just read Chalice of the Gods, my thoughts:

Iris is an icon, legend, and probably one of the better gods

Percy, Annabeth, & Grover continue to have the cutest friendship

Why so many FNAF refences? not mad but it was a little strange

this was such a good reminder of how funny Percy is & how accurate the nickname persassy is

Blanche's prank for scary stories was so genius

The god of old age complaining about crossword puzzles is such an old person move

Hope Percy gets those other two recommendation letters

yall I just know Annabeth would have such a love hate relationship with architecture school. like, design studios are so unlike anything in the mortal and magical world. it's so collaborative and yet competitive and so wonderfully and tortuously fast-paced for being able to design something like a building at the end of 9-15 weeks (depending on your program). design is such a beautifully nonlinear process that many neurodivergent brains can understand in a really different way from traditional school. but it's also really littered with jargon and inaccessible practices, bias, and harmful histories. I would actually do anything to hear more about Annabeth in design school.

Luke's betrayal is so funny when you read chalice of the gods and realize he technically aged out at 18 and could have left whenever he wanted but then chose to stay to "help the kids" only to leave like a year later. Like my guy should have been at the club not fighting children. Reading the original pjo books I always thought Luke was so old compared to everyone else because all the other kids died off and he was the last left of the older gen but no they probably left as soon as they could. He had no business to be at camp still and you cant even say he stayed for annabeth because he left her at camp.
