Hey everyone! Welcome to yet another post of mishmashed topics! Because if I post these things individually, they get ZERO attention!

Do to start: I’m sorry for my inactivity these past few weeks. Show nights for the school play are coming up so I’ve been busy. I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN ABT ALL MY WIP FICS!! I PROMISE! I just haven’t had time to work on them, but I’m hoping after the show is over and during February break I’ll have some time.

Similarly, you know how from my last post like this that one of my fics is ‘ODYSSEUS’ but wholesome version? I’m struggling to think of the exact way that’s going to work- why is Odysseus targeting the suitors, since they’re nice in this AU? And it’s going to take inspiration from the ‘we’re all friends au’ which is what I’ve affectionally dubbed the AU with Telemachus’ birthday, including the hold them down and Odysseus parodies. (And anything else that I find that’s wholesome basically haha) I also don’t know what to do with the other crew members, since it takes place in my no one dies au, that means that all 600 men are there, and I feel like including them might dilute the point of Odysseus being able to take down 108 suitors without help, but I don’t know what to do with them otherwise. So, any advice on all that would be greatly appreciated, so I can make that fic as good as possible for you guys!

Next up: I finished fourth wing, we’re going a ‘read your own book’ unit in English, and I really liked it! Yes, I skipped all the spicy scenes. But my brain immediately went to another happy ending au because your girl canNOT do sad. So there’s that.

For the same unit, I’ve started ‘Spark’, which is another dragon book- and I’ve read it once before but don’t remember much. Anyway, I really like the concept, and will probably make an OC that’s a guardian. Love the wholesome vibes where the kingdom is in peace, there’s no violence, just a girl trying to adjust to a big job where she doesn’t feel like she fits. (So far. Hopefully it stays that way.)

Is anyone else in the tword community just obsessed with laughter- even out of the tword context? Like, I’m obsessed with laughter whether caused by twords or not, especially magical/involuntary laughter. I had tons of dreams about laughter as a kid, a few of which had tword themes but many that didn’t.

I just wanted to know if that was just a me thing.

Guess what yall? I got a scenario for fop:anw because, again, hyperfixation! (This isn’t tword related though) Also, before you read note that all of this is platonic in nature!!

So, Dev is like super touch-starved. Ridiculously so. I can imagine that he doesn’t even realize his longing for human touch because he like never gets hugged or touched in a positive way.

Hazel finds this out one day because the two fight, but Dev catches up to her and they talk and explain and apologize and all that, and after which Hazel hugs dev. He kinda freezes for a moment. “What- what are you doing?” “Hugging you!”

Then he melts into it. After a moment he says “I… I’ve never been hugged before.” “Oh, Dev..”

They hug for a while and then a little bit later Hazel asks if they should move to the couch so they could sit, and they do, and they continue to hug until eventually Dev falls asleep. Hazel stays with him until she can’t anymore/has to leave, and then she gently lays him down and covers him up with a blanket before leaving.

Due to this whole fiasco, Peri is now also aware that his Godkid is severely touch starved, and will often hold/hug him, or turn into a cat or a stuffed animal or something and just be next to him.

Idk I just thought it was a nice thought.

Actually this happened pretty recently to my brother. He went to an event for school and some of the people who knew me realized that my family was my family because my brother looked like me.

I had more thoughts on a new wish. Although this was partially inspired by another post I saw.

I can imagine that Angela would immediately know that something is wrong with Dev’s home life as soon as he and Hazel have a play date at her house.

I picture Angela just intently staring at the two of them playing with a notebook, Marcus walking up to her and saying. “Um… what’re you doing, Honey?”

Then Angela just whispers back “Shh… I’m watching.”

“Whyyyy?”

“My therapist senses are tingling.”

Then after the hang out Angela has a full page of notes on Dev and his behavior and a conclusion on his home life. She tells Marcus and also plans to talk to Dev next time he comes over. And Marcus is all like “you got all that.. just from watching him?”

And then she just nods and he’s like “impressive.”

The notes would be something like this;

-Abandonment issues.

-> overcompensates by pushing people away.

-Inferiority complex. Projects insecurity by acting like he’s better than others.

-Touch starved. Level unknown but likely high.

-Doesn’t know proper emotional regulation or communication skills

-seems to look up to his father, but also seems afraid of him.

-> seems to feel like he isn’t enough for his dad

-Heavy perfectionism. Feels as though if he isn’t perfect that he isn’t worthy of love.

-Doesn’t understand his own emotions or feels the need to repress them. Maybe both.

-Views emotions as a weakness or annoyance to others. Feels as though he’s burdening others.

-feels as though he does not deserve emotional connection or comfort.

-mom is never mentioned. Out of the picture? Surrogate mother? Not raised with one?

-Conclusion,

EMOTIONALLY NEGLECTED.

Okay, epic thought that I’ve had for a while.

WHY in the WORLD did the crew actually believe the treasure rumour?! Think about it, if you were a crew member on that ship, and you shit a harpoon at a floating island, and your captain said they were going to ask for help with the storm you’ve been facing, and then they leave and when they come back the storm is GONE, and they have a bag and say ‘hey, the storms in here’ your captain, someone you trust and care about, and then a little creature tied to a god that has no personal bonds to you and might be mischievous says ‘actually, it’s treasure’ who would you believe?! Becuase I would believe the fucking captain!! Especially considering the storm was there before he had the bag and then he had the bag and POOF no more storm. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE, PEOPLE

GUYS I NEED HELP

So im making an animatic on procreate for NSFLY, right? And I got super far. I got all the inbetweens, I followed the whole story board. But when I went to compare it to the music, it didn’t line up AT ALL. Not just a little off here and there, COMPLETELY WRONG. And on the one hand, I don’t want to get rid of all my progress, because I’ve come so far. But on the other, I don’t know if I’m gonna get it with this, so I think I might need to restart. I’m really struggling with decision and this animatic as a whole is giving me some major stress, to the point I almost cried about it yesterday when i realized the whole thing was off.

So, any advice, comforting words, tips and tricks, anything, is appreciated.

Okay, as someone in the tkl community who’s also just obsessed with laughter in general, I have an idea I just cannot get out of my head.

So, you know how laughter is contagious right? And you know how people can get the giggles? Well, this idea is basically a pandemic/zombie apocalypse type situation but with the giggles as the ‘virus.’

So like, there’s an origin point, and then it starts to spread, and people notice, and it gets on the news. And now there’s like, people trying not to get infected but the numbers are going up every day, and you never know if someone has it or not, and there are symptoms that people know of but sometimes someone might kiss the symptoms. And basically how it spreads is if you hear someone who has the giggles laughing, you have a chance to catch it. So you come home from work one day and all of a sudden you can’t stop laughing and you’re like ‘dammit, Dave you got me infected!’

And there are some people who are overly obsessed with staying uninfected so they lock themselves up in their homes as a quarantine type thing and act as a sort of zombie apocalypse survival group but for the giggles. And there could be a situation where someone is pretending not to be infected, because as we all know in every piece of zombie media there’s at least one person who’s part of a survivor group who got bit and hides it and then ends up infecting someone else- well, this person heard someone they know was infected giggle but they pretend they didn’t and then it’s too late and they just burst out laughing in the whole survivor group and now at least one other survivor is infected but probably more.

Anyways I’ve thought about this a lot and I wanted to get it out of my head and into words, and hopefully some people will see and like this.

A few Ithaca saga thoughts!!

Firstly, ATHENA IS ALIVE! WE WERE RIGHT!

Also, right after the one suitor (menalithus or something like that I think?) said “we can still defeat the king if we all attack the prince!” My brain wants to fill in “Yes, sir!” It just feels right.

Also, the one suitor, might be the same one idk, who said ‘we have the advantage, we’ve the numbers and the might.’ ‘We know these halls, the odds can be tilted’ THEY HAVE SUCH A SATISFYING ACCENT! I cannot identify what it is but it sounds very nice.

Not an original idea, but in hold them down when Antinous says ‘only the ocean and I will know!’ I’ve seen people saying Poseidon is freaking out, like “nope! The ocean will snitch! The ocean doesn’t mess with Odysseus no more!”

THE JUST A MAN MUSIC AT THE END OF WOULD YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH ME AGAIN! AGHHH. CRYING.

Odysseus thought Penelope was asking for a divorce/saying she no longer loved him when she asked him to move the bed. She did that to help prove to him it was still her husband. ‘Only my husband knew that, so I guess that makes him you!’ UGH SO BEAUTIFUL.

This one is a tword thought but I can’t help but think of the song Odysseus as a more.. wholesome version. (I’m actually writing a fic of this! Keep your eyes out!)

Question about Epic cause I’ve never read the odyssey, what is Scylla? And also why does she take sacrifices? What’s the purpose of that? What’s her motive? What would have happened if they tried to go through her lair without lighting any? Why are there six eel heads?

I’m wondering and hoping someone who’s actually read the odyssey or has more knowledge can answer lol.

Hey guys! I don’t really post about shifting stuff but I wanted to post this. The fact that others can visit is inspired by the wonderful and very helpful @stilljuststardust (hope you don’t mind the tag!)

Welcome to my waiting room, also known as Mythica! (Note for the format that this started out in my notes just for me but as I went on I added some other features. Might add more in future:3)

My waiting room is less of a room and more of a space, and certain things kinda work like a video game. There is a nice building with comfortable rooms and access to all media outlets past and present. There is also a large garden with flowers and lovely little plants and things. Outside the house is a lovely natural environment with rolling hills, large fields, gorgeous clear waters, fluffy clouds and tall glorious trees. Near the house is a large open clearing with tons of portals/doors through which you can enter any of the other DR’s + my OR. A new one is added for every DR. I can also shapeshift and grow any number of non human attributes as well as shift into animals or mythical creatures.

This is like a DR in itself, basically meant for piling anything that doesn’t fit into its own DR into a space. The house/field is considered ‘spawn’ and if you have the intent to go back to spawn and say ‘take me to spawn’ you will instantly teleport back there. You can also teleport to any other location in this world via a map at spawn by tapping on the location you wish to go(to make it more fun, it’s only visible/unlocked on the map once you’ve seen it before) and then tapping the “fast travel” option. The other option would be “info” which you can view all the information about a location including natural flora and fauna, magical/unnatural properties, and big attractions.

I’ll wait to find out what the universe has is store for the locations once I get there, but something locations I’d like to see include: Rainbow location, Cloud/sky location, Underwater location. Mythical creature la and all sorts of animal friends reside here as well. This also allows stuffies to live and walk around on their own like in Toy Story or doc Mcstuffins. You can find wild stuffed animals, Other ppls stuffies and my own(past and present) will wander round the house/field like little pets!!

Other people are welcome to visit, and each person will have their own “spawn” with their own house, field and portals. You can visit other people’s spawns but can only interact with the surroundings if given permission by the owner. If you are the owner, you can give others three states of permission or ban them entirely, which will prevent them from entering your spawn area. :

view only-the person can walk around, touch and look at the surroundings but will not influence anything.

Visitor-can move/influence surroundings

Owner/full permission-can change anything about the spawns appearance, function or connection to the rest of the space at will.

Hey yall, I’ve asked this before but it’s been a while and I have more followers so I’m gonna ask again

What is something that, when reading my fics, immediately lets you know it’s my work? Like say someone copy pasted it and showed you and you didn’t know I wrote it, what would give it away as mine? Or, in other words, what are some signature aspects of my writing style?

I’m curious to see what yall think!
