Keeping An Open Ear To The Lord.
Learn to listen to the voice of God in prayer. It may save your life and the lives of your loved ones.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matt 26:41) As I studied 1 Chronicles 21, I saw how King David had given an open door to Satan and fell into temptation by numbering his people. This, in turn, caused God to punish Israel. Although we do not know what type of punishment the nation suffered, the fruit of this rebellion gave…

#MESSAGE 📖 The first thing Jesus said to the Ephesus Church after introducing Himself to them is: I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which says they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: Revelation 2:2 God is watching us closely. He can see it all! He said that members of the Ephesus Church did not tolerate sinners. They were separate (2 Corinthians 6:17). Are you comfortable amongst sinners? The Bible asks “What has light got to do with darkness?" If you choose a business partner who is not born again, he could be brandishing a charm under the table where no one can see him. You would then be wondering why God is not answering your prayers, without knowing that evil spirits have been invited into your business. Jesus also commended this Church for trying the people who came to them claiming to be apostles, and finding the fake ones to be liars. When Paul was about to leave the Ephesians, he said: For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Acts 20:29-30 Paul warned them of false prophets and they immediately started trying whoever claimed to be sent by God to them. This tell us that the members of this church were not just hearers of the word but doers also. If these people had not acted on Paul's admonition to them, only God knows the kinds of doctrines that would have entered the Church. It is because of this admonition that Jesus said they hated the Nicolaitans. The Nicolaitans are those who preach that once you are saved, you are forever saved - the false grace preachers. The Ephesus Church never believed their lies because they tested spirits before even listening to any preacher. You will only fall for false doctrines if you don’t test all spirits. #openheavens #dailydevotion #pastoreaadeboye (at Lagos, Nigeria) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg_dx7dokzM/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Open Heaven - 12 February 2020: The Beloved II
Topic: The Beloved II
By Pastor E. A. Adeboye Memorise: “And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.” – Genesis 22:18 Read: Genesis 22:11-18 (KJV) 11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. 12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. 15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. Bible in One Year: Exodus 39-40 MESSAGE: Blessings are in level. It could be general or special. God causes the rain to fall on both the good and evil; He makes air available to everybody. These are general blessings. But He can also reserve special blessings – the greatest of them, for His beloved. In order not to be seen as a partial, He puts up His beloved for great blessings and then leaves them to take critical decisions. Elijah asked the widow of Zarephath to surrender her last meal to him, and after she did, God blessed her with an unending supply of food. If anyone should ask God in future, “why did you send Elijah to that widow of all the widows in the land?” He would turn to them and ask, “Can you surrender your last meal?” Click HERE for More Open Heaven Devotional When He loves you, He will put you in line for irreversible blessings by asking you for a serious sacrifice. The moment you do it, He will bless you greatly. In Genesis 22:1-18, God told Abraham to sacrifice his son to Him, but as soon as he lifted the knife to kill the boy, God stopped him and swore by Himself saying “In blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.” Generally, God’s favorite will not lack any good thing. David, the man after God’s heart said confidently “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).when God loves you, He will ensure that all your needs are supplied even before you make a request and if you want more, He will give you in abundance. In 2 Samuel 12:8, He told David: “And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.” If you would obey Him absolutely from now on, God will put you in line for an irreversible blessing in the mighty name of Jesus. Key Point: God’s beloved would never lack any good thing. Hymn 5: Deeper, Deeper In The Love Of Jesus. 1 Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus Daily let me go; Higher, higher in the school of wisdom, More of grace to know. Chorus: Oh, deeper yet, I pray, And higher every day, And wiser, blessed Lord, In Thy precious, holy Word. 2 Deeper, deeper, blessed Holy Spirit, Take me deeper still, Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus, And His perfect will. 3 Deeper, deeper! though it cost hard trials, Deeper let me go! Rooted in the holy love of Jesus, Let me fruitful grow. 4 Deeper, higher, every day in Jesus, Till all conflict past, Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image Perfected at last. 5 Deeper, deeper in the faith of Jesus, Holy faith and true; In His pow’r and soul exulting wisdom Let me peace pursue. #MESSAGE 📖 We see in our Bible reading - today that Jesus Christ was about to dictate letters for John to write and deliver to seven Churches. The Almighty God chose these seven Churches because they represent all the strengths and weaknesses of Christians all through the ages. In the next few days, we will be looking at each of these letters and drawing lessons from them because they are meant for the body of Christ in general and also for the individuals’ that make up the church. Thus, we should regard them as letters from your husband to you – Christ is the husband of the church as we are his bride. The statement, he that have an ear should let him hear (Revelation 2:7,11, 17, 29, 3:6, 13, 22) makes it clear that He is talking to individuals. On judgment day, you will get the reward of your works here on earth, regardless of which church you were attending. When John turn to see the voice that spoke to him, there were seven candlesticks representing the churches and, in their midst, he saw Jesus (Revelation 1:12-13). This tells us that Jesus is in the midst of the churches. Jesus is in our midst in the Redeemed Christian Church of God and other every other churches of God out there. Halleluyah. As soothing as this information is, it should also bring fear to those who are not doing His will. He is right there in your midst and can see all the atrocities that you are committing in the church. On the other hand, He can see all faithful ones and He has a reward for everyone according to their works. What reward does Jesus has for you? John also saw seven stars in the hand of Jesus and these seven stars are the angel of the churches. Since it is the angel of these churches that the letters were addressed to (Revelation 2:1), it means these were the leaders of the churches – the Pastors. The Pastors are in His hands. This is why He says that you should not touch his anointed and do his prophet no harm (Psalm 105 :15). If you are a pastor, ensure that you do not bring abomination into his vineyard so that you will not be crushed by His everlasting hands. #rccg70 #perfectjubilee #openheavens #pastoreaadeboye #knowledgeofgod #teamkogmusic #kogmusictv (at Lagos, Nigeria) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg7rstoIqXJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
