Ocean birds were a rare sight for Cécile. She had traveled to Costa Rica for the Latin American population of birds, intent on studying their distribution, and now she was aboard an ocean base filled soldiers and rebels and all sorts. A radical change of pace but one that she found herself enjoying.

As she often did when she had a spare moment, Cécile was bird watching near the railing. The waves and distance made it too difficult to record, but she carried her sketchbook and had a keen eye. It was only a brief peripheral glance, when she was trying to tame her windswept hair, that she noticed Kaz’s approach.

Cécile half turned, sketchbook tucked under her arm, and waved. “Salut, Monsieur Miller. What brings you over here? There are no steam locomotives for you here, only the sounds of nature.” She could not help but tease a little.

#fans of #thecult got a shock 32 years ago today when they released their follow up to #love. Initially called #peace and utilizing the same producer, the band became dissatisfied with it and after meeting #rickrubin scrapped the whole thing and started over. The result was a lean, mean beast of a #rocknroll album which was fine in and of itself but fans of their #60s #psychedelia and #goth sound had trouble accepting what they took to be an #acdc homage. I myself took it for what it was, and enjoyed the many strong songs it contains including #loveremovalmachine #wildflower #lildevil #peacedog and #outlaw; however it is considerably harmed by a leaden cover of #steppenwolf’s #borntobewild, maybe the worst version I’ve heard. A fine album, though I prefer its predecessor. Some of the tracks that were scrapped were later recycled as b sides, others were eleased as #themanorsessions; in the #00s all those songs were compiled in their originally intended running order and released together with the Love album, allowing fans to hear what they might have gotten 25 years earlier had #ianastbury and #billyduffy not changed their minds. #music https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv7rCI2gYI_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1rodx1va42yop

David had hesitated in answering Master Miller’s request to go out to eat. Not because he was against the idea but he didn’t expect the question. Something about going out to eat was incredibly familiar in a way David wasn’t used to. Not even the women he asked out, the compliments and flirtations spilling unthinkingly, was something he followed through with. 

But Master Miller was different. He was almost, in a weird way, like some sort of pseudo family. Like a lot of the guys in the military that he had met. Brothers in arms. Going out to eat? Sure, it even sounded nice. 

“Cheese fondue, right?” A strange detail to remember after everything that happened. David nodded. “We should go before I move.”

Does my muse dislike yours? truthfully I gotta say that yes, she knows kaz hates and distrusts her. and he should! they all should. she comes in there ready to kill them and their little cell doesn’t hold her as well as they like to think. she’s a willing prisoner. so she doesn’t dislike him for that. she views herself as a tool and tools don’t have feelings so she’s more neutral than anything. she doesn’t want nor need his approval and only really dislikes him if he upsets venom

Would my muse kill someone for yours? If it benefited something else she was already doing, or if it was for someone else...sort of like, their goals happened to align

Would my muse kill your muse? she would not have an issue doing it but it’s not something she’s set on doing either, unless he tried to hurt venom

Would my muse save yours? if that happened to align with her goals/orders from elsewhere, yes, or she felt he was useful for some reason. like venom still wants him around so yes

Does my muse find your muse attractive? Eh...not really (nothing personal, she doesn’t find many people attractive cause it’s not something she thinks about a lot)

In all his years, very little had shaken David. Training was not just conditioning his body or sharpening his skills, but reacting under pressure, handling the unexpected. Yet how did one prepare to learn who their father was?

Growing up in foster homes he’d thought about it a lot, even imagined it more than a few times, but those were the bygone dreams of a boy, and none of those fantasies had included his father being the legendary Big Boss himself. 

More than that, the man didn’t seem to want anything more than to give him the information. Like he might give him an order or a piece of intel. It was a fact and that was all it was. But to David, what did it mean, if anything? Thoughts awhirl, he mulled over the information for a bit before deciding that he needed to talk to someone. Gray Fox had become a close friend since joining Foxhound, but his thoughts turned to someone else first.

Coming to a stand in front of a closed door, David knocked sharply three times. “Master Miller?”

Bios are very important to me. I like hearing about that person’s version of their character. I do not expect anyone to line up exactly with canon and, tbh, a lot of the fun of RP is to diverge from canon and make the character your own. Besides, none of us are the original authors (barring ocs) so it’s absolutely going to be different. Own it, tell people about your character! I love to read it.

I wouldn’t say refuse but I am super picky with o.uat blogs I follow. Extremely so. There’s many things that I’m picky about and I find the fandom is largely not as discerning, at least in my experience. There’s a ton I would like to explore in the setting but I don’t want to have to hold back my thoughts or try to explain why I think a lot of the writing/character arcs are bad, and I don’t think I’m a good fit for those people either.
