I decided to check on 'Miss Thomasina Thomason', our 'Resident Female Toad', since I was downstairs when there was still daylight outside. For those that don't know or remember, we found her last year living in our 'Basement Escape Hatch'. 💚 We hadn't had an opportunity to see her this year; but I looked today & she's still living there. She's our closest 'Nextdoor Neighbor' & 'Living Rent Free' in our 'Backyard'. We don't mind because she has definitely become a very much loved 'Family Member'. She is awesome & she eats all the things that hurt my 'Flowers & Vegetables' & that try to 'Bite & or Slime' me. 💚 She's looks a bit skinny this year. I think she needs to go get ready for 'Hibernation' by eating a ton of food. Maybe last year she had some 'Babies Swimming In Her Belly' & that's why she was a bit more 'Plump' last year. Maybe she made a 'New Years Resolution' & then called "Jenny" & 'Lost It All' on purpose. Who knows? She does looks beautiful & amazing right now. I was so happy to see her. She was equally ecstatic to see me too. Anyway, we are happy to have seen her and to know that she is still okay out there. She must like us too if she has been willing to stay with us for so long already. I feel like most 'Toads' move on; but she knows she is 'Part Of The Family' & that we love her & apparently she loves us back. 💚 Last year I decorated her 'Habitat' a little. I think she likes my 'Creative Home Styling & Decorating Skills'. She seems really happy & 'Grateful To Be Alive' on this 'Beautiful Sunny Day'. I wonder if our 'Birdie Friend', the female 'Finch', who moved into our 'Flower Box' this Spring will come back next 'Spring'? I wonder if she has met 'Thomasina'. I think they could be 'Great Friends'. I couldn't be more thankful for the last year of Forest School with our BAFs! Having a solid commitment of once a week adventures in nature has not only taught Dragon an endless amount of skills and All the things, but it is my mental health lifeline. This last year, hell the last several years have been a huge struggle for me and being out in nature is what gets me out of bed in the morning. It's so much easier to get out when you've committed to someone else that you'll be there. And bonus to having that special family join you, is the Magic 🪄 ✨ they bring every week to Forest School! They spoil us with baked treats, fantastical stories around campfires, imaginations to build fairy villages and big foot traps. Listening ears, kind hearts, encouraging cheerleaders, amazing book suggestions and not just companionship but true friendship through the good, the bad and the anxiety attacks.
