I think Margo likes to kiss Miles’ hands,, the tips of his fingers and his palms and the back of his hand and the inside of his wrist.,,, she thinks it’s so delicate and tender and it always flusters him so so much she loves it

Mmm. Miles draws all his friends a lot bc they’re so cool looking but he has a small pile of sketchbooks that are JUST Margo. Like literally just full of drawings of her. He had Polaroids of her hanging up around his bed both at the dorms and at his house.

Oh Margo loooooves to cook with Rio. When she stays for dinner she’s always shadowing Rio and helping with whatever needs helping with. Jeff and Miles are banished to the couch eternally they aren’t allowed in the kitchen. Miles isn’t that bad he’s just not allowed in there bc it’s girl time. Jeff is banned from the kitchen 100% of the time

Miles is such a sappy nerd and Margo loves listening to music in unique ways so Miles has made her 3 mixtapes, burnt 5 cds, bought her all her favorites on records, recorded himself singing and given her his ‘album’ of love songs on a private website that is password protected so only she can listen to them (the password is their anniversary).

They watch shitty reality tv together and lose their minds all the time like they tune in to every episode of Bad Boy Love Island (Volcano Special) season 4 and hate it so much but oh my god they love it

Margo is very sentimental! She has saved every flower Miles ever given her and dried them out and kept them in a box under her bed. She takes the box out and looks at them when she’s sad.

They love love love to snuggle. Rio and Jeff have come home at least twenty times to find them passed out in Miles’ bed, curled around each other with sour gummy worms (Margo’s fav) and Junior Mints (Miles’ fav) spilling out of the container and onto the bed. They’re SO SILLY.

GUYS I JUST HAD A THOUGHT- Uhhh CW for abuse mentions here, goes a little in detail be careful and look out for your mental health.

Of course Margo’s home life isn’t confirmed, she could just have parents with a strained relationship who argue or they could just be awful parents- the latter of which I interpret more as I think on a thematic level it provides something that Spider-Man stories don’t often get, and also ties her in a way as being Miguel’s tech support girl because in the comics, Miguel has a horrible mother. I was thinking about Margo scenes and… I came to the scene where Margo chooses not to stop the Go Home Machine. On my first 3 viewings of the movie, I always interpreted it as just, Margo agreeing with Miles or being sympathetic towards him. But my brainrot can never let things be that simple so… what if Margo saw herself in a way. In this scene, Miguel is trying to CLAW into a space that should be safe and contained, where Miles is trying to escape and he’s scared. He’s really scared. And it made me think- what if here Margo saw a lot of herself in Miles here. Escaping off into being Spider-Byte in her bedroom and her parents trying to break down her door or yelling at her for locking it, which is a rather common experience, abusers trying to remove any sense of escape, safety or privacy. ( Of course not saying Miguel is an abuser here, it’s not a direct analogy and is just an emotional response of Margo’s. )

I headcanon here that Margo sees herself in Miles, a scared kid trying to escape. And in this moment, she lets him escape, he gets an opportunity that at home she doesn’t really have. Of course it’s never explored in this movie but on another note- I can see Margo being jealous or guilty of her home situation in comparison to other Spiders. Miles has loving parents, Gwen has a complex relationship with her dad but they still love each other, and Peter’s parents are dead, along with Uncle Ben. Margo on the other hand, has two living parents, there’s no mutual love, and there’s no Aunt May to save her and take care of her. She just has shitty parents and maybe she feels she has no right to complain when most of her colleagues parents are straight up dead. Just an idea- but it makes me wonder if maybe she and Miguel kind of bond over this? Being the only few Spiders on my radar that probably have/have an abusive parent(s). I think Margo is pretty smart, not that the Spiders who believe in canon aren’t, but I think Margo has logically thought about the canon. I don’t think she believes in it because she just doesn’t seem like the type of person to, but I think she had no reason to oppose it until Miles came along. The Spider Society is a safe place for her after all, and maybe it’s a place where she can bond with a parental figure in Miguel. But when Miles arrives she realizes something, maybe it’s not so safe. And maybe Miguel and the society aren’t as good as she thought them to be. Her initial betrayal of Miguel is an emotional reaction but I think further thinking cements her into joining Gwen’s side.

This kind of devolved into several Margo interpretations and headcanons- but yeah I have lots of thoughts on her. She better get more screentime next movie.

margo knows "G" has it rough. the other girl only comes online to escape--margos the same, but G's situation always felt more dangerous.

there was a lot of rules. no logging on at certain times, mass deleting chats on both ends--prolonged periods of radio silence, then G popping up again acting like nothing happened.

it was like she was scared of getting caught and margo was too scared for her friend (and fairly young 11-13 probably) to really be of any help

but the girls DO have fun together. they learn about this ever expanding cyber world see it change over the few years. G is the first person to teach margo about the more technical side of cyber security/ programing.

Ok I’m going to see ATSV again later this week and will update the age chart afterwards, I’m thinking a completely new post.

I am going to update Hobie’s age to what that director said his character design was based off of, because I did kinda think that age range before the news came out per my previous post. I can also do a mini essay of why I thought that originally and how I think his comics fit into the timeline with all that, similar to what I did with noir. I can also do this with Miguel, Margo(whose comics I somehow HAVEN’T read!), Peni, and Pav too, but I probably won’t with Miles, Gwen, and PB because I feel like their stories are told enough on screen where we don’t really need it. Jessica Drew is still the only one I’m a little stuck on age wise, so maybe I’ll go over her comics? After this next viewing I’ll probably only update it again after BTSV or if one of the creators specifies smth.

But please let me know your thoughts and opinions on the ages, especially for Jessica and Mayday(I’m guesstimating for her).

How people are treating Hobie Brown, and British punks / people as a whole, reeks of classism, privilege and plain ignorance. It's so painfully obvious when somebody who has no clue about punk history, or even the basic idea of poverty in Britain, writes about or speaks about Hobie and his universe.

Let's also discuss the way people immediately assume Hobie is a thief who has no hygiene, and how that's a god damn issue. There is NO mention in the comics or movie of him not washing himself or being a kleptomaniac, not only that, but aren't wicks hard to maintain? It's obvious he doesn't use 3 in 1.

This assumption of Hobie is racism and that much is obvious, but is also rooted in classist beliefs and common stereotypes about punks used to demonise the movement. People also threw around this 'headcanon' in the first movie with Miles, it's a CLEAR pattern.

Don't even get me started on cishet people in this fandom and how heteronormative / homophobic people are in regards to Hobie. 'B-But Hobies universe is the 70's 🥺🥺 he'd hate gay and trans people...👉👈' Do your god damn research?? The punk and LGBTQ+ movements have always been closely intertwined. I have seen a comic panel where Hobie literally kisses Captain Anarchy, but even if that isn't real and was edited, he is still friends with Captain Anarchy, who's a confirmed gay man.

All in all, please, for the love of god, just treat Hobie Brown like you treat Peter Parker. Treat him like the well written character that he is. He's not some racist, classist stereotype you can push your bigoted beliefs onto.

🤭🤭 You’re not prying at all, you don’t know how massive the grin was that spread across my face when I saw this ask.

Margo and Miles are so near and dear to me; I can’t explain it further than me just really connecting with them.

I just find them so relatable.

Anyway, in terms of actual storylines and scenarios, I’d really like to explore their dynamic in terms of their inner conflicts and how they mentally gauge things.

I wanna explore everything about my headcanon about Margo’s slight derealization, (still don’t know if that’s the correct term) and how exactly she navigates being at the Spider Society and interacting with the Spider-people around her-especially Miles.

I mean we all saw that spark between them and the way they looked at each other, you can’t tell me that Margo’s mind wasn’t shocked out of her body when that happened.

She connected with someone, someone she just met and not in a “oh we’re both spider-teens” kinda way. They connected in an insanely deep way that we didn’t get to see and I can’t imagine how game changing that would be for Margo.(well I can actually, which is why I’m writing about it)

I just think that when they got that ZAP! It kinda delivered a shock to Margo’s own nervous system, beyond the hologram.

This wasn’t Spider-Man and Spiderbyte, it was Margo and Miles.

She actually felt something beyond the virtual reality and the Spider society. She wouldn’t be able to just ignore that. It occupies her brain everytime she sees him, and even when she doesn’t see him.

And with Miles I really wanna get into how it’s kinda implied slightly (very slightly) that wants to go into physics so he can find Gwen and Peter again.

His immediate thought about the Spider Society is getting a watch so he can see these people he relates too more often.

And then he meets Margo.

And he experiences that same Zap! (It was more of a Ziing!) that he felt when saw the Peter from his dimension.

He definitely made that connection. And after feeling betrayed by two people he wanted to see most, I feel like the fact that he just met someone and felt that sense in his head go off…

He’d feel something deeper for Margo.

And let’s not forget her helping him out like we all saw that loaded eye contact.

TLDR: I wanna take that initial connection they had and sink my hands into it, and expound upon it every way until I get them out of my head.

a headcanon that is popular in the fandom but that i disagree with: All the weird 'adopting' D.Va headcanons they had back when the game was first coming out. Like... D.Va still has her own dad, guys.... I'm glad D.Va's been fleshed out as her own character since then and basically edged that headcanon out.

the position they sleep in: Flat on his back, hands folded over stomach. But also does The Dad Thing where he easily falls asleep with his arms crossed in a comfy chair if you just turn a TV on.

Spiderbyte strawberry dresses:

Widow discovers the trend first and orders one in black from the original designer. Custom made for her and floorlength. She loves it and tips generously.

Sombra makes a DIY version with strawberrys that are connected to her cybernetics and can glow in the dark. It’s also black. Sometimes the strawberries are purple. It’s a mood thing, Sombra says.

Together, they attend Talon’s annnual summer barbecue, ridiculously overdressed. Akande loves it. He has tried to elevate the dress code of casual get togethers ever since he joined Talon.

Everytime someone tries to take a photo, Sombras’s strawberries flash in such a bright light that it completly blurs her out. Reaper excuses himself from the event. It’s too hot for all his leather and he still hasn’t mastered the grill.
