MF: Day #31: Nurp-Naut

Nurp-Naut is an interesting concept of a mixel, an orbiton with a two-split personality. Where one minute they’re a baby, and then with the spin of a helmet they become an elder. This isn’t just a personality change, this is straight up sporadic ageing!

Now Nurp-Naut is a fun character and all, but I can’t help but wonder how the developers came up with this idea. I like to think that the little orbiton’s helmet has a slight glitch where it can flip its lid and change their personality. And since the obitons inhabit outer space, it could also affect their age, we can’t really tell if Nurp-Naut was always either younger or older than he is.

Those 2 are probably still mostly living on the moon, though I feel the Glowkies are more likely to actually live on Mixel Land/Mixopolis due to their more gregarious and social nature compared to the more seclusive and introverted Orbitons.

Time for a new contest entry, with the theme being "Space"! There was a push to not use the Orbitons, which was tricky, but I had fun in the end!

Out in the far reaches of space lives Toxlien-J2. Sure, he looks like he belongs in a B-movie, and he's rather quiet, but he's a helpful Mixel! Eschewing the foods of other Mixels (those foods are too weird for him!), he instead feasts on one thing and one thing only: radioactive materials! What is a dangerous thing for the common Mixel is a common thing for the alien! Thankfully, the Mixels don't mind whenever he decides to have a buffet of his favorite snacks, it saves on clean-up for them. They only question how he eats without taking his helmet off!

The Scoopertrons

In reference to Freeze dried Ice cream being a treat astronauts can enjoy our in space, the Orbitons are now based on sweet Ice cream! The moon of Planet Sweettooth is like a ball of frozen confection, so they're well suited for the chilled environment.

The Cinnamonites cousins

Much like their series 1 brethren, the Infernites have been redesigned with a cinnamon twist... But poor Burnard and Meltus. They must always be taking the cinnamon challenge.

The Glowcorns

The Glowkies maintain their glowing eyes... But given their spooky motif in canon, I couldn't resist making them Halloween themed. And what's more Halloweeny than Candy corn? Their green teeth are in reference to the cheap plastic vampire fangs one can buy during spooky month.

MF Day #28: Rokit

Starting off the second year of Mixels with wave 4, which features one of the first tribes that explore outside of the theme of elements, even outside of their own planet!

And out of all the Orbitons, Rokit is probably my personal favorite of the tribe. I really like his soldier-like appearance which is a good fit for this theme. And he contains some of the funniest moments in the special he’s featured in: “Mixel Moon Madness”.

weird dream i had last night.. There is a series called 'Mixels Figma' that was released 1 year before the show was created. There's a episode of these 2 characters talking in a deep conversation in some place and at the end, they borrow some fruits with the bag. One of those fruits is a blueberry that has the size of an apple. There's was a Orbiton character existing at that one point. The orbiton character falls down to the mixel planet with the rocket ship while they fall like a meteor.

This is maybe (or not maybe) related to the mixels figma series but. When i was dreaming, there's a shot of Flurr saying 'man this sucks' while at the beach. An then Zorch walk in. The distance between Zorch and Flurr are far. And then, Flurr turns his head and stare and zorch. The stare is too long that Zorch is confused. The animation style is like a mspaint drawing edited in windows movie maker.

Globert

Now globert is an interesting mixel since they are mostly nocturnal.

They flutter around and do little dances which makes them popular with performers around the world.

Good Mixels to pair with them are wiztastics, mixies, and infernites. (Mostly the cousins) orbitons can be mixed bags in ways they’ll interact.
