Man I have GOT to stop starting major RP threads right before a roadtrip where I will not have Internet access for a significant portion of the trip

((Hi everyone! I just wanted to make a quick PSA as it has come up a few times now: I know I have a lot of young fans who follow this blog, and I love seeing fan content of my stuff! However I have a hard and fast rule that I have held for a handful of years now: if you are a minor, I am not going to be mutuals with you, purely on principal that I am an adult and I do not personally feel comfortable following minors directly or having lengthy, interpersonal chats. While I love the fanmail, fanart, fanedits, etc, I have some specific boundaries about my underage fans. Thanks so much for understanding!

No one knows what his species is, though a few hermits have guesses and betting pools

His hair is naturally white and all of his body hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, etc is as well

He has slightly too-sharp fingernails that look more like claws than human fingers

He wears a single clock earring on his right ear

His ears are slightly pointed at the tips and stick out a little

His left eye is Redstone of his own creation; he adds to it frequently and currently it can measure distances by sight, identify players and mobs, preform and display complex equations and calculations, see in the dark to a limited degree, zoom in and out [it appears to him like an overlay on the left side of his vision, a small pop-up window), and more. He lost his left eye in a creeper explosion in his singleplayer world when a piece of shrapnel hit him square in the eye. His right eye is a white iris, deep red pupil, and just barely a ring of medium grey surrounding the iris.

He is 6' 4" - shorter than Doc (like most), taller than a majority of other Hermits and Lifers. When compared to Scar out of his wheelchair, they are similar heights but Scar is a few inches taller

He wears ratty, tattered fingerless gloves

He is almost never seen without his jacket; he complains of being cold without it

Only the NHO have seen his face without his mask

His entire body is very scarred, especially his back

Mod Note: I have not seen a fair few seasons of HC, including the most recent (9 & 10) and I have not finished Third Life, Double Life, or seen any after Double Life. I will include this as I (very slowly) watch it. This blog is "set" in a fictional season so that I can have creative liberty and not worry about getting fact checked.

[OOC post! Life is going to be catching up to me here soon, cutting down on my free time to generate RP responses.

That being said, I have a bunch of shorter stuff to keep y'all entertained, and I cannot stress this enough, I LOVE ASKS! Please! Throw em at me! Cannon, OC, whatever, I'm willing to respond to just about anything, and I usually have enough time to answer shorter asks and one offs during my day.

First thing you should know about Inu, I've played the violin since I was six and am terribly obsessed with instrumental music. I will absolutely post and tag people in songs I feel suit the muses. Positive note aside, I do need to extend onto my rules a bit.

For all that I love reblogging memes, I am very slow with actually answering them because I turn them into creative writing assignment half the time. Memes don't expire, but if I forget what they're meant for I will just delete them. If I can't figure out how to answer them at a length I'm happy with, they'll sit there forever and a year. I am sorry, I have always been like this.

On that same note, please be mindful of how many asks to threads that things get turned into. I never know how far something is supposed to be carried and then before I know it I have 109 drafts and am panicking. My ADHD tends to make me lose things and I can't keep up with threadtrackers so I tend to drop things without realizing it when I have so many things to keep up with.

Another thing to note. While I don't mind Michael being dragged into other muses relationships, this can cause confusion (especially for me) when there's suddenly a whole other third muse/mun now tangled up in a conversation. I like to keep everything in a seperate verse so aside from silly little ask box things, I'd rather not have a whole thread in a three way conversation. Especially when I'm not familiar with whatever the other dynamic between those two muses are. Does that make sense?

I've been around for a while, a lot of certain things have been burned for me because of people. One of those things is three-way threads. I won't do them. I can't. In that same line I don't do group chats or servers. They scare the life out of me and give me to much anxiety.

Just remember I'm only human and if you ever have any questions just come ask! I might be slow with IM's (especially if I'm socially overwhelmed) but I'll get there eventually!

Hey all, some personal under the cut:

I'm gonna be pretty flakey today. It's the anniversary of losing my mom, and I'm pretty emotional and fragile right now. I may be down for some low impact sort of threads but I'm taking it easy primarily.

This is also a good time to state some housekeeping rules about my personal triggers:

Pretty much my only trigger, and my main one, is opiate use. Fictional drugs, other drugs, all fine to write about and have mention of, but opiates are a no no for me. My mother died from an overdose after battling a near lifetime addiction that ruined her life, and it's... really triggering for me to see mention of it.

As such, I absolutely don't follow muses with mention of it or themes regarding opiates. I also ask that if it ever does come up on the dash, please tag it for me.

quick rules updates/blog organizing

I did some blog housekeeping today as I've been taking a little breather from my convention activities~

I added a few silly rp specific tags for castmates and this blog's Shitpost Lore TM. They're in the pinned now.

I also updated a few of my rules. To summarize:

Most important one: since I've been writing more about Artemis' backstory lately, I've revised the tw list on this blog to include domestic violence and past csa. Artemis is a csa survivor. I had intended to be fairly vague about that on this blog since it's such a commonly intense trigger for people (and I probably still will be), but unexpectedly a bunch of you have actually shown interest in learning more about this obscure little man?? Which is delightful to me, but now I want to warn more thoroughly about what's really going on with him, particularly if you guys wanna read any of the books :') I love you, thank you for your enthusiasm and be safe.

In practice, I've tended to flop between just regular text or -1 text in threads just mirroring whatever my partner is using, so I made a note about that as a stylistic choice. I think I'm also just gonna go Fuck It and start writing OOC and headcanon posts in regular text too from now on because it drives me nuts how often I switch on that front LMAO

Since the Legend of Drizzt fandom on tumblr is so small and chill, I don't mind if non-rp blogs follow me or even chat with me in ims or on out of character posts about the series. My only request is that you don't reblog any of my rp threads because it just messes up notifications for me and my writing partner. Other than that… I love you, tiny Drizzt fandom. I am reaching out to cup you gently in my palm lol

I've been trying to get to some actual drafts today too but we'll see. I've at least been rereading them and hehehe... I am writing with such talented people <3 Stay rad.

may 17-19: i drive upstate to disappear into the woods. (no jk, going hiking. yes, we do have gear for that.)

may 24-26: i discount amtrak myself to Lancaster PA for friend weekend. (yes, we have those too.)

june ~1-13: i get on a plane to Spain, go to a party down a red dirt road; three days Madrid; plane hop; nine to ten days en Gran Canaria where i become one with the sea. (no jk, it's back to queens for us >:T land of autoshops and f*** *****.)
