Every chapter I’m like “this chapter probably won’t be half the length of an actual novel” and every chapter I’m proven wrong.
#people out here writing full 50k novels and I’m like that’s two chapters of YCDHN#for all of you who do not weep at the sight of my chapter lengths and run screaming#you’re the real ones#I’m always flashing back to people who are like if I read a chapter longer than 4k I get anxious#and I’m like oh okay#i can do that if I have to but it feels so dumb to me#YCDHN’s chapters are designed that way because of the outline#so it’s just I set it up to have this many chapters and for every arc to be contained to five chapters#that’s just the style#idk why I’m always so worried about it#who am I trying to appeal to?#the fic will be 1 million words no matter what#my writing#you can’t deny high noon
