The #bee story - while traveling from #mansfieldtx to my hometown of #bandera #texas we chose to go through #goldthwaitetx . Something caught my eye on the front of the courthouse. Very large bee cluster on the 3rd floor. After three days of tracking down the right guy at the city office- the bees are soon to find a new productive life. Last night (close to 7.45pm) my mom and I heard this crashing noise. At first wasn't sure if aliens had landed (this is what happens after 8 hrs of watching epix original series War of the Worlds). So, like any horror movie starts the noise is investigated. Luckily, this is reality and not Hollywood - but hey, life is stranger than fiction. My pecan tree in the backyard decided a branch was too heavy and fell, gently fainting like on my roof. Here's the yin and yang - I'm unemployed and can't really afford to get it taken care of, but luckily I have a metal roof that held up. And, my neighbor heard the crash and came to my rescue helping to break down the branch into smaller pieces. This is a pecan tree. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas in my early formative years. Picking, peeling and eating the raw nuts which was a fantastic experience. .
