Tonight concludes my month cooking from “Jerusalem,” the cookbook by @ottolenghi and @sami_tamimi. The homemade falafel was really lovely, and helped along by the fact that I made the mixture and then promptly forgot it in the fridge for a few days. So the flavors developed and amplified. I’m also remembering how much I love Israeli-style salads of chopped cucumber and tomato, and this marks the very first time I have made hummus!
