Sorry for the absence, I was in highschool, which I've GRADUATED FROM! Ignore that I graduated early June, I'm working on college stuff too.

So, I'm back to work here >:3

• At first, Peso thought Shellington was constantly in the med bay because of how accident prone he is

• Shellington mirrors Peso's stims, Peso mirrors Shellington's stims. They stim loop for HOURS

• Shellington would use "I want to learn first aid" as an excuse to spend more time with Peso without being hurt

• Alternatively, Peso would use "I want to learn more about this creature so I can provide better care" as an excuse to spend more time with Shellington with Shellington being hurt

• Dashi and Kwazii are the ones that ultimately got them together

• It was obvious to every that they were both pining after each other. Really obvious. Even Barnacles caught on. Do better.

• Catch these two info dumping at 3am, Peso half asleep and still talking while Shellington is vibrating in place waiting for their turn again

• Peso did Shellington's top surgery. It's canon, I was the bandage roll on the top shelf

• Shellington likes to bite, Peso preens (canon to their real life uhhhhh... alternates, animals, idk, o forgot the word)

• Shellington doesn't understand a single bit of Spanish. Peso always compliments him and says loving phrases in Spanish to them

• Family reunions are chaotic

• While Shellington has a small family, Peso's is big enough to fill a convention building with people still waiting outside

• Picture a baby penguin pointing at Shellington and saying, "Mama! Look at this weird penguin! He's got a lot of fuzzy feathers!" While Peso is trying not to laugh in the background

• Peso is the honorary 2nd father/older brother to the Vegimals now, I don't make the rules

• They have mini dates in the Gup E. Tweak has a strict "Don't let Shellington touch the wheel" with that gup

Octonauts x Sky: CoTL AU. if you even care

The main 8 are a group of Skykids who all were born during Season of Abyss. They call themselves the Octonauts, led by one named Barnacles. They’re dedicated to finding and helping any and all other Light Creatures that are in need of help, but are most often found in Isle of Dawn helping Moths through their first hours of life.

Some notes:

• All names are the same as they were in the og show.

• Tunip is the leader of a partnering group called the Vegimals. He’s the main representative of them, and the Vegimals most commonly work in the Sanctuary Islands. They have higher swimming ability than the Octonauts.

• The Gups are another partnering group called, well, the Gups. Their leader is Octopod (Polly/Jarvis). They work best in Golden Wasteland, and are very skilled at distracting/fighting Dark Creatures.

I have designs for the Gups and Lars (who’s going to have a VERY different role than you may expect), please look forward to them in another post :)

Okay Octonaut fandom here are my headcanons:

Peso is fully in love with Kwazii and everyone but Kwazii can see it

Kwazii loves Peso but doesn't know it

Shellington & Tweak are best friends

Shellington is asexual

Tweak is a lesbian

Captain Barnacles & Dashi hooked up once & now one of them wants to be exclusive while the other insists it was a one-time-thing

Okay massive info dump for my 1938-1939 octonauts au- Sorry

Beware is mentions homophobia, racism, and sexism - I am not homophobic at all! I hate all that so much!!!

But everyone was like that, it was the 30s

In this au unlike the official Octonauts, everyone is human and everyone is American (unless stated otherwise) as this takes place in New York City from 1938-1939. sorry this will be long.

Barnacles is a thirty-two year old cruise captain with traditional masculine values. He stands by his principles and stands for what he thinks is right. He is somewhat sexist and homophobic, not because he is a bad person, because everyone is at this time. He is simply following values his father had taught him.

Dashi is his sweet twenty-seven year old girlfriend. He has to leave her during the summer periods of the year thanks to his profession. They really do love each other, but she gets a little fed up with with his masculine views sometimes. She is a typical young woman of her time- listening to popular singers and artists like Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby, and Fred Astaire on the radio.

Kwazii is a twenty-eight year old New York gangster of the thirties. He is an associate of the Gambino crime family and has ties to several Italian “made men” of the crime family. He is really unhappy in this line of work, but is far too deep to go back now. He is a criminal whether he likes it or not.

Peso is a young twenty-five year old Spanish immigrant looking to start a life for himself in America as a doctor. Though he is having a hell of a time finding his place. As an immigrant he is already treated differently, but he is also secretly homosexual- something frowned upon by society. He finds himself treating a ginger man named Kwazii with whom he quickly falls in love. He is aware of the man’s crime connections but is too infatuated by him to care.

Shellington is a thirty-one year old scientist at New York University in the department of biology. He is considered nerdy and weird. Women don’t pay attention to him and are put off but his hyper-fixation on biology. He pretends all is fine and dandy but is actually very lonely and sad. He buries his feelings in his work and tries to forget his sadness. He and Dashi grew up together and consider each other siblings.

Tweak is a thirty-four year old woman working at her father Marsh’s shoe shop. Her father desperately urges her to get married, but she is passionate about woman’s rights and is very vocal about how she doesn’t need a man to live her life. So she has been deemed a spinster who is not worth the trouble of talking to by men. Despite her saying she is glad men pay no attention to her, she is very lonely. She and Barnacles are acquainted with each other because Barnacles buys his shoes at her store.

Inkling is a fifty-seven year old professor teaching biology at New York University. He is a mentor to Shellington and helps him get over his loneliness. The professor is madly in love with the Chinese immigrant, forty-three year old Min, whom he had met years ago. He is ashamed because mixed race couples are frowned upon, but is driven crazy by his feelings for her. He can’t tell anyone as he is supposed to be a respected conservative man to everyone who knows him or takes his class.

The story takes place from around Christmas 1938 to the beginning of World War II (September 1st 1939). The story is about unexpected people of the thirties, and America — Barnacles and Dashi’s in this case — learning to judge people for who they are and not for their race, nationality, sexuality, gender, or interests.

Cassie does not exist in my AU. But hypothetically-

If Roxanne found this lost child she would report it to Vanessa and have her help Cassie. As is the protocol for children that are found on the premises after hours.

If Roxy found her while she had the "bug" in her system? She would have attacked and maybe even killed Cassie :x

That's.. actually a really good idea.

For a long time I never went back to the comic because the writing I did was awful. Everyone was acting out of character, it was SUPER dramatic. I wrote Peso's character all wrong. Uhg, awful awful awful.

And then I was kept away from going back because people would not stop asking me to finish it. "Why did you abandon this comic?" "Are you gonna finish it?" "Why did you stop drawing it" "Go back and finish the crab comic" Like, it was so frustrating.

...Buuuuutt,, rewriting it? Hmmm... I'm way too wrapped up with projects to start this anytime soon. But I wont lie this ask really got me thinking about it-

I dug into the series a bit and took a look around the fanbase. And I decided that it just wasn't really my thing.

Although I did love the character designs and I think they'd be really fun to draw, I didn't think I'd get along with the fandom. I can see myself huddled in my own little corner with all my headcannons and stuff, and I wouldn't really want to interact with anyone else. :/

Also my favorite character is probably Julie or Howdy XDD

I use an XPPen Artist 13.3 Pro. Its a tablet with a screen! :))

As for my drawing program I use FireAlpaca. Its free and really good for beginners and pros! Highly recommend if you're just getting into digital art. Also thank you!! :D

I disagree actually. The "bug" aside, they are in no way programed to hurt anyone. They are programmed to have full obedience to staff and Managers.

They could try to stop them, and they could physically stand in their way. But you wouldn't see Freddy straight up punching an employee to keep him away from Bonnie.

What is NOT my responsibly is to prevent little kids from seeing my bloody Octonauts artwork. That's the parents job. XD THEY should be keeping an eye on their kids and making sure they're not browsing sites like Tumblr XDD

Wanna know a good place to start if you genuinely struggle with that? Make 1 character that is based off of you. And then make a second character that is based off of someone in your life that you have 0 romantic interest in what so ever. Like your Mom, or your Dad, siblings, Uncle, dog literally anyone. It should be impossible to twist those 2 characters together because they are modeled after you and ur mom. You should look at them and say "thats me and my mom" or "thats me and my brother" Those 2 should then be characters that are 100% protected from becoming a ship. :0

This actually reminded me of my transformer ocs. I modeled the characters after the drivers/owners. And people wanted to ship them together and I was like "for 1 they are my OCs so thats kind'a odd but 2 those two characters are based off of siblings. They absolutely should not- in ANY universe, be paired together"

Personally not a huge fan of the bright blue color he has. Seeing his Bonnie Bowl artwork everywhere I expected him to be his usual purple..

As for my Bonnie I think he'd get along pretty well with his Glamrock counterpart! But when it comes to the Bowling ally they'd be rivals. >:)

1: Yes! My Peach, Daisy, Wario and Waluigi are all the same species, which is not human. They are this incredibly tall elf like species that closely resembles humans and has many biological similarities.. but ultimately they are very different species.

2: Its hard to say.. I've been known to change my mind a lot so maybe? Honestly I hope that someday these feelings towards fanart will vanish and I will be able to engage with my fans more. But for now,, noooo fanworks :(

tbh im not to big on Barnacles ships, but i was bored and wanted to draw, so here ya go! :D

besides, i feel like this could easily be read as either platonic or romantic.

And heres the part of the post where Bailey shares his arbitrary headcannons (also new boarder :D)

So in relation to the picture, In my art a lot of the crew's causal outfits are sweaters. Peso has one, Shellington has one, and now The Captain has one! Thats bc all the Octonauts have their own cute little sweaters! One of Shellington's other interests- besides Marine Biology and Drawing/ writing, is crochet! And the sweater the crew members wear were made by him! :]

Also, notice the drawing in Shellington's journal? It's the cone-snail! He has a dedicated page and drawing for every animal they encounter, listing notes about it's appearance, behavior, defense, eating habits, everything! He loves sharing these with the crew, but he especially values Barnacles and Inkling's opinions. and they both love seeing his drawings as well. :D

But yeah, thats all here. :>
