Sapphire before she meets Ruby and Pearl: I'm not a spontaneous gem I plan everything, and I like it that way my life holds no surprise that I'm not aware of.

Sapphire after meeting them:

My life is nothing but spontaneous series of events I can't control and I guess I'm fine with that.

Ruby runs past holding a stick screaming at the top of her voice freedom followed by Pearl who is carrying a sword laughing with a flag attached to it.

Sapphire: Well I wasn't expecting that at all.

Short story

Fairy lights were amazing weren't they in there own way. Dazzling, and bright and full of life at least that how I felt. Standing by myself I tried not to think to hard about what's happening around me. I try to focus on the hands I'm holding I know I'm safe with the people I'm with. The crowd around me is crushing me slowly I feel my hands shaking but the hands are there strong and sure. Looking down I'm met with the back of Ruby's head who is leading us to a movie theater nearby. Looking behind me I'm surprised by how happy Sapphire looks. Feeling a smile spread across my face I try not to laugh. Life is amazing as long we're all together.

Ruby leaves the room in a huff a few minutes later.

Pearl: Sapphire Help!

Oh now THIS. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL RAREPAIR.

- Tol x Smol dynamic

- They both ground eachother; Ruby helps Pearl when she’s anxious, and Pearl calms Ruby down when she’s angry.

- Everyone imagines that they wouldn’t get along but they actually play off eachother very well. Pearl enjoys Ruby’s humor and Ruby’s impressed with her fighting abilities.

- Pearl gets insulted and is like “WAIT TILL MY GIRLFRIEND HEARS ABOUT THIS” and you expect this massive 8 foot powerhouse to walk out only for this shorty angry cube to come stompin’ your way

- Ruby’s hugs are warm and safe and that’s what Pearl needs sometimes.

- They bicker like an old married couple

- Pearl gives Ruby hand kisses like a true knight.

- Ruby takes every piggyback ride she can get because she enjoys feeling tall outside of fusion

- Pearl instinctively knows when to pull Ruby away before she sets something on fire and carries her around like a football

- Other gems are like “Wow, Ruby! How did you get your own Pearl?!” And she’s like “That’s my fucking W I F E”

I’m rewatching the ep and,,,, what’s the ship name for Ruby/Sapphire/Pearl? because like,,,,,, both Sapphire and Pearl were pretty emotional about Ruby being gone 👀👀👀

I canNOT believe the Pearupphire content we’ve been getting in this arc but the best part about it is seeing the shippers crawl out of the woodwork and eat it up like table scraps …… we are but starving gremlins and Rebecca has provided us with a feast
