안녕하세요!😁 깜짝 놀랐죠? 네네 맞습니다 운학임다 ㅎㅎ  이렇게 따로 편지를 쓰는 건 처음입니다.  뭔가 이제야 그동안 응원해 주셨던 너무나 소중한 순간들에 너무 늦게 답장한 것은 아닐까 걱정이 되긴 합니다만 우선 그 마음은 뒤로한 채 진심은 배신하지 않는다는 믿음을 가지고 2년 동안 가수로서 느껴왔던 제 진심을 적어내려 봅니다.  열다섯 살부터 연습생 생활을 시작해서 스무살이 되고 이제 세상은 저를 2년 차 가수 김운학으로 바라봅니다.  이렇게 세상으로 나오고 나니 때론 손이 데일만큼 뜨거운 날도, 때론 현실에 치여 세상이 차갑게만 느껴지는 날도, 때론 너무 많이 울어서 비가 제 모습을 가리는 적적한 날도 있었던 것 같아요.  크게 흔들릴 수도 있던 희로애락 속에 넘어질 뻔한 적도 있지만 그때마다 제게 ���댈 곳이 되어주어서 정말 고마워요.  이렇게 제 옆을 쭉 지켜줬던 원도어 덕분에 제게도 새로운 꿈이 생겼어요.  제게 원도어가 그랬듯 이제는 제가 어른이 된 김운학답게 앞으로 원도어가 세상을 살아가는 풍파 속에 기댈 수 있는 큰 산이 되고 싶어요.  행복할 때 가끔 찾는 카페처럼, 자기 전에 덮는 이불처럼, 어떤 방식이어도 괜찮으니 여러분의 꿈을 찾아가고 이뤄가는 과정 속 가장 힘이 되어 줄 수 있는 사람이 되고 싶어요.  분명 차가운 세상 속 혼자인 것 같은 기분이 들 수도 있겠지만 그때마다 걱정 없이 편하게 내 쪽으로 기대주길, 10년이든 398년이든 옆에 서 있을 테니 꼭 나를 든든한 사람으로 느껴주길 소망하며 편지를 끝내 봅니다.  그대의 직업도 나이도 얼굴도 알 수는 없지만, 누군가를 사랑할 수 있는 대단한 힘을 가진 원도어의 옆에 무슨 일이 있던 끝까지 같이 있을 것을 약속합니다.  사랑합니다!

Hello! 😁 you are surprised, right? Yep yep, that’s right, it’s me, Woonhak ㅎㅎ This is my first time writing a separate letter like this. It kind of worries me, am I replying too late to all those precious moments of support you’ve given me? But for now, I’m setting that feeling aside, trusting that sincerity never betrays, and writing down the heartfelt thoughts I’ve had in my two years as a singer.

I started my trainee life at 15, turned 20, and now the world sees me as a second-year singer, Kim Woonhak. Since stepping out into the world, there have been days so hot they felt like it could scorch my hand, days when the harshness of reality made the world feel cold, and even days so lonely, I cried so much it felt like the rain was hiding me. there were times when I nearly stumbled through all those highs and lows, joys and sorrows, but every time, you were the place I could lean on, thank you so much.

Because ONEDOOR stayed by my side all along, a new dream was born in me. Just like ONEDOOR was for me, now that I’m grown, I want to be a big, steady mountain you can lean on through life’s storms.

Or like a favorite café you visit when you’re happy, like a blanket you pull over before bed, however it may be, I want to be the person who gives you the most strength as you chase and achieve your dreams.

In this cold world, you might sometimes feel like you’re all alone, but whenever that happens, I hope you’ll lean on me without hesitation, without worry. Whether it’s 10 years or 398, I’ll be right here next to you.

I end this letter hoping you’ll always see me as someone you can rely on.

I may not know your job, your age, or your face, but I promise to stay beside ONEDOOR, who holds the incredible power to love someone, no matter what happens, to the very end.

andrei bolkonsky is truly the most "dead since the beginning" character. in his last few days he reaches a very explicit state of undeathness ("they were not attending on him (he was no longer there, he had left them) but on what reminded them most closely of him—his body"), but really, is it the first time he has been like this? in his first chapter, when he walks into anna pavlovna's soiree, "it was evident that he not only knew everyone in the drawing room, but had found them to be so tiresome that it wearied him to look at or listen to them". he goes through the social motions but doesn't really feel them (except with pierre, who understands instinctively many things about him, like that their meeting before borodino is their last), and he's just like that before the end. the night before austerlitz he declares "death, wounds, the loss of family—i fear nothing", and it's close to the absence of terror and general feeling he feels after his last nightmare. he's assumed to have died at austerlitz by everyone and reappears at home with zero explanation. the same thing happens after borodino. during both the near-death experiences, he feels some sort of "awakening" ("death is an awakening"). he identifies himself in an old oak tree that appears to be dead until spring (love) draws some last signs of life from him. and literally the only thing that seems to keep him alive is his last-minute unwillingness to separate himself from love, which to tolstoy is life - "i cannot, i do not wish to die. i love life—i love this grass, this earth, this air". this man is a zombie. he returned from the metaphorical and literal (the battlefield) land of the dead not once but twice with terrible wounds, despite all his efforts he can never find a complete and lasting connection to liveliness but falls back again and again in his mechanical, detached way of moving through situations. even his connection to natasha, life and joy, is perceived to be doomed from the beginning by many. "ah, my friend, it has of late become hard for me to live. i see that i have begun to understand too much" he says to perhaps the only person he has always been honest with, pierre, before receiving his final wound. and when he does die it's impossible to tell. marya can't pinpoint the moment when he's gone physically, and as for his spirit, even little nikolai knows it was torn from him earlier. but it doesn't feel like a sudden and new thing. we've seen him in this state before, though perhaps not on this level. but really, it looks like his struggle to keep death out of the room has been going on throughout the entire novel, and he could never hold the door completely closed. we've never seen him completely alive. on a meta level too, because he is maybe the only main character tolstoy didn't base on anyone but created from scratch, with the specific intention to kill him. when did he die exactly? at borodino? at austerlitz, where tolstoy originally intended him to? when he had his nightmare? when he left natasha? when lise died? when his mother died? before we ever met him, it seems. he died in a dream.

원도어, 저희가 벌써 함께 추억을 쌓아 나가기 시작한 지도 벌써 2년이 되었어요.  빠르게 흘러간 시간이지만 되돌아보았을 때 기억에 남는 추억이 제 손가락으로는 모두 세어지지 않는다는 것은 우리가 그만큼 행복했던 거겠죠?  누군가가 나를 사랑해 주고 기댈 어깨가 되어준다는 기분을, 데뷔를 하고 여러분을 만나기 전까지는 절대 알지 못했어요.  저의 여름에 시원한 그늘이, 저의 겨울에 따뜻한 쉴 곳이 되어줘서 진심으로 고마워요. 원도어 사랑합니다.  사랑하는 사람에게 받은 사랑을 돌려줄 줄 아는 사람, 감사한 만큼 그에 맞는 책임감을 가질 줄 아는 어른으로 크고 싶어요.  그러기 위한 제 인생의 동반자를 찾는다면 그게 원도어가 아닐까 해요.  부디 제 인생의 영원한 동반자가 되어주시겠어요?  눈물이 나거나 미소가 지어지는 날들을 보내며 행복의 눈물을 흘리고 따뜻한 미소를 지을 때, 그 모든 순간의 주인공은 오직 여러분이 되어주기를 바라요.  데뷔 때부터 어리기만 했던 저를 넓은 마음으로 품어줘서 고맙고 제가 누군가에게 다가가고 싶다는 마음을 들게 해줘서 고맙고 가수가 되고 싶다는 꿈이 실현되는 과정에 끊임없이 영감을 줘서 고마워요.  우리 꼭 오래오래 사랑해요. 우리 원도어 이제 2살 됐네 너무 귀엽다  우리 같이 앞으로도 행복한 추억 슬픈 추억 함께 공유하자  내 목소리가 나오는 한 원도어를 위해 노래할게 내 몸이 허락하는 동안 원도어를 위해 무대에 설게  사랑해

ONEDOOR, it’s already been 2 years since we started piling up memories together. Even though the time flew by quickly, the fact that I can’t count all the memorable moments on my fingers must mean, we were truly that happy, right? I never knew what it felt like to be loved by someone, to have a shoulder to lean on, not until i debuted and met all of you. Thank you so much for being the cool shade in my summer, and the warm place to rest in my winter. ONEDOOR, I love you. I want to grow up to be someone who knows how to return the love they’ve received from someone they love, and an adult who carries a sense of responsibility that matches the gratitude they feel. If I were to find the companion in my life who helps me grow that way, I think that would be ONEDOOR. Would you please stay as my lifelong companion? As we go through days full of tears and smiles, and when we shed tears of happiness or smile warmly, I hope the main character of all those moments is always you. Thank you for embracing the younger me with such a big heart since debut. Thank you for making me want to reach out to someone. Thank you for endlessly inspiring me throughout the journey of making my dream of becoming a singer come true.

Let’s love each other for a very long, long time. It’s cute how our ONEDOOR is now 2 years old. Let’s continue to share more happy and sad memories together. as long as my voice comes out, I’ll sing for ONEDOOR. as long as my body allows it, I’ll stand on stage for ONEDOOR.
