Born in 1987. Artist/musician. Ei Wada rebuilds old electric appliances into electronic musical instruments, and creates and exhibits works of art and music performed by new and unique methods. In 2009, he started the group Open Reel Ensemble, which manipulates and plays reel-to-reel tape recorders. The group is involved in a wide range of activities including concert performances, DVD/CD and book publishing, art installations and providing music for movies and catwalk shows. Recently it has begun an ambitious orchestral project using 20 reel-to-reel tape recorders. Also, He has provided music for ISSEY MIYAKE's Paris Collection for 11 consecutive times. He has performed in various locations around the world. His latest project is called "ELECTRONICOS FANTASTICOS!" for which they create electronic musical instruments, orchestra and strange festival using used home electronics with the participants.

PFW: #IsseyMiyake SS16 is a whirlwind of 'botanical delights'. Natural materials have been combined with their tech focus to create a new fabric called 3D Steam Stretch (steam heats the fabric which continue to shrink the threads to create constant evolution). A live drum performance by #EiWada of #OpenReelEnsemble provides the atmosphere with synthesisers and an open reel deck, and #MasatsugaHattori presents his live drum performance to accompany. The 'Botanical Delights' theme was more than evident with models and garments becoming Birds of Paradise striding down the heavily-produced runway. All nationalities in ever-confident strides glided past in a bombardment of colour. Hair was pinned and fluffed out to create a notion of an exotic birds appearance, working with garments perfectly. Splashes of vibrant eye makeup in the side corners of the models' eyes worked alongside a few tasselled earrings also. Large flat woven handbags (some fabulously loosely tasselled) were in the same style as hats. The handful of hats all had strong silhouettes and seemed to take inspiration from safari-style pieces. One seemed to be attached and displayed on the back side of the model, also a possible new handbag of sorts. Tasseled footwear came in the form of flats and fabulous platformed sandals: some monotone but printed, and some wonderfully colourful. #Miyaki's classic identity continues to be renewed with originality through the vision of designer #YoshiyukiMiyamar. Miyaki's continued popular success can be seen in the Birds of Paradise (or peacocks as I like to call them) attending the overcrowded yet extremely atmospheric and enjoyable show. 🌿🌺🌷🌾🌿🌺🌷 @isseymiyake #IsseyMiyakeUK (at Espace Ephémère Des Tuileries)
