G'morning! Probably gonna take a break from drawing birds in leu of doing Mermay ! I've never been able to hit every day so that's my goal this year~

I resisted the urge to just make Lapis from Steven Universe.....but realized as I finished that I had made a Sapphire color palette instead! Oh well lol

For this challenge I have tried to test with a watercolor effect.🙈 I really hope it seems.💦

I also wanted to combine with other lists but I did not see myself able to make so many mermaids. Especially for lack of time.

I’m really happy with how this turned out, I was worried that i’d muck it up and ruin the base sketch, but I am surprisingly impressed with myself and it’s nice to have a mermaid out for mermay. I probably won’t do tons but i’ll be doing as many as I can and they’ll all be up on my redbubble! 

Note that my watermark won’t appear on prints etc. I just put it on there to deter art thieves!

AURORA PINK + SPINEL GEMSTONE MERMAID . Marmay is started! 🌊 First time for me with this challenge and I choosed to mix two lists: PANTONE COLORS short prompt list (by @vetvy and @soniastegemann )and GEMSTONES (list by @artbyrouxi and @illustrations.by.adi ) I’ll follow the order of the colors but I add a gemstone, the one which is more similar for light and shades! Hope you guys like my first entry!
