Not sure what the Pines were looking for on their hike, but running across a couple of legends is a nice bonus!
Aside from the iconic statue in the town of Gravity Falls, and the OTHER iconic statue at Mystery Mountain, I was always intrigued by the little side about Stan invoking Paul Bunyan in his hour of need. (And really, given how they defeat Darlene, ol' Paul came through in the end. In a manner of speaking!)
The cannon Chaldeans are dumb. You got a foreign God hellbent on taking over the earth via bleaching of humanity, and upon the fact you learn they use trees to pin their Lostbelts to reality you don't send in the expert? Get outta here. This is how the first five lostbelts should have ended, don't @ me.
I will however @theneonflower because they drew this, and they're awesome for it.
Okay, I'll admit, WOTC's got me hooked with this one.
I'm a sucker for a well-crafted folklore reference, and I was eagerly waiting to see what they'd use for the "Blue Ox" creature type from the teaser post. They did not disappoint.
