Gahum sa Buwak "Flower Power" is an event that celebrates the contributions of women artists and fashion designers in the province of the Davao region... This year's event, which was held at Estancia Mall in Pasig City, featured a wide array of artworks by local artists and fashion designers. It was organized by the Dabawenyo Artists Federation Inc. art group Floral Artists of Davao. The event showcased the talent and creativity of women artists from Davao and served as a platform for them to share their art with the rest of the country. It was a great opportunity for me, especially the public, to see the diversity of Davao's art scene and to learn more about the culture and history of the region. The celebration was a huge success, and special guests included Vice Mayor Jaworski Jr. of Pasig City and Madam Sarah Duterte, our beloved Vice President of the Philippines. Also, I would like to exhort everyone to acknowledge and honour the accomplishments of women artists in the Philippines by visiting the art galleries and joining the different fun activities. A.

Ang bagyo ay isang malakas na hanging kumikilos ng paikot, na madalas ay may kasamang malakas at matagal na pag-ulan. Ang bagyo ay isang higanteng buhawi. Sa mata ng bagyo ay walang hangin subalit malakas naman ang hangin sa eyewall nito. Pinaka malakas na bagyo na hinarap ng ating barangay ay ang noon sa Bagyong Yolanda dahil hindi pa handa ang mga drainage at kalat kalat pa ang mga basura sa ating lugar. Kaunti din ang mga safety box at mga pang rescue.

Ang iba pang mga panganib na naexperience ng ating pamamayanan ay ang mga sumusunod;

1. Basura – Dahil sa maling pagtatapon ng mga ibat ibang mga tao  sa ating barangay ay naipon ng naipon ang lahat ng mga basura sa ating creak kung saan natitigil ang maayos na daloy ng tubig.

2. Hinahayaang dumumi ang mga alaga sa daanan – Hinahayaan ng mga tao ditto na maglabas ng dumi ang kani-kanilang mga alaga.

3. Nakawan – (pwedeng parte ng sasakyan, gamit sa bahay) dahil din ito sa pagpapabaya ng mga tao maiwanan ang mga bahay na walang tao o kung hindi maiiwasan, ay walang ilaw.

4. Maingay – Dahil sa mga kotsena dumadaan at mga iba pang sasakyan.

5. Madaling bahain – Dahil sa mga basura na hindi itinatapon ng maayos, at sa mga drainage na nananatiling barado.

Public Storm Warning Signal (PSWS)

-  ang PSWS ay mga babalang ipinalalabas ng PAGASA upang malaman kung gaano kalakas ang paparating na bagyo, saan ang lokasyon nito sa oras na inilabas ang PSWS, saan ang tinatayang dadaanan nito, at ano ang mga paghahandang dapat o maaari pang maisagawa ng mga komunidad na maaapektuhan ng pagdaan ng bagyo. Sa pamamagitan nito ay malalam an ng mga mamamayan kung mayroong padating na mabigat na sakuna. Mayroon din tayong mga rumuronda na mga barangay tanod na mayroon speaker para magbigay announcement para sa lahat sa mga padating na sakuna,

Ang mga sakuna ay bihira naman tumama dito sa ating barangay. Ang mga panganib ay madalas, kung sisiguruhin ay 1-3 na beses sa isang linggo.

B.

Ang mayroong pinakamatinding pinsala na nakaexperience dito sa Brgy. Manggahan ay ang mga lugar na malapit sa floodway dahil sila ang pinaka malapit sa tubigan mung saan namumuo ang mga baha.

Ang mga panganib lalong lalo na ang nakawan sa ating barangay ay walang pinipiling tao na maaapektuhan. Kung pipili man ng maaapektuhan, ito ay ang mga pamilya ng mga nagnanakaw, dahil sa oras ng kagipitan at nahuli ang mga magnanakaw, ang mahihirapan ay ang pamilya ng mga ito.

Ang pinaka ligtas na lugar tuwing may panganib o kaya sakuna, ay syempre sa school o evacuation center at kung matibay at maayos naman ang kabahayan, manatili nalang sa loob ng bahay.

Ang pinaka delikado namang lugar sa oras ng sakuna at panganib, ay ang mga lugar na malapit sa mga mapuno na lugar, lugar na madidilim (pwedeng malapit sa sakit katulad ng dengue at iba pa), lugar kung saan malapit sa mga floodway.

Sa ngayon, ang pinakamabigat na suliranin na ikinahaharap ng barangay natin ay ang nakawan, dahil isang rason ditto ay malapit na ang kapaskuhan. Dahil malapit na ang kapaskuhan, maraming tao ay nangangailangan ng pera lalo na ng pagkain na nagiging rason para makagawa ng mali. Ito ay nagiging hadlang sa barangay, dahil mayroon naman tayong mga tao na rumuronda ngunit madalas ay hindi talaga nacocontrol ang mga ito kaya bumababa ang tingin samin ng mamamayan at inaakalang hindi naming ginagawa ang mga trabaho namin.

C.

Ang bawat barangay ay mayroong funds para sa mga emergency purposes na nakalaan talaga para sa pagtulong at pagbangon. Mayroon din palaging nakahanda na evacuation centers at emergency kits ang ating barangay.

Ang maipagmamalaki ng ating barangay ay ang pagkakaroon ng world class emergency operations center kung saan maraming gamit katulad ng Fixed & Portable Emergency Cellular System, SMS BLAST, HF BASE RADIO, DMR IP RADIO TRUNKING With GPS TRACKING, UHF REPEATER, SMART SAT PHONE. Ito ay ginagamit para mas precise at mas mabilis ang pagtutkoy sa sakuna o sa paglocate sa mga tao na nawawala o kung ano man.

Ang mga taong namamahala sa mga panahon na ganyan ay ang gobyerno na binoto ng mga mamamayan. Walang specific na sector, dahil lahat ng tao ay obligado tumulong kapag may sakuna o panganib.

This 3-storey with mezzanine office building poses design challenges to KDA. The project is limited to a 4 m. X 12 m. building footprint and yet it requires a lot of office spaces. The project requires for 40 ft. container trucks to be able pass through. And its facade is directly facing the afternoon sun. With these challenges, KDA developed following solutions for this project: for 2nd/F and 3rd/F to have a 2 m. cantilevered floor plate; to have a mezzanine on G/F to increase the height clearance; and to have sunshade metal works with balconies for tall plants.
