miles is an empathetic boy; as soon as you start crying, he'll give you a hug, and even if he's a bit nervous about being so close to you, he'll stay like that for as long as you like.

gwen might get overwhelmed at first, seeing you cry makes her heart sinks in her chest and she's probably going to shed a few tears with you as well. she would hold your hand the whole time, gently squeezing it every time she hears you sob.

pavitr would become unusually quiet and would try to ask you what's wrong. if you don't answer him he'd just bring you closer to his chest, running his hand in your hair in an attempt to make you feel better. he would say things like “it's okay, I'm here for you”, insisting on the fact that he will never let you down.

hobie won't ask you anything until you're ready to talk about it. for now, he'd gladly be the shoulder you can rest and cry on. he rubs your back in a soothing way, bringing you closer to him when he feels your body trembling. he'd stay silent for the most part, randomly humming a melody to fill the silence in between your sobs.

miguel would first check if you're not injured, out of instinct. once he's sure you don't have any injuries he would ask you what is making you cry and he would try his best to give you good advice. but if it's a person who made you cry, oh boy, they can already start running for their life.

he's so sweet, he's probably planning a whole spiel on how to break it to you in the nicest way possible. and he doesn't want to do it, he hates thinking about the look on your face once he breaks it to you, but he understands it needs to be done.

๑ gwen:

the thought of leaving you terrifies her actually. you're one of the few people she let in, and allowed to get close to her. and the thought of now having to loose that is scary. she probably avoids you for a while, giving her some time to clear her head and get her story straight. after a while she reaches out to you, maybe not even face-to-face, and keeps it quite brief. it hurts her more then she lets on though.

๑ pavitr:

he's probably trying everything he can to fix it because he doesn't want to break up with you, he wants to fix it. he probably blames himself for it, and he tries so hard to fix things, because he's not used to messing up, to things not going right. it would take you a while to convince him that's it's not his fault, and that it's okay for things to sometimes not work out. i feel like he'd want to still be friends.

๑ hobie:

he doesn't sugarcoat it, or lead you on, because he understands that's the last thing you'd want. when he knows, he's telling you. although i firmly believes he's not completely heartless about it. he'd wait for the right time to calmly talk to you, because he still wants things to remain civil between you two.

๑ miguel:

he's an extremely organized and put together guy, some might even say cynical. but he's still human, still has emotions, he just has them well-sheltered. he keeps it brief, almost unemotional. he says what he needs to say, and when he sees your face, the stoicism almost falters. he gives you an inkling of comfort though, reassuring you that it's not your fault, that he still loves you, but that it needed to be done. wouldn't keep in contact much after the break-up, but would probably use his resources to check up on you every now and then.

๑ peter b:

poor guy hates it, doesn't want to break up at all, even if he sees things aren't working out. it's more likely that you'll be the one to call things off, and even then he'd be begging you to try and fix things, to work it out. eventually he'll realize it's just doing more damage to stay together, and he'd reluctantly let you go. maybe he'd even try getting back together after the break-up, to no avail unfortunately.

▸ tells you that he’s got the tissues for more emotional movies only to end up using like half of them. clutching you as tight as he can, practically using you as an emotional support teddy bear.

he’ll say something like, “why are they breaking up? they were supposed to be endgame!” and then glance at you in his arms with the most heartbroken watery eyes ever... and then get even more emotional thinking of that type of situation happening to the two of you. it takes him many gentle words and kisses for the romantic movies with sad endings

when it’s a cute and sappy movie, he’ll want to recreate every cute scene with you. it’s gotten to the point where he’ll literally point at the screen and look at you when a cute moment in the movie happens— and you’ll know exactly what he’s asking.

he’s going “that’s us :D” throughout the entire film.

I wanted to write some so here it is. Heavily based on Indian culture & things.

Is a tea addict and would not miss a chance to drink it with Parle G biscuit. Does not like to share but for his s/o, would make an exception.

Calls his love interest “Meri Jaan” (My Life) and hums the song with the same title from Gangubai Kathiawadi.

When he’s feeling somewhat naughty during a conversation; he’d wink and say “I’m not as pure as you think” and grin like he’s made the greatest pun ever (Pavitr means Pure in Hindi)

Long night walks at Juhu beach while eating ice cream or peanuts are his ideal date ideas (he lives in Mumbai after all).

LOVES LOVES LOVES ARJIT SINGH. Sings the “Main Tera” part from Kalank title track when he’s slow dancing with you. Also scrunched his nose at “Love Storiyan” like the rest of us (“what are they making him sing?!”)

Will dramatically sing the dhoomtananananaaaa music at every possible moment.

Once watched Aahat (a popular Indian show about supernatural things) at night as a kid and is now terrified of ghosts.

He will not spare anyone during holi (the Indian festival of colors) do not come near him he will paint you with colors that will not come off for at least a week.

Whenever he’s scared or stressed, he’d mumble “Deva Shree Ganesha” under his breath because the line “darr bhi uss se dara re, jiski rakhwaliya re” [“even fear is scared of the one who is guarded by Him (Lord Ganesh”)] gives him strength

For some background, Pavitr was born in Southern India (likely Tamil Nadu or Kerala) so one of his first languages was Tamil! A village / small town boy at heart.

After his parents passed at a young age he moved to Mumbattan with his Aunt Maya and Uncle Bihm (of course) and it is very very different!!!

Even from early on Pavitr was bullied because he didn't fit in with the city kids. Gets called pagal Prabhakar (crazy Prabhakar — a bit like puny Parker?) and a slew of other names because of his accent, how he mixes up the languages, and the fact that he lives with his aunt and uncle rather than his parents.

Eventually by the time he's in his early teens he "assimilates" in terms of the language and culture but he's a scrawny kid so he still gets bullied... kids are ruthless bro don't you got the JEE to study for 💀

God forbid if anyone found out about his emo phase at that time... Pavitr's just getting onto social media and when he sees the emo subculture he just takes it and runs. (He stops out of embarassment when his Aunt Maya finds out why he's stealing her kajal... There are photos out there somewhere.)

Also meets Gayatri during his lil emo phase. Definitely a chill popular girl and definitely sticks up for him (it's giving Indian Forest Gump... does anyone know about that adaptation 😭)

But he is so super concerned about getting in with Gayatri so a few weeks before the exams they're studying together (doing anything but study)

My girl Gayatri is trying to help him out and he has no idea what she's saying and she's so smart and literally knows twice the amount of info you need to know so my boy Pavitr is sweating BULLETS the day before (exam is so easy he thinks he's sitting the wrong one LMAO)

Pavitr does NOT want to stay at the dorms he'll defo miss his auntie and uncle too much (and his auntie's cooking) but he begrudgingly goes anyway...

They're roomies and Nadeesh is from Bengal and they actually bond quite easily considering they're not from Mumbattan he's a STEM boy and has a love/hate relationship with it (super smart though maybe just not at school... gadget stuff 😱)

Pavitr doesn't know a LICK of Bangla but Nadeesh teaches him some perhaps to rizz up Gayatri... (they're all vulgar or swear words or words Pavitr picked up from hearing Nadeesh's mum speak on the phone 💀)

SPEAKING OF GAYATRI yeah she's slaying school and also has a lil modelling thing going on too. STEM girlie and fashion girlie and knows multiple languages (her father knows a couple considering he's an officer)

Pavitr is a hopeless romantic but he's just hopeless when he asks her out in Bangla trying to be cool and doesn't realise he called her a whore... (he's so going to kill Nadeesh.)

She finds it HILARIOUS though and they start dating and everyone lived happily ever after and NO ANCIENT YOGI TIME MY BOY IS SPIDER-MAN NOW 🤯🤯🤯🤯

I think Pavitr's initial approach to being Spider-Man is very... impractical. Given he's just gotten his powers and gotten his naturally buff abilities and always amazing hair (yes that is part of his powers) (yes he asked the yogi for it), he's very spontaneous and disorganised. He probably has the stupidest most impractical suit and sweats like HELL in it (kind of like the one in the comics?) My boy's grades kind of take a hit and so does his little freshman year relationship with Gayatri.

My guy Nadeesh is chill though he knows instantly like Pavitr isn't subtle about it... (they're both night owls and Nadeesh is like cramming asf and Pavitr swings in without thinking and he's just like... "okay dude I have a physics exam tomorrow idgaf 😭 wait but that so cool though can I help—")

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a— Okay his Uncle Bihm dies. You know how it goes.

Gayatri breaks up with him (it's exam season and she wants to "take a break".) His uncle is dead. He's flunking school (for real this time) Emo phase 2? Maybe not...

Pavitr ends up spending a lot more time with Maya and while he's a little irrationally spiteful he learns the importance of taking care of the little family he has left. Pavitr doesn't have the privilege of that multi-generational village household he had back when he was young, or parents like the rest of his classmates. It's just him and his aunt in that little apartment, a speck in the whole of Mumbattan, the place he has to protect and call home now.

Okay that got sad real fast but HE CHERISHES HIS AUNT hence why he always makes time to have chai with her, no matter how busy he is or how emo he's feeling.

His uncle Bihm had a couple traditional pieces of clothing and Maya makes him try them on. He feels a bit silly especially since he's gotten used to pushing away his culture and mainly speaking English at his new school but then his aunt starts tearing up and he starts tearing up and "you look just like your chacha" and UGH

After a while Pavitr gets himself together and decides to design himself a new suit. He takes inspiration from a couple of his uncle's fancier pieces and also Gayatri's first advert feature (my girl is going places!!!) so his outfit has a lot of meaning to him.

We gotta go BACK for the yo-yo though y'all. I'm so certain that Gayatri had a yo-yo when they were younger and he learnt it just to impress her... SO HE HAS A YO-YO AS PART OF HIS GEAR 😱😱😱

Of course these little signs add up and Gayatri is like half-sure he's Spider-Man (but not entirely cause when she's saved in the film she's a bit taken aback when he hugs her... my girl is smart but you always got a lil uncertainty!!! Maybe she figures it out after that though...)

Obviously he flunked those exams considering he was NOT studying while he was grieving and when Gayatri checks up on him he's of course not doing the greatest despite his little comeback. However...

"I can help you review if you want?" she asks him. Pavitr's smile comes back that day.

But my boy STILL CANNOT CATCH A BREAK because Gayatri's father gets promoted to Police Captain and is suddenly very protective of his daughter

There's a lot of awkward moments where Pavitr has to play off his association with Gayatri (puts the hopeless in hopeless romantic yet again.) No, she never told him they were dating before (and those pictures are in a SAFE trust) though they're not exactly dating now.

Gayatri is pretty indifferent about it all, to be fair. She doesn't exactly care if her father finds out (and hopefully she can tell him soon) but she also doesn't want her dad to be disappointed in her considering she looks up to him a lot.

A BIT OF GAYATRI HEADCANON but I feel like she's very academically gifted but doesn't exactly want to go into STEM? Fashion is her thing and she eventually might want to go into acting (like this girl in her classes called Meera Jain... OUUU rivalry but not really they're besties I fear)

Gayatri definitely gossips and gushes to Meera Jain about Pavitr like how he gossips and gushes to Nadeesh. They both give the other contrasting advice (they're still not together... SITUATIONSHIP 💀💀💀)

It's not as bad as when Pavitr called Gayatri a whore by accident but getting together again is definitely awkward when they go to get lassi at that very overpriced store that opened up that Pavitr most definitely cannot afford (smiles and fights to pay while a part of him dies inside)

Though their relationship is stronger this time! Pavitr does still have his secret as Spider-Man, but things are looking up! Especially when he finds out that he's not the only Spider-Man (ENTER ATSV CANON STORYLINE 😱😱😱)

pavitr is suspicious of you at first, he understands that you're not a threat to the people he protects but he doesn't treat you like an ally either. he kept his distance from you until the day you saved his life; now he trusts you entirely and he likes to do his night shifts in your company. he knows you won't like it but he's very worried about you and your illegal activity, he'd rather have you doing vigilante work with him.

hobie is a big fan. he heard about you as someone who stole the rich to give to the poor and he was like “slay.” he's the one who came to you during one of your heists and asked you to team up with him. now you, pavitr and hobie want to rob museums to return all the stolen objects to their people. hobie admires you a lot, like gwen, he thinks you're the coolest person he ever met and coming from him, that means a lot.

and he doesn't even notice how overwhelmed he's been until you're asking him if he's been okay, because you've noticed his recent scatterbrained and stressed demeanor.

and before he could even think of anything to say to try and reassure you, it's spilling out of him like word vomit.

he's telling you everything, about how much pressure he's been under and how hard he's been trying to keep everyone happy.

and it felt so good to finally get everything off his chest, that he had even shed a few stray tears in the process.

gwen crying in front of you was something that shocked you at first, but something you also expected at some point.

hobie is such an expressive and tactile human being, and always so perfectly in tune with your emotions. over time, you've adapted the same ability, so you knew when he was not feeling his best.

it was so clear that whatever had happened today had shook him to his very core, had left the usually chatty young man at a complete loss for words.

and when you had asked him what happened, and he could only respond with an exasperated sigh and a shake of his head, you knew you weren't getting much out of him.

you simply offered him your presence, joining him as the both of you enjoyed the cool breeze sitting by the battered deck floor of his boat.

when you looked to your left where he sat you saw the small wet track the fresh tears had left on his cheeks, illuminated by the moonlight and quickly drying due the wind. you didn't say anything, not even when his hand found yours, placing it in an airtight grip. you knew he'd tell you when he was ready, he always did.

pav's always been such an optimistic person, always knowing exactly what to say or do whenever you were down, so when the roles were reversed, you had no idea what to really do.

it was a little jarring to see pav, the person who more often had to comfort you, now on the verge of tears.

he was telling you about how he couldn't help someone today, how he was too late, and when you heard the slight unsteadiness in his voice, you quickly wrapped your arms around him.

and the way he clung to you, you'd believe he was sinking, and you were the only thing keeping him above water.

and as he clung to you, you quietly assured him, because you knew silence was probably the last thing he needed right now with an overactive mind trying to debase him.

Miguel O'Hara:

miguel's always been such a pillar of a man, always ready to offer his comfort in any way when he knew you needed it. but he never allowed himself to be emotionally vulnerable, never wanted people to see him at a low point like that.

you knew that when miguel made himself scarce, he did it because he didn't want to be bothered. but against your better judgment, you decided to go and check him because you were worried about him. you didn't like him being alone when he got like this.

the state you found him in broke your heart. this mountain of a man looked so small and fragile, so absolutely heartbroken and sullen.

it was his daughter's birthday, another reminder of everything he had lost so quickly and unfairly. he never knew how to deal with these intense emotions, how to process them, so he'd just wait until they eventually died out and became somewhat bearable.

he didn't tell you what was wrong though, he didn't have to either. the bloodshot eyes and sullen face were enough to tell you it was something he'd either tell you about eventually, or never.

you simply made your way over to him quietly and offered him your comfort the way he always did for you. and when he wrapped himself around you and softly cried into the material of your sweater, you simply held him a little tighter.

he had been gushing to you about his daughter, as he always did. she had recently said her first word, and he had managed to get it on recording. he showed it of course, along with a few dozen other pictures he had also captured, every photo complimented with an elaborate backstory.

he was in the middle of one of those stories when it seemingly hit him. mayday was getting older, learning new things every day. soon she'd be going to big girl school, and after that high school, and then she would have to leave the house and leave him and--

he hadn't even realized he had said all of that out loud until you were reassuringly rubbing between his shoulder blades, trying to ground him and calm him down.

and he hadn't even noticed he had shed a few tears until he heard you telling you it was okay, that mayday still had a bunch of years with him and that she would never really leave her "dada", as she put it.

you're an excellent cook, probably one of the best in your life time and pavitr definitely agrees with that sentiment. everytime you walk into that kitchen, he's not too far behind already bombarding you with questions of what you're going to make and if he can be your taste-tester.

don't be fooled pavitr is perfectly capable of cooking, he just prefers yours but will gladly help you cook if you let him. otherwise, he's perched on a chair in the kitchen, chin propped up in his palm while he watches you dance around the kitchen, eyes filled with adoration.

he tries to distract you any chance he gets so he can dip a spoon into whatever you're cooking to sneak a taste. sometimes he succeeds, sometimes he doesn't but either way he always gives himself away with a yelp from burning his tongue from the heat of the food because he didn't bother to blow on it to cool it down.

He is questioning his sexuality

He thought he was straight, but as he met other spider people, specifically Hobie, things changed

They did end up taking a break tho at one point

Pavitr decided to explore himself
