wooo a polycule configuration! explanations under the cut <3

okay so basically:

pearl + amethyst - these two are attracted to each other and enjoy eachothers company, but if they were to become anything more than fwb it would be bad for the team. they also just piss each other off more often than not, and they both understand they would be toxic for each other. the original relationship in the polycule. romantic/sexual/physical

pearl + peridot - the first succeasful relationship to form! they became closer when they worked on the barn together. a lot of bickering turned into kisses eventually. everyone but garnet was shocked by the development. qpr/physical

amethyst + peridot - the second to form! amethyst's teasing turned into flirty advances, which flustered peridot to no end. peridot was not immune.

peridot + lapis - the third relationship to form began a while into lapis' stay at the barn. qpr/physical (no kissing)

pearl + lapis - both of them were in denial about each other, but hey. what could they do? lapis didn't want to have feelings for someone who was once her captor, and pearl didn't want to crush on someone she had to once fight. but, pearl had a heart-to-heart witha lapis, where the feelings came out. now they are inseparable. romantic/sexual/physical.

lapis + amethyst - they are metamours, and that's about as far as their relationship extends. they frequently hang out with their partners separately, but they don't dislike each other.
