So sad to hear that Olli Wisdom passed away today. Happy Birthday Poly Styrene!! Such a bright flame! I took these photos at CBGB’s March 1978 at I believe was X-Ray Spex only US shows. Took a 3 day Greyhound bus from LA to NYC to see this show since they were not coming to the West coast and I couldn’t miss seeing them since I was obsessed with there music and just had to see them live. Love how Poly came on stage with a lunch box and her rolled up ankle socks so check out that photo. Got right up against the stage and loved every minute . Happy Birthday Marc Bolan! I was hooked the minute I saw the first album cover and put it on my turntable in my college dorm . Took acid and never heard anything like it before. Marc’s unique voice and Middle Earth lyrics ( thanks for the lyrics sheets inside the first 3 albums!!) struck a cord with me that lasted his entire career.
