And here's my half of the art trade with @fishing4stars. It's a scene from her fic The Forest in Winter, featuring Legolas (and the cast which is not shown) wandering into a fairytale lilac wood with its magical inhabitants.
The scene was a delight to do; thank you for this trade!

Halfway through Funguary, and here is a lilac bonnet mushroom - just in time for Valentine's Day! (This is a lie)

I’m having so much fun reading up on the Lamy Dark Lilac situation. Utterly fascinated by how a company that produces a somewhat niche product (fountain pen ink) has absolutely no idea said ink has a cult following. How could they not know?
(As someone who missed out on the original Dark Lilac ink I must say I’m disappointed. It’s not the same colour, it shouldn’t be called the same, my quest to find the perfect purple ink goes on)

[id: five photos, the first two of marker drawings and the last three sketches done in pen. The first two photos show a Torracat yelling, a Wurmple sleeping, and two Joltiks.
The third sketch page includes a human pokemon oc, Sol, who is a white person with their hair shaved on one side, and wears a long black coat with stripes on the sleeves. The first sketch shows them smiling, and another of Sol with a Torracat perched on their shoulders. There are also two sketches of a Galvantula, another Torracat, and two of a Zoroark, one somewhat ominous labeled "what the dog doin".
The next sketch page shows a Hisuian Lilligant, named Phyll. The first couple drawings are fairly on model before it starts to diverge with unique traits. One sketch shows her alongside either Ingo or Emmet (impossible to tell) with greatly exaggerated shoe sizes, labeled in all caps, "clown shoes". There are also a couple sketches of a Hisuian Goodra.
The final sketch page has several possums, one walking, two screaming, and one curled up holding its tail. There is also a fifth incomplete sketch. End id]
Some misc sketches I've done lately :]

2023 Week 21: Lilac blossoms, a regular feature of the end of May in Minnesota.
Currently reading The Genius of Birds by Jennifer Ackerman. From Chapter Four: “Scientists recently identified such personality differences in the chickadee, which helps to explain the diverse behaviors around our freshly filled birdfeeder—the one apparently tyrannical little individual that is so adept at hogging all the seed, while another skulks timidly along the sidelines. Some chickadees are bold, “fast” explorers, slapdash and reckless, while others are “slow,” cautious and thorough. We take for granted the range of personality differences in our own species. Why shouldn’t such variety exist in others?”
