Hello friends!☺️ . It’s been so long since I’ve made up a monthly tbr... I’m not sure on whether or not I’ll end up completing my January TBR pile since I’ve been pretty sick since the day after Christmas😷. . #ElenasBookshelf Alys și fiara de Peternelle van Arsdale este o carte despre care m-am gândit mult ce să scriu. Urmărește viața lui Alys, care a întâlnit Mâncătoarele de Suflete atunci când acestea i-au distrus satul natal. I-au omorât pe adulți, iar pe copii i-au lăsat în pace, aceștia fiind găsiți de niște călători și duși în Defaid, un alt sat. În Defaid domnesc reguli stricte - Marele Preot este cel ce propăvăduiește despre Bunul Păstor, iar cuvântul lui este lege. Pentru a se apăra de Mâncătoarele de Suflete, oamenii din Defaid construiesc un Gard, obligând copiii veniți din satul distrus, inclusiv pe Alys, să vegheze noaptea și să apere satul. Alys, deși s-a întâlnit cu acele creaturi, a mai întâlnit una - Fiara, cea mai temută dintre toate. Romanul semnat de Peternelle van Arsdale este unul care pare să bată pasul pe loc. Mi-a plăcut mult stilul în care este scrisă povestea, însă narațiunea în sine e fadă, lipsită de evenimente. Deși permanent se întâmplă ceva, Alys e o fire observatoare, care nu face absolut nimic, doar se uită și tace. Niciodată nu ia inițiativa și niciodată nu spune, măcar în gând, care îi sunt adevăratele intenții sau păreri. Foarte bine construită a fost societatea Defaidului, dar și tot ce ține de ceilalți oameni din împrejurimi, puterea fricii și a cuvântului, însă finalul a fost foarte dezamăgitor. THE BEAST IS AN ANIMAL I out now! I'm about half way through and and it's so intriguing to read. Kto już czytał? 😍 Bestia👹 to powieść, po której człowiek nie potrafi się otrząsnąć, choć doskonale zdaje sobie sprawę z fikcji literackiej. Trudno rozpatrywać też tę książkę w kategorii jakiegokolwiek gatunku literackiego, ponieważ najbardziej przypomina baśń – taką, której jednak małe dzieci nie powinny czytać. Mylący może być też tytuł i opis, ponieważ nic nie przygotowuje na to, co autorka zawarła w powieści. Zobaczyć ekranizacja 📺 na dużym ekranie – marzenie, które mam nadzieję, że niedługo się spełni.
