i think it’s so funny that you say he moves so fast bc it took him ten updates to admit to himself that he had feelings for the guy who literally took him out on a date for that whole day LOL but to answer your question (without revealing too much bc it is supposed to be from mike’s limited pov for a Reason) i’d definitely say a little bit of both!! the extent of will’s knowledge towards mike’s feelings for him rn are still how we left it at the end of 9.2 as he is not aware of the 30k word long crisis mike just underwent, so there is still soooooooo so so much uncertainty there for him, and definitely too much right now for him to truly make a move and push past that current boundary they have in place. but (also as seen in ch09 overall) he definitely has felt a sense of familiarity within their dynamic for a little while now so while he can’t go past that boundary necessarily, it’s not hard at all for him to stretch the limits of it a little and to kind of see how mike responds to it. (ch10 spoiler: mike responds by immediately deciding he has to be will’s boyfriend or he might wither away and die lol.) but in all honesty, and probably most importantly — it’s just that will really likes him so bad and can’t help but be a little stupid about it 🩵

Inferna Corpa: Your Muse’s soul is now magically trapped inside a ring for [8] asks/threads!

Bonely had fallen prey to many a magical item in his pawnshop back in Vansia, but none so diabolical as this. It had seemed harmless enough but it smelled strange. So, being naturally curious, the caster had sniffed and moved to grab it for closer examination, but apparently doing so had triggered whatever vile magcis rested inside.

Pain shot through the caster like a bolt of lightning, paralyzing him as the wicked magics took hold. Slowly, the ring’s smooth white surface darkened as if filling with ink while its form twisted and shifted in his claws. A gasp escaped him as he felt the ring’s magic pulling at him - at his magic! His runes glowed and flashed violently, every strain of him trying to escape it’s pull. But the ring’s power wasn’t just after his magic. No, those were just the strings connected to its true target.

Bonechared let out a strangled cry as he felt the core of his being—his soul— rising from his chest to his mouth. He tried to swallow it back, to force it down deeper, when a single snapping sensation, like the breaking of a taught line, split through his being. For a moment darkness took him. Silent, empty darkness. Nothing but his rasping labored breath could be heard.

Slowly the caster opened his eyes, his vision blurred while his ears rang. He blinked and paused when he saw a vibrant indigo glow not far from him. There, lying where it had fallen, was a black ring with an indigo center, silver-black runes decorating it’s splendor. But even from here, Bonely recognized the glow and reached to close his claws the dastardly item; His core. His magic. His soul.

Oooohohoo that would be interest-ing! For this one I'll be using the ones specifically classified as an Exe, just so this isn't miles long fyi ^-^

But that still means a handful of guys!

.Exe — You'd certainly catch his eye. But he'd also wildly underestimate you. If you're a demon sure, alright, maybe he won't try to kill you. But if you're like him...? He'd treat you almost with caution and watch you from afar. Nobody can just be like him. He's God, and there's room for only one of those in this hell.

Lord X — He wouldn't try hiding both his interest and contempt for you. Interest in how much you could take before he ultimately breaks you, and just how durable you as a demon are. And contempt because it'll probably make him start thinking more about how to get under your skin. You're not like other people; his go-to tricks aren't working. Unlike .Exe this hate doesn't come out of underestimating you, oh no. He's aware of your capabilities. It's the fact that you aren't yet pleading for his mercy as fast as he wants you to that he loathes.

Majin — Debatably the most friendly! (Outwardly, at least.) His offering for infinite fun extends just as limitlessly; no matter who or what you are he will always have an open hand. But he's somewhat wary of you. Keeping a close eye on you in his presence, underneath his reign in his pocket dimension (where the real fun takes place, as he puts it.) He's not suspicious of you yet, not unless you're an active and perceivable threat to himself. But he wants to keep himself careful.

Xenophanes — Watch yourself. Demon or not, no matter your move as long as you're in his wake you're equally viable prey as anyone else. Slip up and he'll puppet you like he did his own Knuckles, perhaps strip you of your power while he's at it. He'll exercise his title of God endlessly over you, he has no concern about how strong you may be. You don't and can't compare to him, and he revels in this fact by aiming to toy with you as much as he pleases.

Faker — He holds no opinion over you, good or bad. As long as you don't get in his way he can even hold a mutual respect for you. His overall silence is pressing, and sometimes you can see how he looks at you like a cat stalking a bird. At least he doesn't do anything to you. If he didn't know you'd fight back, or if you just didn't fight at all, this would be a whole different story.

Sunky — YOU!!! You're his friend now AND you're having soft tacos later :)! Not any immediate friend stuff, but he'd do frequent checks-in with you (making sure you've eaten, strangely he always specifically asks if you'd had breakfast...?) Also don't get worried if a favorite song starts playing suddenly– he may have done just a bit of digging around to try and get you into a jiggy mood. You've been inducted into his list of people to invite to to dance parties, is all :)
