There was only a beginning, never an end.
>An office worker trapped looping his building, no matter what he does its never over
>The organisers, curators and the voice over it all, they built it up and made it but now it can never end
>A person in love with machines, so he became one with them and now roams endlessly
>A janitor who needed money, cleaning endlessly as the action never ceases
>There was the place they entered, an office but it never stops, no matter how far you venture there is no end
Never an end, only a beginning. Then over and over. A beginning of the book but the pages never stop turning.

If Mari and Otis got to hang out how do you think that would go 👀
I think it's a 50/50 between either they get along great or just Otis wants to leave immediately.
50/50 might be too even actually, they'd probably get along well. Otis is intrigued by science and experiments and would most likely offer himself as it could be interesting for Mari since he doesn't exactly regenerate immediately like most others in the parable. They'd probably bond over shit talking people tbh, like two sassy wine aunts just insulting everyone that happens to walk past them. Also funny little thought of Mari wanting to see him so she just kills Stanley so Otis has to appear and is just like sat there waiting trying to look all sweet.

"If she has this he won't want me as much right?"
Little does the man know, this will just amplify the obsession
I don't really know why he likes seeing me so much, but I swear i heard her mention bunnies or something. Maybe it'll make her less murderous to see me. I mean I may have slipped in more things I like than what she does but hopefully it'll be alright.

The chorus is giving most tsp characters/ocs and it is causing me physical pain.
"(What could he do? Should have been a father) But he never even made it to his twenties"
Mostly fits Stanley, however for a little bit of I like torturing myself lets say it's the Narrator; he was a person once, with family and goals before everything fell apart.
Honestly oc wise it could also fit with Otis, I think the entire song does. He should've been a lot of things, but instead he ended up in this place, no choice in the matter, he just needed the money from the job.
As the Janitor he also has to clean up after himself, he dies like the rest but he doesn't immediately respawn unharmed. He has to clean up his own corpse, look at himself half dead until he fixes himself and slowly begins to "reload" fixing the wounds.
Maybe he still has family somewhere, he doesn't know, if he thinks too hard he breaks, his body and mind breaks down until his reload. His only purpose now is to serve the Parable.

Am I too lazy to draw right now? yes Am I having many art ideas some of which of characters? also yes When he first entered the Parable he had no clue anything about it, other than vague mentions here and there of a game. For the first while he walked around aimlessly, just exploring. After a while he discovered his favourite room, one full of stars and bright lights in a rainbow of colours; he would often find himself sitting there, trying to ignore the feeling of eyes burning into him. One day he was watching his "stars" and heard footsteps, when he went to see what it was there was a man on the floor.. above him stairs climbed almost to he roof. Otis stood there, watching the blood pool, "There was a way to die? Can I leave?" but as he stood there the same man who was on the floor was making noise outside; something about a Narrator?
As days went on it kept happening, no matter where he went this office worker man was dead somewhere; if Otis checked again later the body would be gone but any "leftovers" were still there. The same man, over and over. It started to feel like whenever they crossed paths the man was dead but after a while it became unsightly to him, seeing piles of blood and organs. So he cleaned, he gagged and hissed as his clothes soaked up the blood, well at first he did. It never stopped, there was nothing new in this Parable; only loop after loop. Now it doesn't bother him, he just cleans, it doesn't mean anything. He's just tired.

Knowing at least one person thinks about my characters outside of our interaction is so cool, like there's someone who likes them and thinks about them enough to be able to have headcanons and associate them with things, like they dont just exist when i think abt them
Got me kicking my feet n shi 🫀🫀🫀🫀

Gave my son some more trauma, feeling good
What's the point of having a character if you don't make aus and alternative versions where they have succumbed to various events you've put them through.
- Base model Otis
- Broken!Otis
What will come next
Probably cupcake if it was a rich woman's chihuahua

Did Otis ever find catharsis in cleaning?
To scrub the walls and floor, eliminating them of putrescence and impurity?
Or is the task, the responsibility, arduous and burdensome?
When he was outside of the Parable he used to find it cathartic because it was more by choice, it was the same when he first entered the Parable but now it's less by choice that he does what he does. At this point, it's become a bit of a burden to scrub at impurities, but he hates looking at mess, so he does it. He likes to have things organised in his own way. He likes a schedule, but with Stanley, he doesn't get one which makes him somewhat despise Stanley. He's beginning to see Stanley as the impurity and as a putrid form of torment.

I wanna put Otis in a microwave and spin him around a bit.
OKAY BUT ACTUALLY, question I like to ask about a lot of TSP related characters— does he have any form of attachment to the parable? Would he leave, and not come back, if presented with the opportunity to do so?
He would probably let you icl.
If given the opportunity to leave the parable I think he would stay. He hates being bound to it and being linked to Stanley's more gorey endings but it also holds some sense of comfort for him. It's consistent most days and watching the lives of other people in the parable is interesting to him, he likes the routine as well. While being tired and somewhat annoyed at constantly being dragged to clean up after people he likes having a purpose.

Huh... Stanley you look so pale, you've lost your voice have you? Heart suddenly not so brave hm~ Take mine then.
Blood was dripping from the cavity in his chest as Otis reached out a hand, offering his heart, "Be brave Stanley, have a brave heart~ You look so scared, Stanley, oh whatever is the matter? You're not the only one allowed to make mess boy, I clean them anyway, don't I? Nothing ever affects you. You never have to deal with this mess. You still won't. The only difference is that now you have to look at it for a while.
------------------------->
It was bound to get to him after a while, infinitely a slave to Stanley, cleaning up his messes. Broken!Otis
