Whelp, guess I should never write another fic, huh? (I will absolutely be writing more fics)

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

245,961

3. What fandoms do you write for?

At the moment, Stranger Things. I've previously written fic for Les Mis, X-Men (film universe), Overwatch (video game), Glitch (tv series), Umbrella Academy (comic), Dracula (novel), The Witcher (tv series), and Marmalade. Plus a few anime last century.

My usual m.o. is one of two fics exploring personal headcanon but the more I talk about a show/movie/book the more of those I develop, so the more fic I end up with.

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to. I tend to get few enough to get back to everyone.

I used to not, but I got several nice replies from authors to comments and I realized that I could do that, too. So thanks Stranger Things authors, for being so friendly.

5. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge.

6. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

@sharpbutsoft and I developed a shared universe, A Bliss Like This, a Jazz Age steddie AU. But the individual fics in the universe are written by one or the other of us

I did co-write something with a classmate back in highschool, but I have no idea what happened to it, or if I'd even be willing to link it if it was on ff.net or someplace similar.

7. What's your all-time favourite ship?

I really don't have one. I tend to go for "opposites attract" sorts of pairings, where their differences are appreciated.

For me, shipping is mostly about exploring one or more of the characters involved. How they affect each other's development, how interacting helps them better understand themselves.

8. What are your writing strengths?

Tight povs. I will stay in one character's head even when they are very, very wrong about what's going on.

9. What are your writing weaknesses?

The boring parts. Plots, mainly.

10. First fandom you wrote for?

Uh, as in actually wrote down and posted somewhere? Fushigi Yuugi, I think. That or Gundam Wing.

667,467 apparently, which feels like way more than I expected. Then again, I also didn't expect to have seventy six fics on there either...

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Lost In Translation (7,256 kudos) An Overwatch fic. I was baffled when it did as well as it did while I was actively posting it and frankly I'm not sure how to deal with the fact that it's still head and shoulders above every other fic I've written. I think it must be from people sorting by kudos and creating a weird positive feedback loop.

How To Torment Cats (And Witchers) (2,124 kudoes) A very light-hearted Witcher one-shot with Ciri and Dandelion

Standard-Issue (1,143 kudos) Another Overwatch fic, this one about McCree's recruitment into Overwatch

Sunlight and Sea Foam (1,102 kudos) A Witcher mermaid!au. This one I'm still pretty pleased with, it was a lot of fun to write.

Mark My Place (952 kudos) A post-canon MDZS fic in which I get to lavish love on Wei Wuxian! A pretty impressive kudo count given that it's only a few months old

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Generally I try to! I really appreciate getting comments and I want to let people know that <3 Fandom is the most fun when it's a community and the only way to get that is to actually connect with people. Also I personally appreciate it when an author responds to comments when a new chapter drops because it helps me keep track of fic updates, so I often do that too for on-going stories :3

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I don't really go in for anything without a happy ending ^^;; Maybe In My Hands I Held The World purely because I didn't finish it and stopped writing in the middle of the all the hurt and never made it to the comfort? Or Promises Misconstrued just by virtue of it.... well, being what it is.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

We only believe in happy endings here!! I really couldn't narrow it down, I like a happy ending... The Celestial Shell Game was a pretty recent one MDZS fic that was just pure post-canon fix-it and reconciliation and lightly bullying the juniors

7. Do you write crossovers?

I do from time to time, but most aren't ever cleaned up or completed to the point of posting -- they're just Fun For Me fics.

My only completed crossover is a Torchwood/MASH fic called An Officer's Guide to Surgery, Shelling & Pterosaurs. It was honestly just a wild ride to write. Very proud of how that one turned out

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

A bit, but not for years. The only one I specifically remember was someone who was very unhappy that I wasn't including individual chapter content warnings, I guess because they've never read a novel?

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Not often, I am Very Ace, but it does happen occasionally. Bound and Held was my most recent one, which was really just 20k of pure kink exploration because Geralt and Dandelion just have the vibe

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don't think so...

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

One! An old Les Mis fic got translated into Chinese years back :3 that was very flattering that someone would want to go to that amount of effort

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Me and @meso-mijali will co-write stuff from time to time, but nothing that's ever made it to completion. I do use her relentlessly to help me solve plot dilemmas (or make new plot dilemmas, depending on how things are going)

13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Could not tell you, 100% depends on sort of mood I'm in sorry xD I bounce all over the place. At the moment I am deeply into wangxian, to the surprise of no one following me on tumblr at the moment

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Well, any of my three current fics I'd love to make some progress on >:/ but I'm still hopeful about getting them finished, albeit slowly and painfully. I have a Hogan's Heroes dating sim that me and @meso-mijali have been working on but the longer it goes undone the more I suspect it never will be *sigh* it took so much planning but it's hard to pick up again in the middle. I also had a Lupin soulmate au called Mosiac that I feel bad about dropping. I still quite like the concept but I'm stuck on where to go next with it...

15. What are your writing strengths?

Uhh... I dunno, there must be something because people seem to enjoy my work well enough but I'll be damned if I know what it is. I think I write high intensity, sensory-based scenes pretty well? At least I like doing them a lot. And I get complimented on my character voices sometimes, so hopefully that!

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Pacing >:/ I will ramble and ramble and ramble and then need to go back and cull things until I have a fic that's even halfway readable. It's so hard to get good pacing down.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Big fan, I'm always here for a bilingual bonus. Either I understand it and get a little thrill out of it or else I just google translate it real quick. As for me writing it I generally don't because I don't want to fuck it up beyond reason... sometimes I might dabble with French if it's character appropriate.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Les Mis! I'm too terrified to reread anything from my Les Mis era because god only knows what my writing was like back then, but it was such a warm and welcoming fandom it's what finally gave me the nerve to starting engaging in fandom space as more than observer

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

...I'm not sure I have one, if I want to write about something I generally do, even if I don't get it to be "publishing" worthy... Maybe Hogan/Kinch? I really like that ship, but I've never written much Hogan's Heroes fic to begin with, I think I only have one published work, and I find it a hard one to write shippy things for

20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Huh... I'm not sure. There a number of fics I've written that I still really really like and will reread (the author's amazing! she knows exactly what I like!) I'm really proud of my Torchwood/MASH crossover, it's my longest fic and took the highest level of technical skill to write. I also tend to reread A Poet Under Pressure fairly often because I do love tormenting Dandelion u.u

The release of The Witcher 3 REDkit made me want to do a New Game+ playthrough (I played through the entire trilogy for the first time in the second half of 2022), so the brainrot has returned.

Remember the Xbox Wire interview where Overwatch's art director, Dion Rogers, said the heroes are fans of whatever they collaborate with? Well, what are the odds that D&D nerd Lena "Tracer" Oxton and chess nerd John Francis Morrison both like The Witcher book series/CDPR games? (We do not talk about the Netflix series, no matter how good Henry Cavill was as Geralt.)

Behold, my favorite dynamic:

Aside from being gruff, silver-haired men with a soft side and scars from head to toe, Jack and Geralt have quite a bit in common. Much like witchers, subjects for the Soldier Enhancement Program underwent a series of genetic modifications that usually ended in death. Sure, the subjects of the Soldier Enhancement Program were twenty-to-thirty-year-olds rather than literal children, but Jack is one of the two survivors of the project that we know. As for witchers, only three out of ten children survived the trials to become a witcher, and the rest died in agony.

Lena and Ciri, on the other hand... well, they're both sapphic and have the ability to blink, I guess? I also just think Lena with their normal hair but ashen, green contacts, black eye makeup, and Ciri's facial scar would look cool.

Plus, I suppose there is the fact that Ciri is almost certainly going to be the protagonist of The Witcher 4-6, meaning Geralt won't really be the "face" of the series anymore. Meanwhile, Jack was the face of Overwatch as an organization, and Lena is (or was) the face of Overwatch as a video game. There's a parallel there if you squint hard enough.

Okay, I can't see how Geralt and Ciri skins would work for Jack and Lena, but I think an Overwatch Witcher AU would go a little hard, at the very least.

Looking for rp partners part two

This will be my fandom list. If you looked at my rp kinks for part one then you may have found yourself here. Again this will be 18+ so looking for rpers who are comfortable rping such things. This will cover a wide range of fandoms and I may forget some so that is on me, otherwise if you look at this thinking tame or rather softcore, it might not work. A lot of times smut is often going to outweigh plot though not like it won't be there.

There might be titles in here you don't know and there might be some you aren't familiar with. My advice is don't force yourself to do something in that scenario. I may have failed to post it last time but I can rp; canon x canon, oc x canon, canon x oc, oc x oc. This will likely come in handy when I put up my overall canon list and pairings. My advice is always read part one before going to part two...it just makes more sense that way. If there are titles not on here that you can do and might want to recommend to me you can...just can't make any guarantees I will be familiar with it.

In the case of unfamiliarity I find it best to opt to AU or Modernized just to save face case I butcher a beloved canon character. Oh and while some of these fandoms seem like they are the squeaky clean...they won't be so much when we are done with it. [[ I need to scream about my Wit.cher AU for Overwatch so more of that below the cut ]]

Overwatch: Jack and Gabriel are/were Witchers of the ‘Overwatch’ school for Witchers, also known as the school of the Lion. (This is up for debate I needed an animal.) After it’s downfall, it was unsure what happened to Jack and Gabriel, though some say both survived. Jack has not been seen for years, and there are stories of a human-like wraith traveling through the lands, seeking revenge, or redemption. Ana was not a Witcher, but was specialized in Witcher potions. She was more of an Alchemist and healer for the Witchers, as well as a teacher in monster lore. After the downfall, she, too, went missing. Pharah is currently looking for her. 

Torbjörn is a dwarf blacksmith that joined ‘Overwatch’ to provide them their weapons, and make sure that their armor is in a good condition. His steel and silver swords are one of the best, if not the best, around. 

Reinhardt is an old seasoned Witcher who has been around for a long time. He’s blind on his right eye due to a monster ambush when he was younger and more cocky. Since then, he has taught many new Witchers, and nobody truly knows his age. Reinhardt does don heavier armor than most Witchers, preferring a more defensive style of fighting.

McCree was a former member of a group called the ‘Deadlock bandits’, who caused trouble for many villages throughout the Nothern Kingdoms. Eventually the gang was stopped by ‘Overwatch’, specifically Gabriel, who took McCree in. McCree never became a full Witcher, but he did train under them, and underwent the Trial of the Grasses, giving him sharper reflexes and his ‘Deadeye’.

Pharah was around that time as well, and she followed training to become a Witcher. ‘Overwatch’, however, was destroyed before she could even have her Trial of the Grasses. 

Mercy and Moira are both sorceresses who helped/worked for ‘Overwatch’. Mercy was a healer/doctor who used her magic to heal wounds and ease the pain. Moira, however, was an indepented sorceress that mostly stayed around because she found the process of how Witchers were created interesting. The changing of genes, as well as the mutating, interested her greatly. She even began experimenting with it further, testing on young and old Witchers alike. Her last test subject was said to gain wraith-like abilities, before she vanished.

Tracer is a Source, a person born with an affinity for magical abilities which are difficult to control. A stressful event caused her abilities to awaken, and thus allow her to travel back and forth in time. ‘Overwatch’ helped her learn how to control it, and use her abilities to protect humans. 

Genji is a dragon with the ability to polymorph into a human. However his ability is limited to one form, as only his father was a golden dragon, and his mother was not. When ‘Overwatch’ found him, he was ‘exiled’ from his clan, and his ability to shift back to his dragon form sealed with a curse. Eventually he leaves ‘Overwatch’ to travel the lands, meeting with a scholar mage who is able to lift his curse, with the help from a certain sorceress. In his dragon form, Genji is a green dragon who is able to breathe fire and acid.

Other: Hanzo is a dragon with the ability to polymorph into a human. However his ability is limited to one form, as only his father was a golden dragon, and his mother was not. He is also a trained assassin, and very versatile with the bow. He is the one who was forced to ‘exile’ his brother and is also the one who put the curse on him in the first place. In his dragon form, he is a white dragon who is able to breathe frost. (There are no blue dragons in the Witcher universe.)

Lucio is a traveling bard who sings songs and tales of the brave Witchers of ‘Overwatch’.

Widowmaker is a trained assassin, and anyone who can pay her enough will hire her, because her shots never miss. This assassin came to be before ‘Overwatch’s’ downfall, and it is speculated that she used to be a member as well, given her strange eyes and inhuman reflexes. 

Symmetra is an elven sorceress who’s magic abilities rival very few. She is a member of the Lodge of Sorceresses, though her ties with them are not as strong, and she prefers not to meddle in political arguements. 

Zenyatta is a traveling elf scholar and mage, who wanders the Northern Kingdoms. He preaches peace and tranquility between humans, elves, dwarfs and gnomes, and is often met with hostility. This does not deter him. He met Genji on his travels, after the downfall of ‘Overwatch’, and helps the exiled dragon find himself again. Together with the help of the research to his curse that the sorceress nicknamed Mercy did, he manages to lift Genji’s curse, who can finally shift back to his original form, a green dragon.

I have no thoughts on other characters yet. I have no idea what Winston would be for example. Suggestions are welcome!
