Do you remember that little hashtag I started a while ago? #ourstudiotime 🤍 I have been really enjoying following the hashtag and all the brilliant works of art you all have been sharing under the tag. I have decided to share my favourites of the month on the blog. I plan to do this more often. Every month :) On the blog today, I have featured images from @earthensalt @mollystroud74 @roshanutt @christinebayleskortsch @peppysunhandmade @_flowarte @taraleaver and a brilliant video by @lizvidalceramics ✨ I hope you will enjoy following it along as much as I enjoyed curating this month's favourites. What are your favourite hashtags to follow on Instagram? Is there a one that you find yourself click-through and finding inspiration from quite often? https://instagr.am/p/B-xESiUJmAd/

So it's been 1 year in the new Studio and these are the first proper photos I'm sharing! This was on a tidy day a few months ago. It's amazing what the right space can do for your creativity... I remember when I went from the kitchen/spare room with no natural light, to a dedicated room for my jewellery making and the creativity that gushed out that first year (now 7 years ago!). This studio has been more about the most efficient/productive use of space (I've acquired rather a lot of *toys* since that first move & I literally race around my Studio at times). Also, about light! On a gloomy autumn day, I love spending the day in my little "daylight hub". I will share a little more about the workshop soon - about designing the space and a fun picture log of my transitioning work spaces in the last 9!!! years. Here's to finding the right creative space for all of us! #behindthescenes #silversmithing #workshop #studiodesign #jewellersbench #jewellersofinstagram #jewellerymaking #smallbusiness #shopindie #shopindependent #etsyseller #etsyuk #metalsmith #handmadebusiness #madebyhand #calledtobecreative #makerlife #makersmovement #modernmaker #peoplescreatives #jewelryworkshop #creativespace #creativeliving #lifeofacreative #workspaceinspo #workspaces #makersbiz #makerspace #indiebusiness #OURSTUDIOTIME (at Brighton and Hove) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3-HRa3nVSK/?igshid=1f8pebqig343h

I am back from an unexpected break from the internet and I see lots of new faces here. Hello, there! Thank you for choosing to come along for the ride. Super grateful to have you here! What better time to re-introduce myself :) ✨Hi, I'm Hira, the face behind this feed. I'm an artist and creative coach. I love reading, learning and researching all about creativity and courage. This online venture allows me to set the terms in my own unique, messy and human way. Most importantly, it allows me to model it for creative humans like yourself and hopefully makes you feel less alone and more hopeful in your journey too. ✨I am a fan of quiet. Massively introverted. I love finding time to do nothing and just be. Observe. Nature, woods, and wildflowers are on top of the list of my obsessions. ✨I am a multi-passionate creative and my approach to creativity is quite inter-disciplinary. I have experience in designing jewelry, accessories, fashion statement pieces, footwear, interior, and graphic design. No surprise there as I don't like to fit myself in a box. It’s exciting to find new ways of challenging myself and learning new things along the way too. ✨Nowadays, I like to spend my time painting and exploring the realms of digital illustration. This year I started a 366 day project @ayearwithhira to commit to exploring it in ways I'd like to. ✨I love connecting with other creative humans and learning about their stories of how they are creating and making things happen in their own way. If you enjoy listening to something similar too, the first season of Living Your Truth podcast were stories of 10 other creative beings. I'm sure you'll find lots of nuggets of inspiration and wisdom in those stories. Have we met before? I'd love to know a little more about you too! And I wanted to take a sec to say Thank you to all those who were worried about me being gone :) I wasn't planning on disappearing but it felt like something I needed at the moment to stay sane in the midst of all the chaos and be fully present wherever I was. It feels so so good to be back though! x #ourstudiotime https://ift.tt/2TjgFlb

'Process is where the magic happens' @giuliawrites said these words during our conversation about figuring things out as we go for #livingyourtruthpodcast and they resonated with me so very deeply. Isn't that the truth? But we are all so caught up in having to figure it all out, have a plan in place and this doesn't leave space for that playtime where the magic actually happens. Her story is a brilliant example of what it looks like when you are in the middle of it all. When you don't know exactly where you are headed to but you are still holding space for joy and allowing yourself the time and space for your truth to come to life through you. I'm curious what is it like for you? Are you holding that space for curiosity, joy, and playtime in your life? . (Curious like a cat, maybe?!) . In this episode, we talked about her journey of leaving a dream corporate job, travelling for a year and then finally slowing down to sit with her thoughts, figure out what she'd rather love doing. We also talked about the power of stories and how sharing our true not so perfect messy parts can empower others to see what's possible for them too. We talked a lot about the process and how going through the process and the discomfort is inevitable if you wish to deviate from the should do's in your life. My conversation with Giulia made me realize how even though we both grew up in different cultures but are so very alike and have similar kinds of struggles. I hope our experiences resonate with yours too! You can find the link in Bio :) #livingyourtruthpodcast #livingmytruthquietly #ourstudiotime https://ift.tt/2KvfTfO

I believe in the power of stories. I really do believe, owning our stories and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do. Sharing our stories and all that messy middle not only allows us to hold space for our own truths but it also works like permission to others who might be thinking of something similar but aren't yet finding the courage to embrace it. You don't have to be extra-ordinary for your story to matter. Listening to these stories myself and connecting with such brilliant creative humans made me learn quite a few things, made me feel less alone and more hopeful. And now, I am so very excited to share this hope with you all too! There are three episodes waiting for you to dive in now and over the weekend Ep. 01 Owning Our Stories with Hira Sameer Ahmed Ep. 02 Reconnecting with Creativity with Sarah Fraser @novelandkind Ep. 03 Doing the work and building creative confidence with Jill Dimond Art @jilldimondart You can now find 'Living Your Truth' in the apple podcasts, stitcher, spotify and other podcast players. Find the Link in Bio :) More than anything, I hope it holds space for you to define success on your own terms and give you permission to follow your curiosity. Your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. You are allowed to carve a path of your own on your own terms, in your own way and in your own time. I can't wait to hear what resonated the most with you! #livingyourtruthpodcast #livingmytruthquietly #ourstudiotime https://ift.tt/32R6DJx

It’s happening.It’s happening! 🎉 . It feels like I have been going on and on about the podcast for past few weeks here on Instagram. But to tell you the truth... it has been in the making for past two years. Well at least the idea of it. It had been ruminating at the back of my head all this time until now. I guess I just needed to reach a point where making it happen became more important than all those fears and stories that had been holding me back. And I’m so glad to finally be able to put it out there in the world. I’ll be writing more about those stories I was telling myself on the blog this week but for now I am so very happy to share... There will be three episodes ready for you to dive into tomorrow. I’ll be starting with my own story of finding my truth and owning my story... and the other two stories are a surprise ;) Until then, any wild guesses? Don’t forget to subscribe. I promise, it’ll be worth your time 💛 You can now find 'Living Your Truth' in the apple podcasts, stitcher and Spotify. If you search for it, you'll find a trailer (40 seconds long) to give you an insight into what the show is going to be all about. You know where to find the link :) #livingyourtruthpodcast #livingmytruthquietly #ourstudiotime https://ift.tt/2Xdf2pk

A little bit of sunshine before we onto the cold and dark winters✨ For me, light symbolizes hope. My hope with this first season of the podcast is to bring stories and lived experiences of people to make each and every one of you to feel less alone in your struggles and more hopeful in your own journey. Your lived experience and how far you have made with what you had matters more. Listening to these stories myself and connecting with such brilliant creative humans made me learn quite a few things, made me feel less alone and more hopeful. And now, I am so very excited to share this hope with you all too! You can now find 'Living Your Truth' in the apple podcasts and stitcher. If you search for it, you'll find a trailer (40 seconds long) to give you an insight into what the show is going to be all about. Have a listen and don't forget to subscribe as there will be three episodes coming your way this Friday 15th November. You can find the link in my bio :) Have you already had a listen? Tell me, what do you think? #livingyourtruthpodcast #livingmytruthquietly #ourstudiotime https://ift.tt/2pbxqCm

I am back. I am back. From my trip and to my desk. Vacation officially ends today. I had the most refreshing, resting, slow and much needed weekend after a long interrail adventure. As always whenever I am away, taking a break, on a vacation or just simply trying to minimize my minutes spent on this little app of wonders, I find it hard to pick up where I left of. In my head, I wonder how do I connect the dots for the community after such a long absence. This concern came up while chatting to my husband yesterday and his answer made me see how simple it can be and I don't have to over-complicate it. 'Start anywhere. It doesn't matter. Pick any one thread and continue on with that and see where it leads you' How simple and reassuring in a way. Here's a permission slip for me and for you too to feel ready to start wherever we can today and have the best possible kind of work-from-home-Monday. This week has so many exciting opportunities for me to connect with wonderful humans for the LYT podcast episode recordings that I scheduled before leaving. I'm so looking forward to that. So tell me, what have you been upto? What did I miss? What are you looking forward to? #ourstudiotime https://ift.tt/35NVMm9

I started a hashtag a while back #ourstudiotime and it has turned to be an incredible collection of so many amazing works of art in such a little time. As of now, there are 2 thousand 8 hundred plus images. How amazing is that. Instagram continues to inspire me. I find myself clicking over the hashtag and seeing what the creative community on Instagram is been up to especially when I am feeling uninspired and lacking motivation. They always end up lighting a fire in my belly. I thought of sharing these nuggets of inspiration to spark your day too. Hashtags are a great way to connect with like-minded people and find a community that you fit right in. It is a great way of building long-lasting meaningful connections and friendships. Now you can also click and follow the hashtags. I am planning to curate a list of month’s favourite from now onwards every month here on the blog.
Here are a few of my favourites from the month of March:
@earthensalt
@mollystroud74
@roshanutt
@christinebayleskortsch

Lastly, this mesmerizing video by @lizvidalceramics
If you’d like to learn more about the hashtag, I’ve shared all the details here in this post. I’d love for you to join in and share your creations with the rest of us too.
What are your favourite hashtags to follow on Instagram? Is there a one that you find yourself click-through and finding inspiration from quite often?
Pin for Later:
Every other Sunday I write and share personal letters with my community. They are an amalgamation of personal stories and insights around building a creative work and life practice that would work for you. I’d love for you to come and join the inner circle.
