man it really is sad breakdown always gets reduced to the "big strong uglier dumb one" a lot because it makes KOBD as a ship feel like knock out is just pity dating him and is the obvious favorite. or i'll see it outside of shipping context and it makes me wonder where this interpretation even came from since breakdown is very similar to knock out in attitude, he just lacks the flamboyancy breakdown loves one liners, hes cocky and competitive, sweet and gentle when given the chance, observant and pretty trusting. hes so much more complex than Big Dumb Guy, its a genuine tragedy he didnt get his time to shine let him be sweet! let knock out be in love with him! let him have his time to be his own character! there is no KOBD without BD!

Small single Wavwave headcanon I have is that if Soundwave and Shockwave are sleeping together after a hard day, Soundwave will play science noises like tapping on a testube, soft drilling noises, sounds of something being written down, etc. to make Shockwave sleep better.

Basically he just plays a Science ASMR video and Shockwave instantly gets knocked out.

optimus prime is such a good character when done right that it makes me feel incomprehensible pain when he is fumbled. he represents compassion, the strength to do good, he is the light when all else seems dark, he is strategic but not emotionless, he listens to those around him and wishes to do whats right for the sake of everyone, dreadfully self-sacrificial because hes lived a life feeling protection is his only role. hes optimus fucking prime and i love him
