate it. Sometimes I wish I never met you," she broke the silence, tears in her eyes, frowning at his silence.

"Look, Ai—" he didn't get to continue his sentence when he realized his screw up.

"Ai? Ai? Are you being serious with me, Aqua?" she screamed at him through tears before walking away, upset and hurt.

Perhaps Aqua wasn't the perfect person for her.

The animation team has been wild with these artsyle changes recently and everytime it is still somehow a surprise

(Okay but the aqua and ruby drawing looks so cute. I KNOW its a serious scene but-)

Its not even the music... the sound design is so well done, maybe i didnt notice before since today i was wearing my headphones but the switch of atmosphere purely in the way the sound effects change and music change is so well done, its so disconected fron that calm lighting we are seeing, its so good in that way.

Akane's facial expressions from here to the end too are so well drawn. Her eyes...

The harsh RED lighting and more prominent blue man 0.0, both as the sunset but also something more.... i dont know the word for it

I will admit while watching this i had no idea what she had figured out since i tend to miss things like this, but i had it explained and WHOABOY

I dont get how akane even figured that out, but she always has been good at analysing people i guess. I myself completely missed everything that could have caused someone to figure it out

To be honest they didnt do a good job letting us understand, it felt like i was meant to be feeling a big revalation with her but just wasnt :/

Like if they framed this scene differently i would have been fine being left in the dark for now, but they made this scene so big and dramatic that they kinda have to let us understand what she is thinking other than some line about a "loophole"

Eagerly munching on your food, you sweat, face curling into sour expression.

'Why...'

Grumbling as you took another bite, your friend, Nika, smiles boredly as she glances at you. Then back at her phone, "so... You seem stressed."

'How...'

Irked at her tone, you pause mid-munch. Slowly turning to her, crumbs on your face, squinting.

"I'm gonna' guess it's because of that.. Guy." She stated, making a small gesture to the empty seat near you two.

"...." Mouth still full of nutrition, your face scrunches up more. Nodding quickly as you swallow down the nourishment.

"Figures." She sighs. "He has an attractive face, oh, I also hear he's an actor too." Nika scrolls through her phone a bit more. "But there isn't much to go off of, since he is in our general classes. Seems like he also has a twin sister too-"

Letting out a dry cough, you clutch at your throat. Gagging on your siliva as she hands you your drink. You thankfully take it as you gulp it down.

"You always pick the pretty guys, way too pretty.."

She mocks as you place down your drink, shaking your head in defiance at the idea.

"Now hold on-"

She ignores your protest, continuing easily. "But from what I can tell face-glance at his personality, quiet."

"And not the, 'Oh, so shy!' Kind of way More, 'creep and ice cold.' I also hear he has a sister-con-"

Spitting out your drink, you heave, mouth agape as the water drools down to your thighs.

"H... HOW DO YOU KNOW SO MUCH?!"

You yell, swirly-eyed at all the info placed on you. "Nevermind.. I don't think I wanna know.." You sigh out dizzily, swaying in your seat.

"Ha.." Nika laughs at your struggle. "Basic rumors, media-" She lists off easily, "and studying his interactions with you."

You grumble quietly, "thats a bit much." Yet continue eating, trying to recall the times the two of you been around each other.

While, you hoped you would ignore the plot. Pretending it didn't exist like your other problems, it was hard.

Playing dumb wasn't hard.

What was hard however, was ignoring a cute blue-eyed blonde who's goal was to kill his own father.

Him being your seatmate, wasn't too bad per-say. Esspically if he showed no intrest in you at all.

"...Aqaumarine Hoshino." He spoke with politeness, not bothering to smile as je glances back to the board.

It stung, sure, yet it was easier for you to live without the pain your heart would feel if you fell for him. Just like the other poor girls who got insared in his web of lies and odd bonds.

Though, the two of you gradually become more aquainted woth each other.

Often him being blunt with a dead-pan gaze, yet, this simple relationship fine in your book.
