We’re on a journey of growth together. I feel lucky to be supported by strong, empowered women. 💫 These two girls have helped me grow into the future version of myself by lifting me up, encouraging me and celebrating 🙌 my wins with me! I feel so grateful. 💕 You can't grow into your dream life alone. But I know so many who don't have supportive "people" in their lives. 😞 If that's you, start with YOU. Support your own dreams. Then support the dreams of those you care about. BE THE EXAMPLE and it will come back to you. What does support look like? Helping them hit their goals. Sharing their art/work/stuff with the world. Bragging ☺️on them because you're proud of them. Lift them up when they get discouraged. Remind them of the importance of their dream. And celebrate 🙌 their wins. ☀️☀️☀️ It means pushing away any jealousy 😣you feel if they do something better (because you have your own wonderful gift). When my girlfriends do something grand, I'm so proud of them and I brag "she's my friend, and look at how cool she is!" 😄 And they do the same for me. This is a shout out to all my friends and family who support mine and other’s growth - there are so many I can't list them all here. But you certainly know who you are! And know that I love 💕 you and I support you, too. Thanks @andreachristine369 and @christine_e_odonnell for helping me grow into the leader that I always dreamed of. 🔥Creating the Sisters of the Moon Collective with you two has been a life changer. Now I’m caught up! Day two of the @carveouttimeforart #2020cotfachallenge is to share a big goal. Since I just said that I was letting go of fear, I’m going to share it here, even though it scares the bejeezus out of me to even put it out here. (Whatever bejeezus is...) But here goes, like most of America, I want to write a book. Or a couple. Specifically, this book is about creativity and the business of art. I’ve spent years writing in journals about it, thinking about it, and have outlined most of it in a haphazard way. What if it’s not relevant? Or not valuable? Or already been done? Or people think it stupid? I don’t know, but it comes from my own point of view, and I’d like to think I am not alone in my perspective, which is why I want to share it, even if I’m not ready. Day 4 is Saturday... still catching up on this 21day challenge but loving it. This is the art book I’m currently reading. No pictures in this which is definitely an unusual art book for me but one of the best I’ve read so far as making a difference in how I choose to step into me as an artist and business women. Love the advice and wisdom shared by Maria Brophy. And Maine makes 50! Been wanting to explore it for years; I’ve now been to all 50 states in this amazing U.S.A. We stayed in Bar Harbor (cute little town) and hiked and paddled in Acadia National Park. 🌲 🌲🌲 This is a great time to explore the wild. Hiking was serene - hardly a soul on the trails. Went Paddleboarding off Bridge Street Bar Harbor and we were completely alone on the island. 🏖🏖🏖 Oh and did you know that Maine Wild Blueberries grow like weeds EVERYWHERE here! Picking them for lunch made me so happy. 🔆🔆🔆 Maine is the furthest we’ve ever driven the van. Drew and I have driven across country 10 times and this drive back home makes it number 11. 🚘 Next: visit Drew’s bad Ass Uncle Jerry at his cabin in Binghamton NY. Turning this Dream Machine back in the Westerly direction. Taking our sweet time. We aren’t in a hurry to go home - our gallery biz is dead and California is a little crazy. Gong to enjoy life and squeeze as much out of it as we can. I love when artists come to visit me! Rock and Roll artist Nancy Spurlock traveled all the way from Las Vegas to attend our Full Moon 🌕 gathering. (And she brought her friends!) She told me it was my book ART MONEY SUCCESS that made her realize, 6 years ago, that she could earn a living as an artist. Being married and working together for over 20 years is not always easy, but it's as easy as you let it! Life has thrown @drewbrophy and I some tough lessons. We survived the crash of 2008, a death in the family, business woes, Covid shutdown and loss of some big biz dreams in 2020. But, these last 6 months of Drew almost dying was a doozy. I learned that I'm a survivor, I'm strong as an OX and I can handle it. I learned that I LOVE this man so much that I would do anything for him. I learned how to be an absolute BULL DOG to fight for his best care, even though I hate confrontation. I also learned that PEOPLE ARE SO GOOD! I've always loved people, but I love them even more now that I've seen how generous, loving and compassionate the human race really is. Today I'm claiming that life is EASY FOR ME. I'm challenging myself to see all of the upsets and annoyances are actually funny and not a big deal (a printer that won't work, a microphone that died during a podcast, a lost biz deal, Drew's kidney stones, etc!) My mantra today is "LIFE IS EASY. PEOPLE ARE LOVING. I CAN LAUGH IT OFF!" I'll be muttering this to myself all day so I can get my mind to believe it and so it becomes my truth. Sort of like brainwashing myself. The more you hear something, the more you tend to believe it. So why not make it something you WANT to come true?!
