I finished her!! I still don’t understand shading but it’s okay, we’ll get there, in the meantime, this is my Mass Effect character, her name is Ophelia Noelle Shepard. Her background is Colonist, losing her family and friends in the raid on Mindoir when she was sixteen, and ended up in the military when she was eighteen. During her military career, she meet her ex-fiancée and they shortly fell in love, having a romantic love story, but not all love stories end happy and like many things in her life, Ophelia’s relationship ended after her second daughter’s first birthday after a number of things came to light. While in service during an unknown period, she becomes a War Hero after she almost single-handedly repelled an attack by Batavian slavers on Elysium.

Unfortunately, it’s important to note that Ophelia doesn’t have full custody of her children as her military career doesn’t permit it while she’s all over the system. However, she does have 50/50 custody with them but rarely speaks about her daughters to anyone in an attempt to protect them. Captain Anderson nearly choked on his water when he found out and may be the only person who knows as it’s a ‘missing’ segment in her files.

Who do your Shepards romance?

Who are your Shepards?

Oh boy oh boy I get to yap!!!!!!! I get to yap about my space girlies!!!!!!!!!

First up we have Maeve Shepard (because who am I if I don’t do a self insert first lbr) and she is a paragade infiltrator, which means she mostly does the righteous thing but there are some things she’ll bend on and even doing the right thing she’ll have an attitude about it. She is an earthborn sole survivor, so she grew up on earth mainly in a gang and joined the Alliance in order to get out of the gang. While in the Alliance, she was on the expedition to Akuze which resulted in her being the only survivor of the thresher maw attack. She romances Garrus starting in ME2 (infiltrator4infiltrator <3333)

Next is Ophelia Shepard, my paragon adept. Obviously being a paragon, she’s trying to do the right thing at all times and she does her best not to compromise on her morals. This gets a little tricky in ME2, hence the lovingly dubbed mental breakdown haircut come ME3 because she needs a fresh start. She’s a spacer war hero, so she’s been an Alliance brat all her life and it was only natural she eventually joined up, and then she was on Elysium when the Skyllian Blitz happened and that’s where she became known as the Hero of Elysium. She romances Kaidan through the whole trilogy (THE biotic power couple, literally)

Finally, we have Lorelei Shepard, my renegade vanguard. She’s not afraid to be blunt, ruthless, and mean as hell, and that usually means she’s a “shoot first ask questions later” kinda gal. She doesn’t have time for bullshit. She is a colonist with the ruthless history, so she experienced and survived the batarian raid on Mindoir as a teen which spurred her to join the Alliance, only to participate in the raid on Torfan post-Blitz where she became known as the Butcher of Torfan. She doesn’t romance anyone in the trilogy except in ME2 where she romances Thane (which… I won’t say how that goes due to spoilers).

Sliding into here with a very silly Awakening au, if that doesn’t sound like my normal field that is because it’s actually about Outrealm stuff and the Einherjar.

This is a level past the fic I made about Awakening’s dlc maps, this is uh, actually just about the Spotpass ‘bonus box’ armies and the units you can recruit from that.

There was a certain point where I looked at what I had done and was like; ok, so Petrine is interacting with Soleil and Ophelia in Regna Ferox over half a decade after Fire Emblem Awakening because by that time the fates trio are back and the new gen Shepards are fighting remnant Risen and Outrealm threats alongside Einherjar, also Titania is there too and she and Petrine are gay for each other, because of course.

Also also there’s weird original lore and intrigue about Robin, Henry, and their quest to both eliminate and understand the remaining directionless Risen. 

Also also also there’s a genuine Robin character study buried in one of the fics by complete accident when I did not intend for her to be a big focus?

How did I get here???

This is less me gushing about an au and more me sincerely begging all the writers here to let themselves be silly sometimes and have some fun. This project was fun as fuck to work on, and yeah it’s inherently niche as shit and mostly written for me but we need to treat ourselves more often.

I want all of you to write something for you and no one else at your earliest convenience, this is your homework from your friendly neighborhood Petrine simp.

Oc lore feat. Ophelia Shepard

After the events of Mindoir, Ophelia has developed a grudge towards Batarians in general. She's aware that it's not right, and she shouldn't blame an entire race for the results of her trauma, but it doesn't stop her eyes narrowing or her face growing cold when she encounters one.

The worst part of it, deep down, she wishes they didn't existed and as much as she tries to be a paragon, she's a hypocrite and won't go out of her way to help Batarians unless there is something in it for her.

Was it stupid and beyond rash to engage the more elite soldiers of Cerberus, especially since he was a light armored adept? Probably. But he couldn’t stay by and merely watched Cerberus agents gun down innocent, hapless civilians as well as good soldiers int he Citadel. He didn’t just want to only provide shields to others when needed. Dammit, he could fight and shoot better than most!

Byt the time he was facing several Cerberus squads with only a handful of soldiers at his side, Kyle wondered if it was really such a good idea to storm in and halt Cerberus without really having a strategy in mind. Usually, he was better about this–improvisation along the way was more Ivan’s alley. At least firing at the foe with bullets, biotics, and grenades seemed to be working. 

“Kyle, step right! And duck!” 

Feely’s voice washed over him and his body heeded her order, limbs moving as if there were strings attached to them and pulled by Feely’s tone. A grenade sailed over him, granting him enough time to channel his biotics at the incendiary weapon, pushing it away from the Alliance soldiers and back at Cerberus, detonating several seconds later. Debris and a blast of heat showered down on them all and Kyle immediately erected a barrier up to protect anyone close to him from the cascading shards of glass, metal, and other materials. Yet he missed his blindspot, for something hard and sharp pierced through his armor, slicing his side. Feely’s horrific scream of fury echoed in his hears as he turned to face his assailant: a Phantom. Almost sluggishly, a biotic sphere suddenly appeared and swirled over the palm of his hand. Just as he about to smack the Cerberus fighter before she could attempt to stab him again–a shot tang out and the Phantom fell dead at his feet, a gaping hole at the back of her helmet. Ophelia stood in front of him, pistol raised. 

“They shouldn’t have brought a measly sword to a gunfight.” she said grimly, rushing to his side as he began to sag a little. Her mood then shifted quickly to concern. “Kyle! How bad is the wound?”

Wincing, the said man pressed a hand against the bleeding laceration, his chest heaving laboriously. Sweat beaded all around his face. Glancing down, patches of scarlet awarded his spotted vision. “I’m okay, it’s not that deep.”

Feely frowned, the knot growing inside her stomach even more as she witnessed Kyle already bleeding heavily. Even if he was right and the slash wasn’t so severe as he claimed, his movements seemed slower than usual, his breathing sporadic and haggard. Yet his grip on her was tight as she leaned him against her. Shaking her head, Feely pulled him close, ruminating through her supply for med-gel. “Still, that was horrible to watch! Like– oh my God, I thought you were going to die! Please don’t scare me like that every again!” She finally found a vial of medi-gel and without warning, rapidly injected the medicine near the injury. Kyle grunted, jerking slightly in pain. His fingers tightened, digging into her shoulder before loosening his grasp on her a minute later. 

“I promise, I’ll be more careful,” he vowed, taking her free hand and squeezing it gently to reassure Feely. “I won’t let one Cerberus soldier dispatch me..”

The weight on her shoulders and squirming in her gut was lifted, even if only a little. Cerberus still was attacking the Citadel so who knew what else they had up their sleeves? Yet, she reasoned, as long as they were together, they would keep each other safe. 

“Good. Because you promised me a Batman movie marathon and dying to get out of it is not an option!” She tried smiling the motion felt forced, making her seem silly for even attempting to lighten the mood. But the dry chuckle from Kyle banished her uncertainty and peering into his translucent visor, she could see him grinning, eyes alight with mirth.

“I would never try to get out of a promise with you, Feely. I’m actually looking forward to hear your commentary on the different Batman portrayals.”

Heart swelling with both relief and joy, she propped him up against a wall as he recovered, the med-gel knitting the muscles in the laceration back together, dulling the agony bit by bit. “I will hold you to that, Kyle. Once we deal with Cerberus, it’s Batman time!”

It’s basically a Shepard family tradition at this point - Biotic

Lucas Orion Shepard - Nerdy engineer to the core - Fixes all of Allison’s tech problems when Kaidan isn’t around (Allison isn’t bad with tech, she just doesn’t know more than she needs to) - Also joins the Alliance - Biotic
