Surtr's vocal cords

I think Surtr could have sustained vocal cord damage throughout the years without an upper beak.

I highly doubt that an open cavity is good for the vocal cords and the mouth in general. It would explain the occasional crack in his voice.

Yes, the eggs are his. No, it wasn't Nyra or my OC who laid them. Yes, my mind is weird. Yes, I belong into an asylum.

Will I go? No.

Was this a complete waste of my time? Yes.

Do I regret it? Yes.

Will I do it again? Yes.

Am a salty today? Yes.

Do I apologize for it? No.

Why? I was trapped in a car in which I could not get out of in scorching heat for over 1 1/5 hours, constantly fighting not to vomit all over my lap and the car carpet, only to walk through an ugly ass city for hours in the middle of the sun, sweating my ass off while being run over by nearly everything because the people there appear to have forgotten to grow eyes! And the drive home wasn't better because intelligence is lacking in the human race, which led to a MASSIVE traffic jam! And that is the BEST part of my day today! The only positive was that I got to see my mum and that I spent some time chatting with my friend.

So have this and let me get back to my basement to draw more useless things and be an even saltier bitch.

School is sitting on top of my head and pushing me down with all its might and the comic takes MUCH longer than I anticipated. Most likely because I am horrible at shading.

The mask was a nightmare to draw, but I am kind of proud how this turned out.

Nyra was viciously attacked by several owls of a specific breed and was saved by none other than her beloved husband, Metal Beak. He paid dearly for daring to disrupt his brethren during their hunt.

However, Nyra is safe and sound. And as long as that is the case, every wound would be worth it.

A quick sketch of Metal Beak/Surtr BEFORE the boy lost the majority of his beak. I took a look at his wiki and he was actually a beautiful owl before he got scarred.

The legs are a little awkward, the shading is bad, as well as the lighting, but oh well. I still enjoyed drawing him. Hope you enjoy <3.

I messed up with shading, but I like how he looks. The breed designation is still there, and as soon as I saw how it looked on the photo, I had to remove it.

Happy (late) Halloween, my friends!

Here, have a lovely trio and a glimpse of this blog's main oc. I won't tell you his name yet, but his reveal will come soon. Well, as soon as I learn how to draw background, that is. I'm sorry this didn't come out yesterday, but I had too little time on my hand to finish it in time. I still hope you like it:

???: I cannot believe you have managed to talk me into this...nonsense! This is hummiliating and a waste of time! If the soldiers saw us like this...

Nyra: Oh, shut it. This is all in good fun! Besides, you look simply gorgeous in that cape of yours.

???: Yes, yes, whatever! Just call Surtr and let's get this over with! There is an entire stack of paperwork waiting for me back at our quarters...

???: I cannot even fly in this attire! Who made this?

Nyra: Shut your lovely beak, love.

Nyra: Surtr! Are you coming, dear? The faster we get this done the faster you can take this marvolously carved pumpkin off of your head and put your mask back on!!!

Metal Beak: I swear in Glaux' name, Nyra. If you weren't my wife, you would be long gone...

Nyra: Sulking like a hatchling will not get you out of this, my sweetheart! Come over here and say it, and I swear in the name of the Pure Ones to leave you be.

Metal Beak: I should have your wings clipped for this!

And for those who are interested; I thought of the following scenario hat caused me to draw this comic:

Nyra ADORES Halloween. Whenever that time of the year comes around, she feels the spirit and wants her mates to do the same. However, neither male was particularly interested in Halloween and does not share her enthusiasm. They would prefer to treat it like any other day.

Nyra, however, cared little for and promptly talks her mates into participating in a small celebration. Forcing the tallest to dress up as a vampire as his red eyes fit the theme and putting a carved pumpkin on Metal Beak's head to replace his usual mask (he hates her for it), the Queen of the Pure Ones wishes all of you a Happy (late) Halloween.🎃👻
