I’m a “Pizza Simulator” truther, it’s just the best one, though I’ll be honest “Help wanted 2” has really risen through the ranks for me, its probably my second favourite (that might update if the DLC pops off)

📝 • i always find it crazy when people are talking about the girls’ traumas and totally forgetting that they were in an actual plane crash and torn away from their families to be trapped in the wilderness for 19 months. like obviously they don’t forget but it’s almost always a background thing to their friends’ deaths etc. and i’m like dude !!! that would be enough to grant them full immunity to do whatever tf they want in my eyes sorryyy sorry

#22.4 Result

Even though his team had more members, Khun did not anticipate the speedster in Agni's team who managed to steal the princesses' tags in just a few seconds. Basically leave half of his team's fishermen immobile right from the start.

Khun managed to stop Dan with lighthouse flow control, and Rak was able to steal Dan's black tag. Yet Agni managed to undo the flow control and free Dan before Rak could take back the tags that Dan had stolen.

Endorsi was then given Laure's tag and fought with Gyetang, while Anaak was given Shibisu's tag and fought Agni along with Rak. Ran didn't lose his tag and had been countering Novick since the start of the game. Surprisingly, they seemed to be on par with each other. Khun didn't know who won by the end, since he was too busy trying to catch Dan, who managed to steal Hatz's tag at one point. 

Suddenly, his lighthouse was no longer being interfered with by Agni, and only then he saw that Endorsi had joined hands to fight Agni after rendering Gyetang immobile. With Agni's attention diverted by three main powers, Khun was finally able to immobilize Dan. However, he only managed to retrieve one white tag, since all the other stolen tags were already handed over. He gave the white tag to Hatz to get him back into the game, but by that time Gyetang was also back on his feet, so they were sent to fight each other.

Ten minutes went by too fast. Khun slumped to the floor and finally took some deep breaths. Clearly, Agni's team didn't go easy on them, and he was lucky enough to keep his tag. 

"I see you've given your best." Agni said as he caught Ran in his arms before he fell face flat onto the floor. Ran must've swallowed the lightning pill halfway through the fight, and Khun didn't really know how to feel about that.

Khun looked up to the second floor balcony where Bam and Grace were talking. He could feel the corner of his lips pull up when he saw Bam looking bashful as Grace ruffled his hair.

"Gather up everyone," Agni called them, still holding Ran's limp body. He looked like he was about to pass out himself, though. Handling both princesses and Rak all by himself while still assisting his other team members was really impressive in Khun's opinion, even if it was only for ten minutes. 

Everyone, including Agni's team, sat down in a loose circle, exceptions being Ran who was laid down in front of Agni and being tended to, and Laure who was sleeping soundly on the floor behind Hatz. Most of the others looked worn out and some were even hiding a limp, but the moment Gyetang and Dan started to excitedly recount and compliment everyone, his team was easily drawn into the conversation.

Bam and Grace came to join them a moment later, bringing bottled water and a first aid kit. Grace offered to check on each one of them, which unsurprisingly started from Agni. Though Khun declined his offer when it was his turn. He didn't get any bone-shattering hits, so he was fine. Grace didn't look happy with it, but he moved on.

Meanwhile, Bam distributed the water, bandages and ointment. Then he decided to go sit near him and Rak, to Khun's delight. It felt like their missing puzzle piece was finally fitted back into place. 

"It's nice…to be with everyone again." Bam mumbled to himself, yet Khun heard him clearly. And so did their friends, who were looking at Bam wistfully.

Bam was holding his knees that were folded close to his chest, making him look small and closed up. Golden eyes were shadowed from view by his long bangs. It was like there was still an invisible wall that divided him from everyone else, keeping him unreachable. Khun itched to touch him, to get rid of that wall and pull Bam back to him, to what they used to have.

There was so much yet so little to talk about, and Khun felt himself hesitating, especially with this many eyes on Bam. He finally understood why Agni set the tag prizes as is.

Khun touched Bam's arm with his fist, and smiled tiredly when Bam turned his head at him. "It's good to have you back, Bam." 

Many emotions flashed in those golden eyes; disbelief, fear, sadness, hurt, longing, relief, joy. Even though he had heard the story from Bam, Khun still couldn't imagine how much suffering Bam had gone through during all those years they were apart. How lonely he must be, and there was nothing Khun could do to fix what had been done. But when Bam finally smiled back, crooked like he just fixed himself back together, Khun vowed that he'd never let anyone take anything away from Bam ever again.

While I recognise that the portrayal of Mrs Bennet in Pride and Prejudice (1995) is far from faithful to her character in the novel and it arguably did irreparable damage to how she is perceived by the general public... I really love Alison Steadman so, personally, I can overlook the inaccuracies and enjoy her performance.

Admittedly, it's entirely because of a British sitcom called Gavin and Stacey; her character in that is a similarly frazzled mother, so I sort of view her interpretation of Mrs Bennet as RegencyAU!Pam from Gavin and Stacey rather than an attempt to be a faithful portrayal of book!Mrs Bennet.

She's an amazing actress with great comedic timing and many quotable lines. Two of my favourites from Gavin and Stacey are:

I mean, I can totally imagine Mrs Bennet getting some juicy Meryton gossip and exclaiming, 'it's all the drama, Mr Bennet. I just love it!' while he ignores her completely and carries on reading...

anon thanks for sending that comment re: biphobia in a recently reblogged daniil-eva comic, I appreciate that you did decide to message me about it! absolutely my bad. that's a blind spot for me as a bisexual who calls myself gay a lot of the time (although, seeing op's tags should have clarified they were depicting the two as not bisexual), but the real-world harm in showing a gay man and gay woman together is something I should've been attentive to, especially with the gender dynamic in Eva being the canonically bi character. rb deleted, I'll be keeping it in mind in the future 👍

when writing for characters always take a bit of extra time to ensure they sound good? thinking about having an actual conversation with them for a minute and what they’d do! ♧ personally a big fan of viginettes since that reveals a lot of a character more than mainstory.

Some school districts are picking phonics back up! After enough research was done showing the previous way of teaching reading/English was shit some districts have overhauled their curriculum to go back to teaching phonics.

Unfortunately a lot of the burden to create this new curriculum does fall on to individual teachers/teams, which means that it’s not necessarily consistent. But it’s only been a few years that this change has been going on, so I have hope that future students will get better instruction than the ‘’’sound it out by individual letters’’’ that my generation was given.

It’s a travesty that the previous students were failed this way but things are getting better!

Steve never actually says no.

He doesn’t say yes but he doesn’t outright refuse Eddie’s offer either. He clearly didn’t take it seriously because he kinda laughs at him and then goes to class, but he didn’t say no.

Eddie could let it go. He should actually let it go. Steve is everything he hates in the world but the cassette in his pocket is burning a hole inside him.

He spends the rest of the day thinking of chord progressions that he could play over the track on the tape, and then declares right before Hellfire, “I’m adding a new member to the band.”

“…Do you maybe want to consult the rest of the band?”

“Nope.”

And yeah, okay. Steve didn’t say yes and maybe he’s being a little forward showing up on his front porch with an offer for an, “Audition? You want me to audition for your band.”

Steve is leaning against the doorframe of his front door with his preppy polo and his arms crossed, raising an eyebrow at Eddie and the rest of the CC boys. He asks, “Didn’t you guys play the talent show and sucked?”

“No,” Eddie replies. “We played the talent show and rocked. Want in?”

Steve doesn’t give an answer because his mom passes by and scolds him for not inviting his guests in (Eddie thinks she just wants them off her porch). The conversation doesn’t pick up again until they’re in Steve’s music room (basement) and he asks, “If I was interested, what instrument are you trying to add?”

Eddie asks, “What instrument do you play?”

“Play well or play good?”

“Yeah,” Eddie grins. “Yeah, I’m gonna love this.”

Musical prodigy Steve, who is way too casual about this gift. He plays seven instruments and could read sheet music before he could spell his own name, and literally never mentions it.

He has perfect pitch and can perfectly replicate a song he’s heard once on the radio. If you gave him an instrument he’s never played before and an hour, he’d made something beautiful out of it. And no one knows.

Well, some people know.

His mom still signs him up for recitals and performances out of state, but Steve never talks about it. He just says he has something to do with him mom that weekend, and then goes to preform in a concert hall in front of hundreds of people.

Honestly, Steve kinda assumed everybody was like that.

His parents never made it seem like it was a big deal. Hell, he doesn’t even consider that he could go to college for music (not that his dad would ever allow it). It’s basically a hobby.

It’s only after concussion number two when he’s sitting in English class listening to Eddie Munson complaining for a week straight about how he has an ‘epic vision’ for a ‘new song’ but it’ll never come to fruition because he’d need a full string orchestra.

And then another week listening to him hum the melody of the song.

And then a couple more days with the studio equipment that his parents got him for Christmas that Steve starts to think that maybe this ability isn’t all that common.

Eddie - still complaining - just stares at him with shock and confusion when Steve sits a cassette down in front of him and tells him to, “Stop talking.”

Honestly, that should be it, right? Steve has spent more effort making mix tapes than that cassette and those were barely a blip in the week so…

So, why is Eddie Munson confronting him at his locker the next morning? Eddie’s hands are all over the place like, “Did you really find and pay an entire orchestra to play my music just so I’d be quiet?”

“No,” Steve says slowly because that’s insane. “I played your music so you’d be quiet… it clearly didn’t work.”

“You can play…”

“Yeah?”

Eddie just stares at him like he’s something worth staring at and then asks seriously, “Do you want to be in my band?”
