So, so, okay, the story of Shredder is one well known throughout the multiverse by now, as well as its differences between different turtle dimensions so we're focusing on your dimension right now. He made a deal with an Oni to save the clan, and the Foot Clan broke off into the Hamato Clan, so they're technically the same clan that went off in some WILDLY different directions, yeah?

So your gram-gram, Karai, said Shredder, or rather Orokusaki, made a deal with an Oni, but her memories she showed (don't ask) revealed that the Oni in question was actually a Kraang, right? So a Kraang gave Orokusaki the Dark Armour, and it basically possessed him. But we know that Orokusaki and Shredder are two different beings, one is the spirit of the Dark Armour and the other a man who was desperate to save his clan. Shredder has this whole pinkish thing going on with him and immense power that took the whole Hamato clan to beat LEON

huh. i don't think you realize how weird it is finding out parts of my life i thought were secret are actually very common knowledge apparently. that's a lot to unpack so i'm throwing out the suitcase.

we did talk to grams more when we could find the time so at least the oni/krang thing isn't a surprise. we can't really know for sure but krang possession/infection has been my guess too.

I would like to take this time to appreciate what shredder was doing for many Kids back in the 90s....this man took unwanted youths that had no one to turn to, no place to go and decided to take it upon himself to bring these lost souls in. He hooked these kids up with the meanest game room you could ever imagine in your life, taught them discipline, and showed them the ways of the ninja while fulfilling all their hearts desires.
