The experimental job is so important to me actually though because Eliot loves hardison!! The entire episode before they take hardison is spent showing that Eliot regrets the things he's done and that he is still capable of it but he actively chooses not to do that again because he walked away from that life.

And then hardison is in danger.

And all of that goes out the window.

Because the truth is that Eliot will do those things again if the people he loves need him. Because he is not a Good tm person, he chooses to do good but if that conflicts with the people he swore to protect, implicitly or explicitly, that doesn't matter anymore. ("We do the things they can't...won't")

I've been thinking about what if Parker and Eliot worked together before meeting Hardison ever since reading one post.

Anyway, I was just thinking of it again and...

Eliot knows his relationship with Parker is different, they've had time to bond and stuff. He trusts her, she's the only person he tolerates invading his space. But he's unwilling/not ready to admit that it might be something more.

Parker on the other hand thinks they're dating.

Que Harrison meeting them and witnessing them interacting. And he asks Eliot if him and Parker are dating.

Eliot: "Why would you think that?"

Parker: "We're not dating?" - she's not angry, just confused that she misinterpreted things.

I am still thinking about how in Leverage: redemption, Eliot tells Sophie that she and Nate are walking second chances even when people don't deserve it. And it's like.

Eliot says this because they gave Eliot a second chance and he still doesn't think he deserves it. Because he doesn't think he can be redeemed.

And he probably holds this opinion about Hardison and Parker as well, because they also gave him a second chance and they continue to believe that he is good. Even when he can't tell them about things he's done ("Don't ask me that Parker, because if you ask, I'll tell you") they just accept it. And I just. ughhhhh
