It’s still dark outside when you wake to the electronic beeping of the gun lock box in your closet opening.

It’s biometric, opening only to Tim’s fingers, so when you roll over to find his side of bed empty and cold, your sleep-addled brain catches up to what you already know.

“Tim?”

He appears like a dream in the closet doorframe, hard lines illuminated by soft lighting - already dressed, gun holster straps hugging his weary shoulders and tight muscles.

Securing his firearm in its place beneath his arm, Tim comes to kneel by your side of the bed, face apologetic and voice gentle, “Didn’t mean to wake you, Shutterbug. Just have go in to work for a bit, okay?”

“Is it dangerous?” your voice small and sleepy, eyes still half closed but full of worry.

“Night shift just needs a little back up is all,” the detective says reassuringly, cradling your head in his warm paw, soothing your temple with his thumb.

He knows you know that he’s purposefully not answering, unwilling to lie; you both know that it’s always dangerous. Your body starts to stir, waking to the realities of the type of things that have the power to pull your loving boyfriend from your warm bed.  Tim knows that you’ll always worry for him, but he won’t steal any more peaceful sleep from you than he already has, so he tries another tactic.

“You remember what you said when we went to sleep last night?”

“What did I say?” You remember perfectly.

Hi Nina. So I've finally decided to pack my shit up and tap into the void. I've been trying for a few months now. I've tried everything including subliminals, (I've legit listened to subs for 24 hrs straight) guided meditations, affirmation tapes, challenges, mind reprogramming exercises, affirming a couple thousand times, psych k, alpha meditation, lucid dreaming, tapping in using awake methods like staying still for over 2 hours, sleep paralysis, etc.

But I've observed that I'm not very consistent/persistent with any of these methods and so for once I've decided to make a routine and stick to it. Also, whenever I usually come across any challenge, I tend to follow it but find myself wondering if I would need anymore methods, so I include a couple more additional methods by my own cause I think the challenge might not be enough and I keep doing this, but then it gets exhausting and draining and sometimes i leave it halfway.

So now that I've decided to stick to one plan finally, what do u think I should add to my routine? Which methods do u recommend me using? Thankyou so much💖 also I'm very exciteddd for ur challenge!!

Hi!! i’m so glad that you came to this realization.

in my experience routines just hold you back. It just gets your mind used to doing these methods and not getting any where and when you are consistently doing these methods you will, for the most part (and for most people including myself) not see results. Creating a habit and a routine just gets your mind used to doing methods and not seeing progress and that’s exactly what you’re going to see every time you do your “routine”

So what I suggest you do is loop my void state subliminal or my lucid dreaming subliminal either before bed or overnight and just lie down in a comfortable position talk to yourself in your head and truly get yourself to understand just how simple it is and that you do not need to do anything at all in order to tap into the void state because it’s just that simple and that the only reason you have not been able to tap in is because you’ve been over complicating it and limiting yourself. I know it seems difficult to just automatically switch your belief but I promise once you just go through with it and allow yourself to make it a simple process it will be.

There’s no need for any extravagant methods you don’t need to do any rituals before you enter the void the only thing I would suggest you do before meditate because it’s always great to go in with a calm and clear and a positive mentality.
