I have always loved #CarlOrff’s #CarminaBurana a #classical #choralworks but not of the #sacred but the #profane. The opening #OFortuna is especially #enthralling. . While @Telarc’s recording is #superior in terms of #recording #technology, it is #Sony’s release that is #artistically #sublime (it is still the only version that has received the elusive rosette 🏵️ by the panel of critics at #PenguideGuide). Thus as a #teenage #student with limited #financial resources, I picked the latter for its #artistic value. . Fast forward 30 years, #Telarc has finally published its own version with a very current #vinyl edition.
