Character Intro: Sophia (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicknames- Soso by her brother & girlfriend
Age- 33 (immortal)
Location- Little Athens, New Olympus
Personality- She's intelligent, analytical, confident, & ambitious. She loves actively pursuing knowledge. She's a lesbian and is currently dating.
She has the standard abilities of a goddess except shapeshifting. As the goddess of thought her other powers/abilities include telepathy, thought projection, mental manipulation (manipulating the minds of others by force or will), having an eidetic memory, and intelligence reduction.
Sophia's abode is a stylish brownstone in the Little Athens neighborhood of New Olympus. The interior design strikes the perfect balance between historic charm & modern elegance. There's a rooftop terrace with a small garden, dark oak flooring, and two ornate fireplaces. The color scheme is cream, royal blue, oxblood, & chocolate brown with wood countertops in the kitchen as well as lots of linen and leather furniture. Everything is immaculately organized.
She has a single pet, her animal companion being a she-dragon named Azurine. Most of her scales and wings are a dark cobalt while her claws, crest, & belly scales are bright copper. Azurine is Sophia's primary mode of transportation.
A go-to drink for her is tumeric tea which she brews herself. She likes to add a bit of honey and lemon juice to it. She also likes cranberry juice, hibiscus tea, homemade kale smoothies, mint infused water, champagne, martinis, & pinot grigio. Her usuals from The Roasted Bean is a medium iced green tea and an olympian sized mango orange splash.
Sophia always starts off her mornings with a session of acupuncture then a session with her masseuse.
Her immediate family includes her older brother Favian (god of philosophy). They have a close relationship with her bringing him meals she cooks. She secretly looks forward to their passionate conversations spanning many topics.
For breakfast her go-to is the whole wheat breakfast burrito from The Bread Box added with sliced avacado, extra spinach, and black olives. At home she'll settle for a bowl of rizogalo, a couple of lightly toasted & buttered onion bagels, or a big bowl of Earthly Harvest raisin crunch cereal.
The most notable feature of Sophia is her long, thick, curly, & glossy raven hair. She attributes the health of her hair to a homemade hair mask she makes (that she puts on her hair for an hour every month) made with tumeric, sweet potato, olive oil, manuka honey, mango pulp, and a few drops of the Glory's Crown healthy hair oil blend. Her other go-to product is the Hairology 2-in-1 eucalyptus & mint shampoo/conditioner.
A guilty pleasure for her the lamb gyros from Olympic Chef. She sometimes orders three or four at once!
She also loves the mandarin orange green salad (drizzled in poppy seed dressing) from The Bread Box.
Sophia' main source of income comes from being Headmistress at Polus Preparatory- a school for youngsters started by Coeus (Titan god of foresight, intellect, & knowledge). The school is in the state of Delphi, a nearly two hour ride on dragonback. She expects nothing short of excellence from her students and faculty. For other means of income she endorses/models for Threads of Wisdom (is a fan of the slingbacks and crossbody bags), Olive Visibly, & White Lily Gallery. She's also a contributing writer for O Dianooumenos.
Her favorite frozen treat is the red velvet cake ice cream waffle cone sundae from The Frozen Spoon.
Sophia's been dating her girlfriend Eikono (goddess of iconography & literature) for a few months and she really enjoys spending time with her. Their first date was an early evening stroll and picnic at Eaglepoint Park where she won Eikono over with her homemade macaroni salad. Whenever their schedules permit, they're always together. A moment of sheer bliss for Sophia is them laying in bed on a quiet lazy morning reading the paper & drinking tea.
Her mentor was Mnemosyne (Titaness of memory & language).
In the pantheon Sophia's friends with Iaso (goddess of cures & remedies), Neicus (god of debate & appeal), his sister Dimósia (goddess of debate), Mesembria (Bria) (goddess of the afternoon); despite the breakup with Favian, Sophrosyne (goddess of moderation, temperance, & restraint), Hesychia (goddess of quiet, stillness, rest, & silence), Pistis (goddess of trust, reliability, & good faith), Nomos (god of laws), Amphictyonis (Amy) (goddess of diplomacy), and Aletheia (goddess of truth). Sophia also admires all the accomplishments of Athena (goddess of wisdom). She also respects her girlfriend's father Logos (god of stories).
As an induction gift, she recieved a pair of designer heels which had a lined paper print design (along with a pencil themed strap) from Kéfi (goddess of mirth).
Sophia prefers wearing cologne than perfume, her favorite being REIGN, the most recent one from Zeus.
Her favorite dessert is the portokalopita from Hollyhock's Bakery.
In her free time Sophia enjoys reading, writing, poker, chess, yoga, doing crossword puzzles, football (soccer), cricket, tennis, going to museums, going to the opera, and visiting art galleries.
Her favorite meal is white rice with butter chicken.
"A being is but the product of their thoughts. What one thinks, one becomes."

Why Switch to Natural Haircare: The Advantages of Using Shampoos Without Chemicals
Tumblr media
In the quest for healthier hair and a more sustainable lifestyle, many are turning to shampoos without chemicals. The benefits of using natural and organic products are numerous, from reducing exposure to harmful substances to being kinder to the environment. In this article, we will explore the advantages of chemical-free shampoos, what to look for when choosing one, and how to make the switch to a more natural hair care routine.
Why Choose Shampoos without Chemicals?
Here are four reasons why one should choose shampoos without chemicals:
Healthier Hair and Scalp: Traditional shampoos often contain sulfates, parabens, and synthetic fragrances that can strip your hair of its natural oils, leading to dryness, irritation, and even hair loss. Chemical-free shampoos use gentle, natural ingredients that cleanse without compromising your hair’s health.
Eco-Friendly: Many conventional shampoos contain ingredients that are harmful to the environment. Chemical-free shampoos are often biodegradable and packaged in eco-friendly materials, reducing your carbon footprint and helping to protect our planet.
Reduced Allergic Reactions: People with sensitive skin or allergies may find that chemical-laden shampoos exacerbate their conditions. Natural shampoos are less likely to cause allergic reactions, making them a safer choice for those with sensitive skin.
Nourishment and Moisture: Natural ingredients like aloe vera, coconut oil, and shea butter provide essential nutrients that help to nourish and moisturize your hair, promoting overall hair health.
Rosemary and Red Onion-Two Ingredients that are Quite Popular:
Two benefits of Rosemary Oil:
Antibacterial Properties: Rosemary oil is known for its antibacterial properties, which can help cleanse the skin and prevent acne by reducing bacteria on the skin's surface.
Anti-Inflammatory Effects: It has anti-inflammatory effects that can soothe irritated skin, reduce redness, and promote a clearer complexion.
Two benefits of Red Onion Extracts:
Rich in Antioxidants: Red onion extract is packed with antioxidants, which help protect the skin from free radical damage and promote a more youthful appearance.
Promotes Collagen Production: It aids in collagen production, enhancing skin elasticity and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Making the Switch to Chemical-Free Shampoos
Transitioning to chemical-free shampoos can take some time as your hair adjusts to the new, gentler formula. Here are a few tips to ease the process:
Be Patient: It may take a few weeks for your hair to adjust to the new shampoo. During this period, you might notice your hair feels different as it detoxes from the buildup of synthetic ingredients.
Use a Clarifying Shampoo: Before switching to a chemical-free shampoo, use a natural clarifying shampoo to remove any residue from your previous products. This can help your hair better absorb the benefits of the new shampoo.
Condition Regularly: Pair your chemical-free shampoo with a natural conditioner to provide additional moisture and protection.
Avoid Heat Styling: Give your hair a break from heat styling tools while it adjusts to the new shampoo. This will help prevent additional stress and damage.
Stay Consistent: Consistency is key. Stick with your new routine and give your hair time to show the benefits of a chemical-free lifestyle.
How to Use Dandruff Control Shampoo
Massage a nickel-sized amount of Dandruff Control Shampoo onto wet hair to form a lather. Allow it to sit for 1 minute, then rinse thoroughly. For best results, follow the Organics+ haircare routine at least three times a week.

How to Take Better Care of Your Skin and Hair in this Humid Climate
As the mercury rises and humidity abounds, your skin and hair needs care. Nobody likes the sticky and stifling during peak summers. Along with the discomfort, the heat and humidity adds a new slew of challenges to everyone’s beauty routine.
From breakouts to redness to even dehydrated skin, the list of problems is long. But, there are, of course, solutions. If you want to provide extra love and pampering to your skin this summer, then our blog has got you covered!
Summer Skin and Hair Care Made Easy
Eat Right
There is a lot of truth to the statement - ‘you are what you eat!’ So, healthy skin and hair during the scorching heat and torrid humidity begin with consuming natural care products that nourish your body from the core.
Eating a balanced diet with organic fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and good-quality olive oil or ghee can do wonders in keeping your skin and hair looking sleek, glowing and youthful all throughout the year. For instance, ghee is rich in omega fatty acids and antioxidants and consuming organic ghee may neutralize free radicals and hydrate the skin from within.
Do Not Skip on SPF
Well, we know - some sunscreens, especially the mineral ones, can feel heavy and tacky on the skin. This is only multiplied by the humidity. However, it is extremely crucial and rather, indispensable, to wear a good-quality sunscreen with a high SPF rating. Nowadays, a lot of people are aware of the harms that the sun’s UVA and UVB rays can cause to the skin.
From accelerating the aging process to causing hyperpigmentation, exposure to the sun’s rays is detrimental in many ways. So, the key is to religiously wear sunscreen. In the Indian market, you can find good-quality sunscreens made of natural care products, which are light, non-sticky, and do not leave a white-cast. Moreover, make sure to re-apply your sunscreen every two to three hours.
Add Cooling Foods To Your Right
Thirdly, summer skin and hair care is incomplete without relishing on hydrating and cooling products. You have to remember that feeling airy and cool does not depend on external factors and products only. Hydration, nourishment, and cooling comes from within. So, you can try incorporating natural care products with cooling properties like raw mango, fennel seeds, coriander seed water, yogurt, coconut water, and more.
Opt for a Light Moisturizer
Just because it is peak summer does not mean your skin requires no moisturizer. Irrespective of the season, moisturizers must not be left out of your everyday skincare regimen. Consider light moisturizers with hyaluronic acids and ceramides as they repair your skin barrier, help in moisture retention, and keep the skin hydrated without feeling greasy or oily.

"I can't hold on, won′t let go, going down the same old road Have it all, take my soul, praying that I′ll make it home And even if I pretend it'll be alright I know I′ll see you again in my other life."
Hollywood Undead – Coming Home
He could smell the heat before he felt it. Burning wood and coal, smoke tingling in his nose. Underneath were the scents of quenching oil, beeswax, and barely noticeable the smell of sulphur, hinting that they should clean their chimney sometime soon.
The forge heated the entire rest of the house, keeping it comfortably warm even in midwinter. The noise was audible through the house as well, but a lot louder here, just like the heat only hit you full force when you opened the door. Teo found Dexter standing at the anvil, hammering away at a glowing red piece of metal that was slowly taking shape.
Teo set down the tray on a part of the big work table that wasn’t laden with tools and scrap metal and notes, and then leaned against the wall, watching his husband work. Dexter was wearing a leather apron over a linen shirt that he had unbuttoned due to the constant heat. Even so, he was drenched in sweat and his face and hands covered in soot. He had tied his shoulder-length hair into a bun that might have been orderly hours ago but now wouldn’t have survived his own scrutiny, but he hadn’t noticed that yet, too deeply focused on his work.
When the metal had cooled down too much to shape it, he held the piece up for inspection for a moment, and Teo used the break in the hammering to announce himself with a cough. Dexter looked up. His face was tired as well as sweaty and sooty, but he smiled back at him. “How long have you been standing there?”
“Not that long. How’s the work coming along?”
Dexter looked back at what was slowly becoming the head of a double-bitted axe. “It’s going well. I got really frustrated with the shape yesterday. But I’m pretty happy with my progress today.”
“Time for a break, then,” Teo said. “I brought you a late-night snack.”
“Oh, but you are already here,” Dexter grinned and Teo groaned, but then couldn’t stop himself from laughing anymore.
“But seriously, you know the rules,” Dexter said. “No food in the forge.”
“I’m sure we can make an exception. You’ve been working for hours. Did you drink enough water?”
“That’s my line”, Dexter said. He untied his hair and ran his hand through it. “You come home from training and I remind you that you probably haven’t thought of staying hydrated.”
“I brought tea,”, Teo said, pointing at the tray. Additionally to the kettle with tea and two mugs, there was a plate filled with hard cheese, pepperoni, pickled onions and bread.
Dexter sighed. “Tea would be nice.” He walked over to a basin filled with water and washed his hands and face, while Teo pulled over another chair, sat down and poured tea for both of them, adding a spoon of honey to Dexter’s cup.
“Thank you, dear.” Dexter stirred the tea and helped himself to some of the food. “You know,” he said. “I can still change the shape a bit. Add a spike instead of the second blade.”
“I like the axe head like that,” Teo said, smirking. This had been the topic of a heated discussion when Dexter had started work on the weapon.
“I do too, actually,” Dexter said. “The shape really came out well. It just needs some minor adjustments.” He took a sip from his cup. “I’m still not sure what kind of wood to use for the haft. I’m used to working with ash, but I’ve herad good things about hickory. I might just try both and see which I like better…”
Teo listened as Dexter further explained his process and what next steps he had planned. A lot of it, Dexter had already talked about a few days ago, some of it Teo didn’t really understand. He had some practice in smithing, most of it taught to him by Dexter, but nothing close to the level his husband was on. Still, he liked listening to Dexter’s elaborations on his craft. He sipped on the tea and leaned forward against the table.
“Well, I can’t wait to wield that weapon,” he said when Dexter paused his talk for a moment to take a bite of cheese. Then he spotted one piece of paper laying atop the other notes, showing a sketch like some of the other pages. This one was a lot more detailed and with multiple vertical and horizontal lines running through it like the pattern on a dragonchess board. “What’s this?” he asked.
Dexter followed his gaze. “Oh, that’s just – I was thinking about engravings on the axe blades,” he explained. “I was just doodling while I took a break and then I came to like it. I haven’t decided yet if I actually want to do that.”
“I think you should,” Teo said, looking at the sketches of trees and flowers, birds perched on branches and vines climbing the stumps. “This is beautiful.”
Dexter furrowed his brow. “Sometimes I wonder if that is the right approach.” He avoided Teo’s gaze as he took another sip of tea. “The weapons I make are intended for violence… and now for war. It almost doesn’t seem right to have it be… pretty.”
“I think that makes it more important to have those engravings on it.” Teo reached for Dexter’s hand, a lot softer than his own thanks to the diligent application of the creams he used to ward of the notorious blacksmith hands. “I’m not going to war because I want to kill people – even though I will have to do that. But I’m doing it to protect you. To prevent this war from ever reaching you. To protect the people I love.”
Dexter looked up at him, smiling, but there was a pain, a sadness in his warm brown eyes. “I know,” he sighed and squeezed Teo’s hand. Teo brought Dexter’s hand up to his face and kissed it.
He remembered back when he had joined the military, more out of a lack of alternatives than anything else. Back then, he didn’t think there was anything to him but physical strength, and since he didn’t want to spend his life with farm work like his parents, he had turned to fighting. He had thought that was the only thing he was good at. That was before he had met Dexter.
“I’ll be glad if there’s something beautiful on this axe,” Teo said. “Something that doesn’t have anything to do with war or violence. Something that reminds me of you.” He grinned. “And when I’m back and get that huge load of money they’ll owe me for my service, we’ll get a big house with an even bigger garden and a chimney that doesn’t get clogged all the time, and the engravings will let me think of that while I’m away.”
Dexter sighed again. “You make it all sound so easy.” For a moment he seemed lost in thought. “But you did just give me an idea.” With his other hand, he took up a pencil and added something to the design that Teo couldn’t make out among all the other sketch lines. “I will be working on the engravings the next few days, then,” he said. “I’ll do it before heat treating the steel, otherwise it will take forever.”
“So that means you will complain about your eyes hurting a lot soon?” Teo asked.
“I don’t do that.”
“You do. Every time you engrave something.”
“Well, it is very delicate work, and the light conditions here don’t make it easier,” Dexter said defensively. “Maybe you could be a darling and get Mrs Lowland from next door to cast Light on a rock and bring that over.”
“I’ll do that,” Teo smiled.
Dexter reached for some more food. “You know, I really want to get this axe finished as fast as possible. Because I want to have as much time as possible left before you leave. But on the other hand…” He was very intentionally avoiding Teo’s gaze now. “I know it’s stupid and doesn’t make sense, but I feel like the closer I get to finishing it, the faster that day will approach. Like I'm dreading that the moment you’ll take up that axe, I’ll lose you.” Dexter let out a shallow laugh to ward of the tension. “Fey apparently had a similar idea,” he said. “She actually asked me to not work on the axe anymore, so you won’t have to go.”
“You think she’ll try to steal it?” Teo joked.
“Oh, I’m sure of it. That’s why I’ll lock the forge tonight.”
They both laughed, but there was a strain now, a tension in the room that had no place here.
Then Dexter said: “She worries about you.”
“I know.”
“I do, too.”
Teo sighed. “I know.” He laid his other hand to his husband’s as well. “Dexter, I promise I’ll – “
He cut himself off. They had both heard the sound. They looked to the open door, and both caught a glimpse of a small figure disappearing behind a shelf just then. They looked at each other knowingly, Teo with a smirk, Dexter with an exasperated expression.
“We know you’re here, Fey”, Teo called over.
Found out, the Halfling girl stepped out from behind the shelf. She was wearing her light green nightgown and messy pigtails. “Have you asked him yet, Dad?” Her voice was small.
Confused, Teo looked at Dexter, who seemed a bit uncomfortable. Fey had her eyes directed at the floor now, face red.
“She asked me to tell you not to go,” Dexter said.
Fey was shuffling her bare feet on the floor now. Teo waved her over. “Come here.”
She looked up, a bit surprised that the rule forbidding her from entering the forge would be lifted just like that, but she didn’t say anything, maybe worried that mentioning it would reinstate the taboo. She walked over to her parents. Teo lifted her up and sat her on his lap.
“Can’t sleep?” he asked.
She shook her head without looking either of her fathers in the eyes. “I don’t want you to leave,” she said.
Teo tried to force a smile. “It’s still two weeks ‘til that,” he said. “That’s a long time, you know?”
“How long will you be away?”
Teo winced. She had already asked him that when he had first explained that he was leaving soon. It wasn’t the first time that he was away from his family because of his job in the military, even though this would be different, of course. Maybe she had sensed that, had heard the urgency in her Pops’ voice and seen it in her Dad’s face. He still only had the same unsatisfactory answer. “We don’t know that yet. But I’ll be back as soon as possible.”
Fey nodded unconvinced. She had started playing with a loose thread on her nightgown.
“I’m gonna write you letters as often as I can,” Teo ensured. “And I hope I get some back from you. I want to know about the progress you make in school.”
Fey nodded again but also rolled her eyes. “Who am I gonna play dragonchess against while you’re away?”
“You can play with your Dad,” Teo suggested. “Or bring some kids from school over to play.”
“Dad is horrible at dragonchess, Pops,” Fey said.
“I am not,” Dexter said, indignant.
“Are, too.” Fey reached for a piece of bread and some cheese from the plate, and neither of her parents objected despite her having already brushed her teeth. “Beating you isn’t even a challenge. And neither are the kids at school. Most of them don’t even know the rules.” She sounded appalled at this.
“Hm, I see the problem,” Teo said. “But I have an idea: Remember when you asked me about the letters and numbers on the edges of the chess boards?”
“Yeah. You said those were so you can keep track of the turns. So you can write them down, like a list.”
“Exactly. So every time I send you a letter, I’ll write a dragonchess piece and the place I move it to: layer, letter and number. And then on our board you can move that piece, and then make your move with your own pieces and send it to me in the next letter in the same way. It will be like playing against me, you’ll just have to move the pieces for me. Does that sound like a good idea?”
“Yeah.” Fey grinned. “It will take forever, though.”
“Tell you what: If you beat me before I return, I’m gonna get you a present.”
“A present?” Fey seemed very interested all of a sudden. “What kind of present?”
“It’s gonna be a surprise,” Teo said. “And first you have to win.”
Fey grinned, but then that grin faded, and she took up the thread from her nightgown again. Her voice was very quiet when she finally said: “They told us about the war in school today.”
“Oh.” Teo and Dexter exchanged a glance.
“Well, what did you talk about?” Dexter asked.
“Basically what you already told me. And they said we shouldn’t worry. But they said it in the way grown-ups say it when they are very worried. Like when Pops burned those pancakes and then the fire watch had to come.”
Dexter couldn’t prevent himself from chuckling at that. Fey grinned as well, despite herself. Teo sighed. “Well, you also remember what I did after that happened, right?”
“You screamed a bunch at the burning pancakes,” she said.
“And after that?”
“You carried me outside.”
“I kept you safe, didn’t I?”
Fey nodded.
“And that’s what I’m doing now as well,” Teo explained.
“I know.” Fey hesitated before she said even more quietly: “I’m scared. I’m scared for you.”
Teo put a hand to her chin and gently tilted it up, so she was looking at him. “I promise I’ll come back,” he said, ignoring the very concerned look Dexter gave him.
Fey looked at him. Something in her expression relaxed and she leaned closer for a hug. Teo hugged back, embracing her in his arms. He wondered how much bigger she would be when he came back. How much of her growth he would miss, moments none of them would never get back. He wished just as much as Fey and Dexter that he could stay with them, but he knew he couldn’t. Hugging Fey close, feeling her small body in his arms, he knew that he needed to protect her and keep the war as far away from her as possible.
“Do you want to see your Dad’s work before you go to bed?” Teo asked.
Fey’s eyes were gleaming now. She was never allowed near the forge or the weapons. She looked at Dexter, who sighed in an exaggerated way. “It’s not much so far.” He got up and picked the axe head up from the anvil so Fey could better see it.
“Your Dad wanted it to have only one blade, but it has a really nice shape like this, doesn’t it?” Teo said.
“Don’t you drag her into this argument!” Dexter said.
“It’s pretty,” Fey said. “Looks like a butterfly.”
Dexter looked back at the axe head with furrowed brow. “You have a very interesting idea of butterflies, sweetie.”
Teo chuckled. “I think it fits. It’s a beautiful weapon.”
“It’s not even finished.”
“Yes, but you are the one making it, so that is a given.”
“There’s a fine line between being smooth and being sappy, and you, dear, are constantly trampling all over it.” Then Dexter turned to Fey: “And you, young lady, should really go back to bed now.”
Fey pouted. “Can we play another game of dragonchess first?” she asked Teo. “I came up with a really good strategy.”
“Your Dad is right,” Teo said. “It’s way past your bedtime, and you have school tomorrow.”
“I bet I can beat you in five minutes!”
“Well, we’ll see about that tomorrow,” Teo smirked and lifted her off his lap to the floor. Fey pouted but then accepted her lot.
“Good night, Pops, good night, Dad,” she said and then ran out of the forge, leaving the door wide open behind her. As her quiet footsteps faded out completely, Dexter turned to Teo: “You know she’s going to ask me about that surprise present forever.”
“Well, that is the burden you will have to bear,” Teo smirked.
“Do you have anything planned yet?”
“Like I said, first she’ll have to win.”
“I was under the assumption that you would let her.”
“I only ever let her win if she has a good strategy,” Teo said. “You are the one who always loses on purpose.”
“Which is why she apparently thinks that I am horrible at this game,” Dexter sighed. “Better than her being offended, I assume.”
“Maybe you could help me with her surprise present?” Teo suggested.
“Teo, I will not make a weapon for our daughter!” Dexter seemed outraged despite knowing that Teo was joking. “She is nine!”
“I was ten when I first used an axe.”
“To split wood! That is very different.”
“Besides, she might be a lot older when I return.”
A heavy silence fell over the room. Dexter took Teo’s hand again.
“I’ve been thinking about that a lot,” Teo said. “How much of her childhood I will miss. The most important years of her life, and I won’t be here for it...”
Dexter ran his thumb over Teo’s knuckles. “We’ll write you. I’ll tell her to write about anything that’s happening. I’ll write about every millimeter that she grows and all her grades, even if she’ll hate me for that. I won’t let you miss that.”
Teo smiled weakly. “I hope I’ll have lots of opportunities to send those letters. You can never know.”
Dexter sighed and then couldn’t stifle a yawn. “How late is it, anyway?” He rolled his shoulders back.
“Little past midnight, I would say.”
Dexter looked shocked. “I didn’t know I’d been working for so long.”
“That’s why I brought the snacks.”
“And Fey being awake for this long… I know it’s an exceptional situation, but I just hope we’ll even get her out of bed tomorrow. I can’t believe I have been working for more than six hours without a break.” He stretched his arms. “No wonder my back hurts like hell.”
“Hey, relax, I’ll take care of Fey tomorrow. You can sleep in. Do you want a massage?” Teo was already standing up, walked behind his chair and laid his hands to his shoulders.
“You are amazing, honey.” Dexter leaned back, closing his eyes and relaxing as Teo started kneading his shoulders. “I must look like hell, too,” he mused after a while.
Teo leaned down and kissed him on the cheek. “You look hot.”
Dexter smirked. “Do you mean that in the way where I should open a window, or in the way where you want to open my pants?”
Teo chuckled. “Why don’t we take this somewhere more comfortable?” he murmured against Dexter’s ear.
“Fine, but you still owe me the rest of that massage,” Dexter said and pulled Teo in for a kiss. Dexter tasted like soot and warmth, like sweat and honey-sweet chamomile tea and a day spent at the forge. He tasted like home.
