Had an absolutely fantastic day out with my mammy @caroline.davies350 and my adopted mammy @lynpops !! I’m incredibly lucky to have two such special ladies in my life 💖 We’ve known the Fields family for nearly ten years now. We met at @ty_hafan 💚 and we’ve been family ever since. It’s a bond few people will understand; we are on the same journey. Me and the twins are all palliative care, and always will be. We all have unique conditions. We all have degenerative conditions. We all have horrific chronic seizures and spasms. We also all love clothes and fashion, shopping, bright colours, Disney, hot men, our families, and each other. We inspire each other, every day. When I’m struggling, I think to myself “if they can do this, I can do this”, and they think the same about us. The fact that Lyn has to leave her poorly girls (in the capable hands of father Fields!) this morning to come and watch me says everything about our bond; no matter what we’ve got going on, we always do everything we can to support each other 💖 thank you so much to Lyn for giving up her time for us! We had a fantastic day 😁 I loved being the centre of attention of my two mammies! People may consider it really strange for me to consider myself lucky, but I do. Got to have a catch up with these two yesterday, and it really cheered me up on a bad day 🥰❤️ I miss hanging out with these weirdos in person but a FaceTime catch up was lovely; even though when my mum stuck her head around the door and asked if she could send me to live with them, they both said no FAR too quickly 😂🙄 (rude!) Also, it completely sums up our friendship that we’re still laughing about Cam’s story about how he broke both his legs 🙈😂! Part two! Today I (and my family!) got this MASSIVE parcel from my absolutely AMAZING friend and fellow palliative care and detox warrior Chloe ❤️ When I video called her to say thank you, and asked why I’d been treated to such a huge surprise. She said “people think once you’re off the drugs that’s it, that the hard part’s done... but actually THIS is the hardest part.” And she’s absolutely right. The hard part is figuring out living my life with as little use of the benzodiazepines and opioids as possible. It’s figuring out what my body is like, and who I am. I’m so, so grateful to have made such an incredible friend. I honestly don’t think I could’ve done my detox with my buddy and her endless understanding and support. Despite her multitude of challenges, Chloe makes so many people’s days better and brighter just by being her; certainly in our house! Went for a Christmas 🎄 meal On Sunday with The Lads, my boys @bluebirdccfc94 and @camswans01 from our Ty Hafan Squad, and their amazing mums, Deb and Lisa 😁❤️ As much as these two lads are complete wind up merchants and a pain in the ass, they’re also absolute sweethearts, who make me laugh endlessly, who I can talk to about everything and anything, and who always look out for me (I had multiple messages checking I was okay getting to the restaurant and checking I was home safe ❤️). I feel incredibly lucky to have two such amazing mates in my life (and their even more amazing mums!) 🥰❤️ Thanks for a fab Christmas celebration the day before a really hard day guys; I was in desperate need of some joy, laughter, cwtches and friendship. I gotta day I am ABSOLUTELY CHUFFED that my awesome 😎 friend @can swans01 made it to my 25th birthday 🎂 party last Friday!! He’s one of my friends from my Ty Hafan Squad, our palliative care support group that brings together young people who went to Ty Hafan and lived to tell the tale. I was so impressed by how confident Cam’s gotten in the last year; he only used to ever come to social stuff if that pain in the arse @bluebirdccfc94 was coming too... but now he’s a proper social butterfly! He came on his own with just his carer knowing only me and my parents, and he was chatting away to loads of my family and friends all night. It was honestly such a joy to see how confident he is!
