I think you've mentioned before that you headcanon there to be two or three of each color Addison - does that extend to white as well? Were there any other white Addisons besides Spamton or was he unique? We don't see any in-game but that doesn't necessarily mean none exist

Also do you think there are Addison colors besides the four (five including white) canon ones? Like red/green/purple/etc.

my personal headcanon is that no, there aren't any other white addisons. in like a poetic sense, deltarune's themes of fate and inevitability are so greatly shown in spamton, and that he's been singled out from the others to fail, despite his best efforts to break out of the mold that beings above him put him into to begin with. He's unique, but in a way that is horrifying. If there was another white addison, idk he'd still stand out, but the fact he's shown to be so different from the others from the get-go is a signal like "hey look at this one! somethings gonna happen to this one! and it ain't gonna be good!"

also to me, personally, i only think there's those four other colors. However, i've read some amazing fics/seen some amazing art where there are more addison colors :D

I thought that Pallé was a reference to a french dish, object or something else, then Google translator auto-corrector intervened. Turned out that, minus the accent, is literally the italian word to say "Balls" :P

It was supposed to be a play on words for palette similar to Swatch and the Swatchlings' naming scheme. I had no idea her name without the accent meant that Dear God what have I done

Vermillion Crystals - Kris and Queen (Update!)

I've been incredibly busy in my own life, so progress has been slow with the reboot (If it can even be called that), but, I have at least something!

First up, a redraw of Vermillion Kris. I decided I should make my own sprites for the sake of convenience and consistency. It'll be easier to make poses for Kris when I don't have to edit 99% of their spritesheet, also I wanted to match them with the way I stylized the Undertale human sprites. I also slightly redesigned them, changing their color palette to incorporate the darkened armor from their Demon design, featured in my last post about the future direction of the AU. I will not be updating the thumbnails for previous songs, as they are all now non-canon. New and more unique versions of what I've showed off will come in the future.

Onto something with a bit more substance, Queen! Building off of my ideas from the last post, she has a new design for her debut in Chapter 2! The idea is that, when she got overthrown and kicked out of her Mansion (which is now gonna be a Hotel/Casino, thanks to Spamton), she also got kicked out of her body! Which leaves her to have to built a new body with the scrap she finds around the Cyber Field (made possible with the help of Swatch and his Swatchlings). This DIY body (resulting in her final name being Q5U4EX7YY2E9N-DIY, or just Queen-DIY) was made to emulate her original look, but significantly stunted due to limited supplies. Thankfully, Sweet Cap'n Cakes left a lot of junk behind when they moved into Spamton's Hotel!

The design is loosely inspired by P03 from Inscryption, as seen by the claw and crank. I would provide the design of P03, but the nature of its physical appearances in the game are heavy spoilers, so proceed with caution.

But anyways, I also have a concept for the current state of the Cyber City! Thanks to Spamton bringing in so many viruses, the city had to have a Firewall installed in order to combat it. This prevents people from getting both out and in (although there's not much left in the Field at this point other than the people Spamton wants to keep out, so not much is lost by everyone being locked in), so it's impossible to get in, right?

Wrong!

Thanks to the exaggeration and expansion of things between the Light World and Dark World, the Firewall is a literal Fire Wall. Noelle joins the team much earlier (tagging in and out with Ralsei in combat) and helps the Fun Gang break into the city. The main track for the city is called "WELCOME TO THE [FireWall]!" and is actually complete! I want to wait a bit more for the au to have a substantial amount of content before I release any new tracks though.

Through the window, a snowball fight is visible. Sweet has defeated Seam with a snowball and is t-posing assertively over Seam's prone body, while Spamton deals snowballs to players nearby. Bratty's displeased snout is glaring at Spamton from close to the window. End I.D.]

i imagine seam is saying something like "you spry girls save yourselves, hee hee... i'm past the brink..." but bratty is too loyal to purple cats to leave seam behind

The white canvas taunted Swatch like a Maus that had evaded their traps. Its glow was blinding against the darkness of the mansion’s basement, but the Swatchlings were already showing signs of concern. There was nowhere else remote enough to make this attempt. 

Swatch, head artist of Cyber City, couldn’t be seen trembling as their paintbrush failed to leave a mark on the screen.

Magenta. Cyan. Yellow. All dissolved into smoke before touching the canvas. Blank, blank, blank. 

Surely there was a mistake. No, not even that. More of, of a glitch—something small, and fixable, and their abilities would return shortly.

Shortly.

Shortly.

Soon.

(It had been sixteen days.)

Their chest rose and fell as they tried to calm their breaths. Their tie felt like a noose around their neck. 

“Please,” they murmured heavenward. “Please.”

Another empty stroke was the only answer to their prayer.

What had they done to deserve this? Were they not pious enough? Did the robot not fit the Lightner’s exact specifications? They and Swatch had always worked in unison before. All those hopes… all those dreams, flowing through them…

Left to rot, in the next chamber over. Swatch couldn’t bear to look upon it.

“Where are you?” they called out desperately. 

Their voice echoed off of columns of corrupted data, bitcrushing their words into garbage noise. Was that how they sounded to their Lightner? Like static and white, empty nothing?

No. No, no. Swatch had done everything right. The creation, though unfinished, had been a masterpiece. 

They wouldn’t let it be their last.

They growled, hefting their rectangular palette with one wing.

“I said, where are you!” 

The hurled palette collided with the canvas. The screen fuzzed as pixels splattered across its surface—magenta, cyan, yellow. 

Hope swelled in Swatch’s breast, too thick to breathe. Even a mess of color was better than nothing. If this last desperate roar was enough to draw the Lightner’s attention—

The pixels evaporated from the screen. The hope evaporated from Swatch’s chest.

“No!”

Swatch dropped their brush and grasped at the canvas, as if their wings could press the color to it, force it to stay. Instead the hues bled through their feathers. The color didn’t even have the decency to stain their black plumage.

“No…” they whispered.

The canvas had cracked. Static crackled on the screen, a mirror of the static in their mind. 

(The static leaking from their eyes.)

A spark fizzled where their teardrop hit the canvas. Even that was dull and white.

They threw aside their two-toned glasses, falling to their knees on the grimy floor. A condemned servant before their unaccepted offering. Shards of its broken glass dug into their suit pants, just as their feathered fingers dug into their palms.

“Why…?”

Why did you forsake me?

Only silence answered.

Behold. A swatchling oc. Made off the concept that if there’s a cafe of warm colors, then there must also be a cafe of cool colors. This is the head of that cafe. Maybe related to swatch? Or perhaps they were simply business partners at one point?

All there is to know is that his cafe is cool and has the same color palette as a dark strip club.
