And Maine makes 50! Been wanting to explore it for years; I’ve now been to all 50 states in this amazing U.S.A. We stayed in Bar Harbor (cute little town) and hiked and paddled in Acadia National Park. 🌲 🌲🌲 This is a great time to explore the wild. Hiking was serene - hardly a soul on the trails. Went Paddleboarding off Bridge Street Bar Harbor and we were completely alone on the island. 🏖🏖🏖 Oh and did you know that Maine Wild Blueberries grow like weeds EVERYWHERE here! Picking them for lunch made me so happy. 🔆🔆🔆 Maine is the furthest we’ve ever driven the van. Drew and I have driven across country 10 times and this drive back home makes it number 11. 🚘 Next: visit Drew’s bad Ass Uncle Jerry at his cabin in Binghamton NY. Turning this Dream Machine back in the Westerly direction. Taking our sweet time. We aren’t in a hurry to go home - our gallery biz is dead and California is a little crazy. Gong to enjoy life and squeeze as much out of it as we can. Today I was having a conversation with a customer during which she told me about a wonderful fruit bread at her favourite bakery (you'll come to learn that many of my conversations end up somewhere between food and chocolate). I told her that it sounded delicious and I may have to go buy a loaf to try. I had finished her property and was working several houses up when I heard her sweet voice call for me out her car window. She had driven out to that bakery and purchased a loaf of this decadent bread for me to share with my family tonight. To her, it was a small act but to me it was heart warming and a true form of kindness. Actually so honoured and humbled to have been told this. * I used to spend most of my time pointing out my flaws and what was wrong with me. * Now I try and see my positives like - my eye colour is quite beautiful, I am losing a lot of weight, I am extremely funny... etc. * But to be told when I am quickly approaching 30 (3 months to go) that I look between bloody 20 and 25.
